All my video are clone my self with the same technic of masking.. its fun , and need good story moving timing for the best result and it will be like 2 different person 😅😁👍👏👏.. thanks premiere gal👍
Thanks for the tutotial! I'm working this now because I'm filming a short commercial for my own product and have no actors, no other cameraman and no budget lol! Thank you. I will share the results, if you like.
Talking to yourself can be pretty simple: Record your Clone A shots all in one go. Lets say Clone A is the interviewer, "A" asks the question, and answer it in your mind. That way the timing should be pretty natural when it comes to post production. You can also answer the question aloud and cut the audio in post for clone A during the answer phase. But then you'd have the problem of clone A's moving lips.
I really enjoyed watching this video and your other tutorials! I’m a reporter and edit my own videos. I’ve been watching tutorials to come up with more creative editing techniques and appreciate how straightforward your edits are. Thanks!
Hi, I tried this and I think it is worth mentioning that you have to be very careful to have a controlled environment where the light cannot change. If you are trying to do this with natural light you need to be very quick unless it's very overcast. Also, are you intending to do a follow-up where you explain how you can key-frame the opacity mask and have your clones interact with objects?
i mean this kinda simple you mask out the clips and what expected it's a cloning video if your a beginner you shouldn't be looking for this "advanced" tutorial
I teach videography and graphic design to middle schoolers. I'll use this video in the upcoming school year as the basis of part one of a project that we did last year but in Photoshop. We'll kick it up a notch in the next phase and add dialogue as you did in your skit.
Very easy to understand and very clear in showing how to do. Thanks a lot! I already worked with you instructions and I am happy to see the result. If you have the time to check yourself - you're very welcome😌
I am unable to see where I draw using the bezier pen, I also cannot select outside the phrame like you are doing. But these 2 bugs are quite common from what I gathered. No fix has worked for me so far. This program really does have ALOT of bugs.
Thank you so much for this great work, please I want to ask if there is more ideas you can recommend for input and improvements on the lighting system or to huge each other If possible
this is i see 1st video in your channel , & its so amazing !!! you are really best explains in this video. i dont know more about english but, i can understand what you say in this video!!!! thanks to you keep it up
I LOVE those lights, but the price is too high for what I can afford right now. What is a cheaper light you would recommend for someone starting out? Thank you.
Is there any way you can make multiple clones of yourself that cross paths or touch each other? Is that possible at all? If so can you make a tutorial on that because I cant find anything but I have a really cool project idea 😭😭😭
@PremiereGal At about 2 minutes into your video you're showing how you setup for your video. In that video, there are "hits" in the video that run horizontally in the video. Can you tell me what causes that? I work in Premiere and I get "hits" like that in my video projects and I don't know what causes them. My video "hits" are usually black. Please help! I'd like any suggestions that would eliminate these from my videos. Thank you. @kidcix
Thanks for the tutorial. It's very helpful seeing how it's done. Does this only work for indoor scenes where the light is consistent using artificial light? What if you're using natural daylight and in some shots there's more sun coming into the room or it gets darker? Or if you're outside you couldn't ensure a consistent look. Wouldn't that mean your footage won't match up when trying to composite them together?
I need HELP: for some reason, after I put video1 on top of video2 and I try to use the "mask" or "crop" tool, it gives me a black background....instead of merging both video layers... :(
Hey guys! Thanks for watching! It was a fun one to make! Are you going to clone yourself or someone for an upcoming video? Lemme know!

yes even we r planning to clone because we have to shoot a dance video where we need two people!!but ya thx for tutorial it wad really good!
It's always a cool effect to play with. When you want to talk to yourself though, it's really hard to time everything :D
U can always record audio on your phone and playback when u shoot the second part. So u can talk to yourself more easily

This was great premiere Gal, I thought this was more complex until I saw how easy you made it. :)
Intro was fun, liked how you went through the whole process quickly but succinctly.
Ya! For sure, it take a bit of moving the the masks around until it's just right, but not much time to do! :)
What camera setting are you using? Focus mode, iso, shutter, aperture, white balance to film the clone effect?
this was great PremiereGal, thank you so much!
Mural Dreams by Laura thx Laura!
