- An Israeli detention guard turned whistleblower who leaked a photograph of a Palestinian prisoner forced to stand in a stress position has told ITV News that the things he saw "made his stomach turn".
The guard, who wishes to remain anonymous to protect his identity, said his experiences in the prison would shock "anyone with a conscience."
ITV News managed to speak to the prisoner in question, who was recently released and has returned to the southern Gaza strip.

I used to firmly stand with Israel because of the Oct tragedy my children defended Israel, up until recently. After all the protests in the US for the people of Palestine, I decided to educate myself (and my family) on the history of this war. The truth has been SHOCKING and APPALLING. When you go deep you will realize neither side is in the right. Both have done atrocities to one another and the only thing that remains the same is it's always the citizens who suffer. I will never support any war because they will never tell us the full story and will leave out very important information. I believe Oct 7 was a long time coming but it still doesn't justify the actions on that day just like them being at war doesn't excuse war crimes on either side. I do believe Israel has the right to protect itself but I don't feel Israel's leader is going in with the right intentions of just defending. I feel it was allowed to happen for a reason and I feel it's his way of gaining something I just don't know what. (Similar to 9/11. We can't pretend our government didn't have a heads up beforehand. They just didn't stop it. What did it results in? Americans supporting a war the USA leaders wanted to begin with. It gave them the excuse they needed. Both sides were wrong. "Weapons of mass destruction" were the headlines.) Wars will never benefit the citizens in any country. Citizens don't want war. They want to live their lives in peace and get along. That doesn't benefit the leaders though. War crimes have always and will always happen and neither side is ever innocent of them.
