Years after the show ended (and even longer since I left the community) I still find myself drawn back to this song every once in a while. Theres something hauntingly beautiful about it that resonates with me in a way that I don't think any other song does. I probably haven't seen an episode in 5 years, but this has stuck with me.
it is for a lot of people. 4everfreebrony just hits different. his songwriting is amazing. I come back here regularly, after being out of the fandom likely as long as yourself.
I think that it's not in the gaining that we find true happiness, but in the giving. To the man who has everything, including all the time in the world, wouldn't there be infinite happiness in giving to others, in enriching their lives?
4everfreebrony That is really quite astute of you to note. However, with humanitarianism (correct me if that is not it) and it's... expansion?... growth? I lack the word... cannot misanthropy also root itself deeper in the same aspect?
"It is ponderous, willing to know my fate. In its longest lingering while to wait. I can see, memory taken tolls.I'm not ready, ready to let them go" This gets me every time right in the feels Q_Q. In my head when I listen to this song I just imagine that Twilight is heartbroken after the last of her friends has passed away. Twilight is looking for a way to remove the pain she is feeling from this. She realizes that the only way to get rid of the pain that is agonizing her is to forget her memories with her friends since its her memories that are causing her this pain. Twilight refuses to forget her friends since life without these memories she holds dear would be a fate far worse. Best to have known friendship and lost then to never have friends at all.
The set of crystal-y sounding chimes during the last set of choruses is the guaranteed point where, every single time I listen to this, I will at least tear up a bit and start feeling the chest pains of deeply rooted sympathetic sorrow.
I just finished the show and came here, cause i think this to be one of the best and most beautiful songs to come from any fandom. And not only that, it's also remarkable how this song hit the mark on the same themes that would be touched upon by the series only years later! I really think this fandom is unlike any others, having the same liveliness and sentiments of love for its characters as something like Undertale comunity, but with years and whole eras of changes and development that make it feel *seasoned* and kinda bittersweet. I still haven't seen even a half of what this wonderful art cluster has to offer, with lots of cool stuff still being made. I see this new world come alive, and it's more open for me to explore than ever before!
This really hits different when you're returning from years of being inactive in the fandom. It's one of those songs that makes my throat get all tight and painful, even when I dont actually cry. I made my first true friend through this show, and now we dont really talk anymore. I'm not ready to let her go, I'm not ready to leave that part of me behind. The world keeps spinning, though, even if I'm not ready for it to. Time will march on, with or without me. I must carry on with the memories of good times.
For those who would argue that immortality is a curse, I would ask you this: Is experiencing the death of a loved one any less painful for mortals? Does your own approaching death bring you comfort? We all suffer from grief. The question is whether or not you enjoy your existence regardless.
I find death comforting. Its guaranteed that one day I will die and that really calms me. Because life is full of suffering and death will be my release. I am waiting for that emptiness. But before that, I must fill myself with beauty, because while life is horrid it has another side. Thats why I am listening to this, thank you for making everything easier to withstand.
I find death, the cessation of existence, the destruction of all that I am and my capacity to simply be, on any level, a terrifying thought. And the idea that anyone would find comfort in that - even see it as some kind of ultimate goal, rather than something to be avoided like the plague (excuse the pun), is almost as horrific.
HaniiPuppy Death is a part of life and it has been turned into this big mystery in the western world. Its natural and it shouldnt be feared and hidden. Death is what gives life meaning, that is why every moment is so beautiful. Its so fragile.
I love how I can hear every individual voice singing in harmony. Each individual is dead (to me). I never knew them, but I know they were great ponies and now they are gone - each subject to the same undeserved tragedy of inevitable death. It sent shivers down my spine hearing the little girl sing about the awareness of her own mortality before joining the choir as one of the individuals. And the image fits so well with the song. It sounds like they are singing "remember us" to Twilight. She holds the world in her hooves in the form of her memories amongst the dark void behind her because she and her memories are the only things that survive the consuming void of death. That's why the memories are in the form of a globe (to me). The remembrance she holds so heavily is the world to these ponies because the memories are the only thing that remains of their individuality after they are gone. After long enough, everything that made each of these ponies special / distinct will be gone, which is why the individuality in each of their voices give me a heavier sense of loss.
