Hey Saff, I think they modeled Hans Eriksson off of you. I plan on adding Hans to my gruul deck so I can have some of that awesome card luck in commander.
I feel like Damping Sphere could be worth it. I get there will be time where you're cast like 2 and 3 spells per turn, but being a hard counter to storm and a different option with Tron would be worthwhile.
After watching Acid Moss, then seeing Pillage from an opponent. I just got the spark to want to do Gruul Ponza. Feels like it should be the dirtiest thing alive.
Is there a reason you didn't sideboard blood moons into your deck against the rack deck? im positively sure that that would slow them down a lot, and you woulnd't have to land destroy their non basics, so the clock would tick slower with the rack.
Perhaps. at least in game 1 I don't think we saw too many non-basics. It should be noted that blood moon instead of acid moss would've lost game 2 since it would've been taken by the inquisition of Kozilek.
Non-budget does the deck probably want to run fetch lands to double trigger landfall? Obviously not too many as to not clog the deck, but still relevant?
ehh I disagree. Sure bolt could've stopped the combo, but ultimately wouldn't have put Seth in a better position. Next turn he'd be forced to make the same play of ramping and hoping there was no combo
Someone should tell the 8 rack opponent (and also Seth btw) that both players should be choosing to draw in an 8 rack matchup. Having more digital cardboard in your hand is what matters in that matchup.
So, I accidentally set the playback speed to 0.25 instead of speeding it up like normal and OMG Seth sounds like a old guy doing a Bill Cosby impression XD I'm dead
Crazy that most of this deck could be in historic, with just changes to the ramp cards like search for tomorrow and rampant growth. Yet, I bet despite the similarities, it would not work at all in historic. God, historic is so unbalanced right now.
Seth gets destroyed by 3 copies if a card in his opponent's top 10 and salt for days. Seth destroys an opponent with 3 copies of a car in his top 10 and doesn't even mention it rofl.
Thought I was going crazy with that call at 39:00
I was looking all over my phone for it.
@@brighamschellinger147 same
Ha I was watching from my phone so I was really confused.
Yeah I started looking around like "WHAT IS THAT NOISE AND WHERE IS IT COMING FROM!"
I was also watching from my phone about to sleep i hear it and im like:who the fuck is calling me this late at night. Nope just Seth's craziness
14:47
"oh man I just want to draw cards but we should try to win"
this may be the most Saffron Olive phrase out there.
3:36 the utter resignation of ever pronouncing Mwonvuli really caught me off guard
I almost spat out my water
Never change, Seth
I'm glad you noticed that. So funny.
You should watch mono green land destruction he has to say it like 20 times.
39:34 was the pleasant Kenobi calling trying to say that he had a Better beard than you?
I am decently positive Death was calling.
Deadass thought that was my phone when it happened 😂😂
@@bruhnaw9978 same here

