Thank you sir! I think you got what I was trying to achieve. I very much enjoy video that allows me to drift off a bit, maybe reflect. The repetition and pattern shots were done to try for that idea. I certainly appreciate you seeing it that way as well.
Pretty clever! I might have included one circular pan from the heights... But I like the combo of the music and the angular field... Thank you, I'll subscribe!!!
For all you had to go through that day and the editing problems I think it looks great. And Ken is right, looks like grass cloth wallpaper. Wow, who's old now? Keep it up!
Hi Linda, Ken Heron fan here. So I sub to you. Liked this Video, well done. Like the sync on the music and video transitions. Keep up the good work. Like the write up also.
I think we all have this type of story from time to time. I was threatened by the "railroad police" once. They had guns so I did left, went about a mile and flew back and filmed the trains anyway. Sometime you just got a do it. Next time you're in Tucson, check out the line of about 400 railroad engines stored east of Tucson about 20 miles at Marsh station Rd. You can even see them on Google Map.
I will be happy with 3d after +KenHeron and his smugness. :P So, my two cents... I love the subject. I love the fact you are showing us a field from the vantage point most people do not see. It is why I am in love with flying and being even just a few feet AGL. That change in perspective. I read the whole story so I know you had troubles making this film so... I dunno if it is my crappy laptop or ???, the first minute of the vid is choppy and almost unwatchable for me. Is that your signature end clip at the end? I love that you are doing that and is something I am working on myself... yet there is 8 seconds of black from fade out to you in the trunk. I feel it is a little long. Take my ideas for what you will. I am a newbie and know very little. Thank you for this film.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me, that means a lot. The issue with the beginning of the video may just be because the video needs to buffer a little and when played too soon gets choppy. It can happen if you have a slower internet connection and especially if you are then also trying to watch 4k footage. Try watching it again but this time let it load for a bit before you press play and see if that fixes it for you. I have not heard others having this issue and things look okay on my end. As to the clip at the end.. Yeah maybe I'll start doing that more. I've been told it would make the video better. We'll see how it goes next time 'round. I agree that the time between the end of the video and my clip can probably be shortened a bit. Thanks again for you honest opinion and input!
Yes, I opened the video and immediately pushed 'pause' and waited for video to fully 'load' then played video. MUCH better but still... BUT I am gonna chock it up to my $145 laptop from Target. My lowend trying to run your high quality. Yeah, I woke up last night thinking I sounded like a d**k in my comment. Forgive me. The film was super cool and I really like it. Newbies like you and me need for people to be honest and point out what is working and what is not. So, let's stick together and maybe someday we will be as good as +KenHeron :) +ken Heron
Howdi Mike! Thanks for the nice compliment! I don't use special software for adding the soundtrack. I just used Adobe Premiere CS6. Sometimes I will use Adobe Audition to tweak the music a little if it needs it, but that was not the case here.
Well actually I kind of liked it! Just curious, but is there a editing software that you would recommend for a newbie? Something that is user friendly yet still very functional?
There are lots of editing softwares that are user friendly. It's hard to say what would work for you. For me personally I started right in Premiere because I knew that eventually I would outgrow a simpler program and would then have to relearn a new one. I also use other programs in my Adobe CC subscription and working in Premiere makes the transition from one to the next easier for me as well. One program I can recommend outside of Premiere (that I have worked with) is Hitfilm. Great program and Hitfilm 4 express is free! The free version just doesn't allow you to edit 4k and it and has some other limitations as far as effects but it may feel more user friendly to you. Hope that helps. Cheers and thanks for watching!
Very Nice video. I appreciated the back-story. Brought so much more to the video.
Very artistic Linda, well done
Thank you!
A really cathartic video. Along with the music I could have just watched and listened for quite a long time. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! And thanks for subscribing!
Great job again. I like the birds eye view looking down - great opener and also your flying backwards and sideways shots are nice!
Thanks, that is very kind of you to say!
Very nice!
Thanks Rodney!
This part looks like a piece of wall paneling from a 1973 basement: th-cam.com/video/94a3gxONFL4/w-d-xo.html
Very nice!
I am a child of the 70's :)
At the 30 sec mark I was thinking it looked like a pair of corduroy pants I use to have. And yes, they were bell bottoms! ;)
beautiful
Thank you!

Being first is important. You win! nothing...

Wow, sounds a little scary! I'll have to visit Tucson sometime and see!
CleverDarkElve I will have to send you a short clip of the trains so you can see what it looks like at least before the railroad police get there
BTW it was Ken Heron that sent me this way...
Thanks for watching, Ken is a funny dude!
Beautiful video and well worth your effort! My computer has enough trouble with 1080p. There's no way it could render 4k! lol.
I appreciate you watching just the same, thanks!
The video was great in and of itself, but C just might be right. "The Story" does make the video better.
Thanks Mike! I appreciate the input!