I this shared to my non-brony friend on Facebook yesterday and he replied with this: "Wow that is just spectacular, very beautiful, and they are just spot on with each other" I talked to him today and said it was so amazing that he cried. He asked me if this song was really in Friendship is Magic. When I told him it was fan made his mind flew out in six directions.
Who did he mean when he said "they are spot on with each other?" You do know that other than Chi-Chi's female voice, that is 4everfreebrony singing all the male vocal parts, one at a time, right? From Bass to High and Low Tenor and Falsetto, that is just one singer.... :)
He actually meant that we have voices that blend well, as well as being precise with timing. I have four parts, whereas Chi-Chi has two, during the chorus.
I feel terrible for not listening to this song more in depth sooner, but let me tell you, never EVER has a brony song put tears in my eye. This song broke that. Thank you for making such an amazing song ;)
Mr.Russkij Lullaby does not compare and there are several other, sadder versions of it or the event itself. It is a song about longing, want and shame. This, this is utter loss, remembrance and depending on view... hope. I fear the loss this song describes that may be coming but the important thing is to cherish and remember. No matter what happens, hope and remembrance.
Mr.Russkij Lullaby for a Princess was never that sad. A little said, yes, but it was just a really good song that got extremely popular. The only songs from the fandom which I think might be sadder than this one are "Blank Pages", which is about the loss of memory, and "Wish List", which is about self loathing.
ganondorfchampin I guess it depends on personal view. This song comes off as bittersweet to me rather then sad. Twilight has been granted the greatest gift her teacher could give her alongside her complete trust, and yet, it could mean Twilight might lose something very dear to her. And she simply contemplates all of this.
Mr.Russkij "Eternal rest, to witness being erased" The song is bittersweet, but the sad parts are very hard hitting, and the focus is clearly on the downer parts. Lullaby for a Princess isn't as hard hitting, first we know Luna is going to return eventually, and second, the theme has been done to death, for example "Home" by Jeff Burgess. Admittedly immortality has also been done to death, both for Celestia and Twilight (though I prefer Celestia death songs), but here the way it's delivered is particularly punchy IMO.
I have come again!!! After 4 years of my last comment, and 8 years at all!! I'm still living!! I have new family new wife, and probably new life!!! Thank you. This song is still in my heart❤
What's weird is that a member of the MLP team also said that "Twilight won't outlive her friends" recently, yet it seems the Finale showed exactly that.
@@Wendek. They could have simply been wrong, maybe deliberately. Telling an audience, 'hey, those ones will die and that one will live on alone' is very off-color for the storytellers and the corporation. Regardless, whoever's interpretation of future fictional events counts as canon doesn't matter as much as how we choose to imagine them.

Years and years later, this song still makes me tear up. Probably more now that the show is over. A mark of an excellent song is when it can make you feel so emotional.
I see Twilight a few hundred years into the future, and she is visiting the graves of her friends. As the song progresses, I see Twilight flash back to the day before each of the Mane 6 died. Pinkie would have a heart attack, Fluttershy would die in her sleep, Rainbow would be involved in an accident, Rarity's would be work related, and Applejack would die mysteriously while staying in Twilight's castle. But that's just me
@@daelen.cclark well, eating too much sweets can make plague build up on your heart and arteries near the heart will eventually lead to a heart attack, and flying or driving too fast can eventually cause you to crash which some crashes are fatal, and some people die in their sleep either because of poisoning or a sudden stroke, and before the safety rules and stuff were set in, companies made their workers die on the job, like someone got grinded up in a gear while trying to fix the gear and the triangle waist factory fire where hundreds of women who worked there died of smoke inhalation, etc. So, it's a high possibility that Pinkie Died of a heart attack because she ate unhealthy foods, Rarity could have gotten hit in the head with a 2nd sewing machine that was on a high shelf that broke and cause the 2nd sewing machine to fall and hit her head and caused to have a broken skull that eventually led to her death, and Applejack could have died of Cyanide poisoning since apple seeds contain cyanide, Rainbow dash could have flown then experienced a sudden wing fracture that could have caused her to lose control which she flew and crashed into a mountain and died, and Fluttershy could have died of a sudden stroke.