This is everything I want from budget magic. A 5-, 6- and a 7-drop based deck that shouldn't necessarily work in modern but still does. Well done
thanks for the modern content! cant get enough of it
I’d like to see this with field of the dead and like 3 snow-basics
There wouldn't be enough lands with different names
@@tbomb5016 snow lands
@@ShadowWasntHere8433 there would only be a total of 7 lands with different names then, which would be way too inconsistent
This could work if you go all out and forget about the dude that likes basic lands. Probably don’t need it since field is a finisher as well
IN match 5 the random call threw me for such a hard loop. I was like what is going on where is that coming from.
I'm at work watching this right now while eating 'dinner' (3rd shift) and did a mad scramble for my headset before I realized nothing was ringing lol.
I appreciate how you could give this deck to someone green to modern and they would learn the deck'a matchups very quickly.
Feels like you probably want all 4 Search for Tomorrow. Your best draws are when you have that on T1.
“There’s the Phallus”- Saffron Olive, this video at 23:08
That G3 against 8Rack was beautiful!
Acid moss is very underrated! I love seeing it play out that well
Of course the thing that Seth is most excited about is the 4 blood moons in the sideboard.
Is there a way to build a deck with the improvise mechanic in modern?
Perhaps a interesting project for a budget build
Man that loss from the greed in match 3 hurt my soul
You had me at "Temur"
"mmmnvuuumn acid moss" 😂
I love that seth will always fetch another island, even if the whole deck just has one blue mana symbol!
Never change!
Hey Saff, I think they modeled Hans Eriksson off of you. I plan on adding Hans to my gruul deck so I can have some of that awesome card luck in commander.
A fair ramp deck? In this economy?
Acid Moss is underrated. I ran it in my Titanshift deck and would catch people with it all the time. Especially Tron players.
A non budget version of this with Fetches, Uros, Field of the Dead etc could be pretty good.
I really like Pylath, seems surprisingly good in modern.
I've only gotten thru the deck tech. I really hope you could get different editions of Blood Moon for full jank value.
"Fifteen days to slow the spread," that's what they said, that's what they said....
Maybe if people had actually done it, we wouldnt still be here. Other countries got their shit together.
@@fishman523 agreed. Four and a half months of violent protests in my hometown, and it's all outta control. Darn.
Why is there no artifact/enchantment destruction in the 75?

Nice deck. Now use Panharmonicon and that 6-drop dude to double landfall triggers!
Nice deck, i saw some variant with azusa and amulet haha
Would a maindeck Blood Moon be good?
Budget magic is so awesome
"you know what? We only live once"
*Dies*
Can you jam a couple copies of The Great Aurora in here somehow?
10:45 in what world did opponent go to side board and decide blood moon was a good and effective card here lol
I am surprised that Frenzied Tilling is not in the deck.
Non-budget does the deck probably want to run fetch lands to double trigger landfall? Obviously not too many as to not clog the deck, but still relevant?
Yeah, going shields down against that saheeli was super not worth it. Could you not have killed it right there with bolt and the valakut damage?
Valakut doesn't hit Planeswalkers
@@cacs2201Ah, you're right. I mistook casting bolts from under them for them dealing the damage to Kaya earlier.
valakut exploration can't hit planeswalkers but I do agree that saving the bolt of hitting the clear combo on board is pretty much mandatory
ehh I disagree. Sure bolt could've stopped the combo, but ultimately wouldn't have put Seth in a better position. Next turn he'd be forced to make the same play of ramping and hoping there was no combo

Kinda would have loved to see more games, a bit too many opponents bricked horribly.
I imagine the first opp looking at this deck saying: What in tarnation is this?! (No ideia why I remembered this old meme)
This is a commander deck in modern 😂😂 I love it!!!
So, I accidentally set the playback speed to 0.25 instead of speeding it up like normal and OMG Seth sounds like a old guy doing a Bill Cosby impression XD I'm dead
What?! Did your opponent even see a non-basic in game 1? Why would they keep blood moon in haha
is budget?
seth was just looking for a budget deck where he can play blood moon
Seth, I love ya, but you have to READ THE DAMN CARD NAMES!!!! It’s PHYLATH. PHY-LATH. Not Phalyth.
I think he does it on purpose at times. If it makes you feel better I have played against much worse.
"We can draw cards next turn"
Who are you and what have you done with Seth?
Wait isn't Avenger modern legal?
2 In the list.
@@eusouzoom I totally missed them in the intro 🤪

No panharmonicon? Seth, Seth, Seth...
What happened to playing in leagues? I think it’s a much better way of assessing whether a deck is good because your competition is much more intense.
I love her
I didn't know that Commander allows you to play 4-ofs. Go figure.
I feel this deck needs a better SB. Better artifact, enchantment, and GY hate
No Growth Spiral? Seems like an auto include
I guess with the budget mana it’s a bit harder. Makes sense.
Hand destruction and spot removal for engine pieces. Modern Jund might actually be good against this deck.
Seth, It's okay to mispronounce things. But we need to talk about how to say "Phylath"...

Modern again? Really sad you don't like other formats.
