Used to love Sundays TV.... we'd set the video recorder to record whatever Motocross was on while we were racing schoolboy all over the south of England....to watch when we got back Sunday evening. Still got a lot of them on VHS. Miss the 2 strokes 🤗🤗
The great Dave Thorpe. The so-called "worlds fastest novice" according to Motocross Action Magazine. Yeah right. Tell that to Jeff Ward, David Bailey, Johnny O and a whole host of the fastest motocrossers ever, who all stood below him on the podium more than once. Thorpe was so silky smooth, he did appear to be riding casually. Admittedly, on this day he was only doing what he needed to do and nothing more, which is what a true champion does.