This song just makes me remember how we list a good chunk of our musicians and content creators. It takes me back to when I actually watched the show and all my friends did too. Now they've all moved on to other counties and jobs. Makes me reminisce man.
Beautiful moving music exists aplenty, but songs like this are beyond rare. You can listen to new music for years and never come across a song that has the kind of cathartic effect that this one does. And what’s more incredible is that this album has numerous more songs that are all nearly (if not equally) as powerful as this one. I’ve never found any other artist who’s music can repeatedly bring tears to my eyes like yours Garrison. You’re an incredible musician to put it lightly.
I always saw this song as bitter sweet. The idea behind it. The memories are painful, but they bring such joy. I don’t think she ever forgot until the end of time where everything’s erased. She carries with her every though, until the end where she herself is watching everything pass.
After all these years I didn't know I wasn't subbed, and now that the show is over and I look back on the good moments, and the bad ones... all the conventions where ponies were everywhere in many forms. And most of all, hanging out with my friends and watching this show every week, who were there through all my moments, the good, the bad, and the inevitable. We will all carry on the torch of harmony in our hearts from here on out. Stay amazing everypony!
My god, this brings me nostalgic when i got into the fandom, those first weeks in it, where amazing, the music, the show, the fandom, the art, the people, forums, videos, etc, so many good memories
You know the saddest part about all of it? She's immortal, meaning she will live infinite lifetimes, have an infinite number of new friends and she will eventually forget what any of them were like. After five years, I have trouble remembering my grandmother's face without a picture. Imagine how hard it would be after a thousand.
You know, sometimes I go back to songs and wonder if they have the same impact on me that they did the first time I listened. Tears still glisten in my eyes listening to this, just like the first time. 4everfree your pieces always will have a tiny part of my heart, from times of joy to when it's time to see my friends pass to when I myself pass. Thank you.
I will always kick myself for not discovering this song sooner. This is such a beautiful song and it brings me to tears of both Joy and Sadness. Thank you 4everfreebrony for creating such wonderful music
"I can see, memory taken tolls. I'm not ready, ready to let them go." AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH WHY MUST YOU HIT ME RIGHT WHERE IT HURTS?? Memories are sometimes the worst gift mankind was given, and sometimes the best. My favorite memories are also the ones that make me the saddest. She was my best friend. Now, does she even remember me? I remember her. I would give almost anything to see her again. Maybe she's only a state away, but it feels like the entire universe stretches between us. Oh Hazel... will I ever see you again? I need to tell you something. Please don't make me leave it unsaid...
i cried.... thinking about twilight coming to terms with the fact that she will have to watch her friends die...and i cried thinking about the fact i will never see their world .. and im going to die and then i will be forgotten in time..and oh god now i'm crying again :'c
1. Some people turned MLP into a religion called Celestianism. It teaches that we go to Equestria after we die. Celestianism isn't even a joke (or at least isn't always a joke - there are some trolls, as there always are with weird cults and new religious movements), it's something some of them legitimately believe in. 2. Why would you want to see their world? It's got nice people/ponies, but Equestria is genuinely terrifying. It seems to get invaded at least once a year, plants and wild animals are constantly trying to kill you, and there's a suspiciously high number of orphanages.
Caught this randomly on related videos, and wasn't sure what to think at first; I'm not often into the more solemn stuff, but this grew on me quickly. The vocals are all really nice and the layers work together well, and the instrumentation is simple in a way that emphasizes the mood and vocals really well. I came in on a whim and found a really beautiful, moving performance. Good work!
IM not crying ....YOURE CRYING HMPFF😭 why is this sooo goood why does this song hit my soul so hard. i dont know if i should ball my eyes out or just be in pure awe of this song i guess both
Wow! That's an intense discussion on immortality! XD Alright, I think it's time I put my words in on the matter. So, Megan McCarthy - a writer for MLP:FiM - pointed out that Twilight will not outlive her friends, correct? If so, the way she worded it still leaves Twilight's fate open to several directions. On one side, she could be implying that Twilight is, simply put, not immortal. And being an Alicorn, she would only have the aspects of the three pony races, as opposed to an extended period of life. On a different side, she could be implying that - downer incoming - Twilight dies. That is to say, if she were to become immortal, she would be killed before she had a chance to live longer than her friends. She would die before her friends died. Putting death aside, remember that there's also a chance that Twilight could become the ruler one day, being put in charge after Celestia's rule. It wouldn't make any sense for her to not live a long time if she were to claim that position. Besides, maybe Megan will change her mind. :\ Anyway, I'm amazed to see all the feedback this song has received! And 50,000 views!?!? WHAT!?!?!? You guys are all awesome. Thank you for your support! p.s. - You guys are really going to like my next post. ;)
Of course, you could also interpret that since Friendship is a magic shared equally between others, that they become immortal, especially if you take into the account the usage and inherent connection of the elements of harmony. however over the top it may seam, it as far as I am aware, it hasn't been dis-proven :P
Personally, I've never been a fan of the idea of Twilght being immortal, so I was relieved when Megan said she wasn't. This is because the idea of being immortal, to me, is absolutely terrifying. Seeing everyone and everything you hold dear break down and die around you, over and over, while you never change, never able to grow old with those you love... Such a fate is something that scares me almost more than anything, including death. With this in mind, the thought of such being the fate of a character I hold dear is something I most certainly am not a fan of. That having been said, this is still a GREAT song about death and loss in general, and it brings a tear to my eye. Great work on it, guy!
Thank you for your opinion and the compliment! Yeah, I'm honestly a big fan of sad stories, so I wouldn't really mind watching her witness everything pass as she lives on. However, to live it is a different story, and I would not be in favor of it happening to anyone. Truly, unless one is completely heartless, it is a curse. Man, I swear, I must be really into the depressing side of the music scene, lol.
4everfreebrony Guys, Immortality is not a curse to ALL I think it would be a blessing, while yes, i would feel bad about having to see my friends and loved ones die, I am sure I would EVENTUALLY get over it, and once I did, I would relish the chance to watch the world and universe unfold around me, see the progress society makes, guide and tempt said society into new and grander directions. Immortality is not a a curse. I do not know a word for it, but its in between, because it can be bad Or good. Also Celestia and Luna did it, and they seam fine
Rare song about immortality that's not like "oh nnnno being immortal is soo horrible why am i immortalll", but just talks about others passing away and you being able to witness this. Really pleasant.
Moonshine Dusk Garrison might say, if he was here, that there is a fine line between strong emotions: love, when provoked, can easily turn to hate. so when we are elated, it can easily turn to sadness. It's like bittersweet chocolate; it's pleasant because of the extremes in bitter and sweet. So these beautiful and stirring chant songs are all the more beautiful because of the sadness they contain. One thing I believe is that there is always a hint of hope in every one of Garrison's songs.
4everfreebrony I would have responded sooner, I honestly couldn't formulate much of a response. Poetry isn't exactly something I'm good at, and most of the time my emotion stays bottled up and difficult to describe as wonderfully as these songs. One could say life itself is like a bittersweet chocolate in and of itself.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to find this and the other chants on The Dreamer's Door! I've been on a bit of a nostalgia kick lately and this hit me just right in the feels~
Speaking as someone advanced in years ( Old Being Speak ) who once upon a dark time had to attend the funerals of 99% of his Friends, the line," Numerous Regrets, the Art of Passing Time" ...Could easily be the Cost of Passing Time. It speaks the Strongest to me. I spent years as the Canis Major in SL, in Oathbound Service to the Princesses Royal and the Empress of Roanoak. Best time I have ever spent online and the values of Friendship I learned there still live in my Heart. Thank you, Ponies of every Tribe and to the Writers of that Amazing Show. Thank you for this Chant. Portraying the Living Night Sky gave me the opportunity to pass this very message to all who would listen during the Years of Fabled Canterlot and Storied Roanoak. Some Days and Nights are never gone.
And here I was thinking that ”here on the moon” was 4everfreebrony No.1 hit on TH-cam as well as Spotify but I stand corrected this song is aperently the number one hit on TH-cam and now I understand why...it's mesmerizing
I listened to this on repeat for almost a month when it was first posted. Can remember studying in the library freshman year of college with this playing in the headphones. Then it was lost to me through the sands of time. Somehow this popped up on my feed just now (algorithm at it again), and the thumbnail caught my eye, I clicked this so fast and was taken right back to that moment of my life. Great song, great memories, thank you
The moment that I saw Twilight had become an alicorn I told my friend that she would have to watch her friends and family die. Then I watched the finale episode and sat there and died on the inside as I realized she probably knew that too now and all she has left is Spike and the other princesses.
Well there's always gotta be one person that spawns the stupid comments. I don't do it often but when I do, I try to be a complete dumbkoff about it. XD
Listening to this song literally made me cry rivers and didn't even realize it until it ended,It brought back so many memories it felt like my life was flashing before my very eyes, memories with friends i never got to say goodbye to.. memories of communities that helped me get through the hardest times of my life by far.. while I was late to the MLP community it really has a special place in my heart I will keep with me to the grave and whatever comes after it,Wish you all the best my brothers and sisters,Stay safe out there.
So sad, yet such a stunning tribute to that immortality we all wish to gain. The curse that clouds humanity's reasoning. No one should be immortal; loneliness is a horror not even the most evil of beings deserve. Immortality with Twilight is only the more saddening...
I was here 4 years ago. I had all, family, wife, healthy. I was here. And now im here again, still here if be true. I will die, i lost family, my wife go out. Thats my died. This music will be foreve in my mind and heart. Thank you. Just crying.

Yep, no doubt about it, this is a masterpiece, as are all of your other songs. Being a guy who thrives on melancholy and bittersweetness, this song has always resonated with me. When it came up in my playlist today, I had an epiphany: I realized I hadn't commented on any of your songs yet, despite loving all of them deeply for a long time. So, taking this opportunity, I decided to rectify that mistake and thank you not only for this one song, but for all of them. Emerald Eyes, all the other Chants, Pink Side of the Moon, Giggles & Gumdrops, Birdsong to name but a few; a meager example of your all-around excelence! Thank you for making such a wonderful music, it made me so much happier than I was before I started listening to you!
I LOVE this guy's voice so much! His voice is...I wanna say smooth but I don't know if that's the word for it. His voice makes me happy but the song is so sad. Why are my emotions so confused!
This song..... This FREAKIN' song...... I am on the verge of tears right now.... So many feels.... Fantastic job on this. 'Tis a shame I never found this earlier.
It really hurts my heart seeing these comments from years ago. I know that I’ll return to this song many years into the future, see this comment, and feel even more pain. We never realize how much time has passed until we think about all of the things that have changed in our lives. When this song released, I was 11 years old. I thought 16 was a speck on the horizon. But, I slowly became older and have forgotten how it felt to be young. Truly young. Innocent and carefree. This song about an immortal princess pony from the magical land of Equestria has made me think about my own past and brought that feeling of youth back to me.
I've listened to, and have sung, this song so many times now. This song brings a tear to my eye, but not because of poor Twilight in particular. When I hear this song I don't think of Twilight, honestly, my thoughts go to the Bronies themselves. I'm reminded that, regardless of how great we are now, we will not last forever. Both the show and the fandom will begin to die away. Of course, the spark will remain, and the art will be just as fantastic, but I think of the friendships this community has brought me and how they to will be lost and eventually forgotten. I feel I may live to see the day Bronies outlive their own fandom. I'm sure you had your own intentions for writing this song, 4ever, but that's to story it speaks to me.
Even though you're not wrong. fandoms never truly die. They do have low points, almost to the point where people think they disappeared, but they will always be there. And even if they do go away, the impact it left on us will remain. I don't see myself abandoning friendship any time soon.
An extreemly hauntingly beautiful peice as are the others in the series but this one in my opinion has something that makes it special. It makes me happy. It makes me happy to be a part of this community of talented individuals who have been brought together by one thing, a love for a show. It makes me happy to be part of a community so strong and compassionate it is capable of helping people live. This song, for me anyways, says something. It says that while things may change and become different those old memories of how things used to be? They are still with us influencing us. A true treasure thank you.
only really finally listened to the entirety of ponies at dawn’s memories album recently. never heard this song before but jesus, this is a beautiful piece. the lyrics are beautifully written while also ringing harshly true to real life, and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful, more beautiful than any song the sirens could sing.
Oh my gosh. This song has inspired me so much. It is absolutely beautiful, and your soloists are so talented. What feels! Amazingly composed; I have now listened to this song 4 times in a row. Thank you.

They say that a man who has everything must be the happiest in the world. But if said man had everything, what would be left for him to gain?
I think that it's not in the gaining that we find true happiness, but in the giving. To the man who has everything, including all the time in the world, wouldn't there be infinite happiness in giving to others, in enriching their lives?

In my head when I listen to this song I just imagine that Twilight is heartbroken after the last of her friends has passed away. Twilight is looking for a way to remove the pain she is feeling from this. She realizes that the only way to get rid of the pain that is agonizing her is to forget her memories with her friends since its her memories that are causing her this pain. Twilight refuses to forget her friends since life without these memories she holds dear would be a fate far worse. Best to have known friendship and lost then to never have friends at all.

Time does not wait.
It is both a Gift…and a Curse.
I hope you are doing well.
Given that what we see of how Twilight looks in the final episode compared to her friends this beautiful yet sad song is more fitting than ever.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude it's already been 10 years? I remember when this song dropped... Where has the time gone?
Never been a brony, but man does this song slap. Still coming back to it after discovering it years ago.
For those who would argue that immortality is a curse, I would ask you this: Is experiencing the death of a loved one any less painful for mortals? Does your own approaching death bring you comfort?
We all suffer from grief. The question is whether or not you enjoy your existence regardless.
For some, knowing that you will die some day actually is comforting. I guess it really depends on what you believe in.
HaniiPuppy
Death is a part of life and it has been turned into this big mystery in the western world. Its natural and it shouldnt be feared and hidden. Death is what gives life meaning, that is why every moment is so beautiful. Its so fragile.
Asmodeus H But you could use the same argument to say that evil dictators, serial murderers, rapists, etc. are good things to.
Well said.
I couldn't agree more to this.
Still listening to this masterpiece (this and the other chants). Depending on my mood, it can really hit hard.
Holy crap, ten years old. AND still getting new versions, too.
Congratulations.
If I live to see humanity become immortal, I will weep for all who died before.
Even after all these years... Damn. This song didn't have to go so hard.😭
“See you on the other side.”
“Oh twilight, no. There is no other side. This is it.”
I this shared to my non-brony friend on Facebook yesterday and he replied with this: "Wow that is just spectacular, very beautiful, and they are just spot on with each other"
I talked to him today and said it was so amazing that he cried.
What he said
:)
Only one word can really describe this song. Powerful.
Spyro:indeed.
"I'm not ready to let them go."
That hit me
I feel terrible for not listening to this song more in depth sooner, but let me tell you, never EVER has a brony song put tears in my eye. This song broke that. Thank you for making such an amazing song ;)
Not even Lullaby for a Princess?
Mr.Russkij "Eternal rest, to witness being erased"
The song is bittersweet, but the sad parts are very hard hitting, and the focus is clearly on the downer parts.
Thank you. This song is still in my heart❤
rip to all our headcanons about how this wasn’t actually gonna happen
It was so hard to see how they had all aged so much except her.
What's weird is that a member of the MLP team also said that "Twilight won't outlive her friends" recently, yet it seems the Finale showed exactly that.
@@Wendek. Maybe she's going to step down early. Not sure, but that may be possible.
@@Emanon389 or there is a darker variety. Where she dies with them.
But that's just me
But the real mystery is who dunnit!
I doubt they’d die like that, but I can see something similar on Twilights part.
Yep--just as beautiful as I remember.
I couldn't sleep, now I won't sleep. This song is too powerful and convey a huge message. Damn.
This song just makes me remember how we list a good chunk of our musicians and content creators. It takes me back to when I actually watched the show and all my friends did too. Now they've all moved on to other counties and jobs. Makes me reminisce man.
This hits different after watching the show from the very start to the very end...
Goosebumps the size of mountains over here.
Be careful, RL stein will turn it into a book if you say that word
I'm not ready, ready to let them go."
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH WHY MUST YOU HIT ME RIGHT WHERE IT HURTS??
Memories are sometimes the worst gift mankind was given, and sometimes the best. My favorite memories are also the ones that make me the saddest. She was my best friend. Now, does she even remember me? I remember her. I would give almost anything to see her again. Maybe she's only a state away, but it feels like the entire universe stretches between us. Oh Hazel... will I ever see you again? I need to tell you something. Please don't make me leave it unsaid...
i cried.... thinking about twilight coming to terms with the fact that she will have to watch her friends die...and i cried thinking about the fact i will never see their world .. and im going to die and then i will be forgotten in time..and oh god now i'm crying again :'c
send me the place of your tome stone it you have one
send me the place of your tome stone if you have one

Oh well. That one's going to hell anyways. Life lesson- DON'T PUSH!
Good work!
IM not crying ....YOURE CRYING HMPFF😭 why is this sooo goood
why does this song hit my soul so hard. i dont know if i should ball my eyes out or just be in pure awe of this song i guess both
Huh, it’s nearing a million views, you deserve it man
after the rain, "Let the rainbow remind you"
Hey, remember when Faust said that Twilight will grow old with all of her friends... haha funny.
You have predicted the ending of the show, gg
TheChinkCrusader We’ve been bamboozled boys!
Knowing this is canon after the finale is rough. With that being said, all hail Empress Twilight!
Fun fact: my vocal jazz group did a cover of this for out band concert. One of my favourite songs
Send a link if someone video'd it!
You recorded it, right?
Fun fact: I was in this Group 😂😂
Send video or it's fake news lol
Anyway, I'm amazed to see all the feedback this song has received! And 50,000 views!?!? WHAT!?!?!?
You guys are all awesome. Thank you for your support!
p.s. - You guys are really going to like my next post. ;)
We love you 4ever
4everfreebrony Guys, Immortality is not a curse to ALL
I think it would be a blessing, while yes, i would feel bad about having to see my friends and loved ones die, I am sure I would EVENTUALLY get over it, and once I did, I would relish the chance to watch the world and universe unfold around me, see the progress society makes, guide and tempt said society into new and grander directions.
This is so beautiful and depressing. Usually I'm not someone to obsess over a story idea so sad but I have to with this one
The finale makes this sadder.
10 años y todavía ronda en mi cabeza, que increíble. Y eso que yo ni siquiera era parte del fandom, pero si que hacia buen material los fans.
Why can't I stop listening to these chant songs!? Ugh, why do they have to be so good yet so sad simultaneously...
If this isn't played at my funeral then I am not dying
Wow! I lost this song years ago and upon hearing those first beautiful vocal chords, I’m right back. What fortune.
I accidentally just refound a CD of the album this is on from his bandcamp. This brings back intense nostalgia of 2014 and before. God bless.
I came for beautiful melodies, _I GOT FEELS INSTEAD._
Ever since this Twilicorn controversy started, no one ever seemed concerned that Cadance might lose Shining Armor forever. "True love" my Flank.
Welp, it's now confirmed. Hurts. This made me cry the frst time I listened to it. And today, Im crying again knowing this'll happen.
Great song, great memories, thank you
I’m really happy I discovered this fandom.
The moment that I saw Twilight had become an alicorn I told my friend that she would have to watch her friends and family die. Then I watched the finale episode and sat there and died on the inside as I realized she probably knew that too now and all she has left is Spike and the other princesses.
*Notices Twi is holding the world in her hoof* SHE HAS ATTAINED ULTIMATE POWAH!!!!
There's all these people in deep conversation about immortality, then there's this guy. Freaking great
Well there's always gotta be one person that spawns the stupid comments.
Well... it’s been about 10 years, and I only remembered part of the tune to this song, but at least I finally found it.
congratulations on 1 million!
So sad, yet such a stunning tribute to that immortality we all wish to gain. The curse that clouds humanity's reasoning. No one should be immortal; loneliness is a horror not even the most evil of beings deserve.
Immortality with Twilight is only the more saddening...
Breathtaking
Anyone here after The Last Problem?
I was here 4 years ago. I had all, family, wife, healthy. I was here. And now im here again, still here if be true. I will die, i lost family, my wife go out. Thats my died. This music will be foreve in my mind and heart. Thank you. Just crying.
I have come again!!! After 4 years of this comment, and 8 years at all!! I'm still living!! I have new family new wife, and probably new life!!! Thank you. This song is still in my heart❤
Amg! its finally out :DDDD and it is AWESOME
I know
Ir’s cool 👍
This is such a powerful song. I mean really beautifully powerful. Great job on everything! The music, voices, lyrics, all just amazing!
TH-cam is broken. I can't like the song more than once.
Could you ever? or are you joking?
Can you do that? Can you like a song twice?
...Well, aside from making a glitch happen, then no. You cannot like a song twice. Sadly, might I add.
FlameSwordedLink
Solution: Like it once in each of multiple accounts.
But then you can`t like it an infinite amount of times!
Whenever I hear this song, I don't know whether to cry, panic, or sit still in awe. It's beautiful.
1 Million Views upcoming!
Is nobody gonna talk about how you're both a bass and a tenor? I couldn't do that after years of professional voice lessons!
Well, that's definitely a profound way of looking at it. I like your point of view. :)
When I feel somber, this song makes me smile. I remember that everything is fleeting, most of all sadness. Bravo sir. Bravo.
Love the vocal production on this one and the overall sad/tragic feel of it
Holy....I need to step my game up, this is so cool it's almost scary.
SlyphStormARCHIVE Indeed.
This song carried me through so many tough times
only really finally listened to the entirety of ponies at dawn’s memories album recently. never heard this song before but jesus, this is a beautiful piece. the lyrics are beautifully written while also ringing harshly true to real life, and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful, more beautiful than any song the sirens could sing.
I'd seen this thumbnail in my recommended links for months and I never got around to listening to this. I deeply regret that. Gives me chills.
I now know, why The Immortal told Perry Rhodan, to be immortal is not everything in the universe. It's a curse. It's the greatest pain you can suffer.
that baritone is amazing
The fact that the show is ending makes this even sadder for me.
Oh my gosh. This song has inspired me so much. It is absolutely beautiful, and your soloists are so talented. What feels! Amazingly composed; I have now listened to this song 4 times in a row. Thank you.
Congrats on 1 million views!
And i will listen to this song for the next weeks again. Thanks Seth.
Poor twilight, she had to watch all her freinds slowly fade away from her life... everyone she knew will have passed and all she has is her memory's that are slowly fading away over the years... she will wait eternally for the relief of a death that will never pass... she will be stuck with this curse... everything she knew will fade and eventually it will only be her trying to remember their name's... poor twilight :(
Hearing this song in 2018 and it's still touching.
