This weeks checkpoint is Sabrina. It will be another very short checkpoint. just walk to the next city to the north after defeating LT. Surge and then challenge Sabrina maybe only about 15 minutes of gameplay.
kanto is very fast because team rocket are already defeated so there isnt any side story until we have all 16 badges and we already have all HMs so I am thinking 2 gyms per week starting next week. what do you guys think?
Hot tip for Sabrina's puzzle. Only move from left to right or right to left on the teleportation pads and it will eventually lead you to her.
If you move from top to bottom or bottom to top at any point it will turn into a maze and you will be teleporting around in circles.
Surge's puzzle is completely random, once you find the first switch, the second will be in one of the trash cans directly surrounding it meaning you only have a 25% chance of being right. If you get it wrong, the first trash can switch resets to another random one. Its why so many people hate his puzzle.
Mark Smith what do you think about 2 gyms for next weeks checkpoint? I feel 1 gym goes by too fast in kanto because it takes less than 30 minutes between most gyms

I think 2 gyms is fine for Kanto. That's probably only about 30 to 40 mins. Lt. Surge to Sabrina will only take about 10 minutes this week lol.
TBH The way Henry plays switching Pokemon in and out of his team is the normal way to do a first play through.
I think the fact that the rest of us have already played HGSS several times means we probably go into any playthrough with a team and plan in mind before we even start.
As a kid I always thought Dragonite was enormous because of the lighthouse episode. I was so confused when it appeared in the first movie and it was regular size.
Looking back it was a VMAX for sure 🤣

I dont know what you are thinking Henry but scarlet and violet tcg only came out in march 2023 and obsidian flames only came out 10 months ago. you spoke with such confidence when you said 2 years and eric looked so confused haha

V-Star Universe is a guaranteed hit of atleast a regular V or better in every pack.
I opened a few boxes, IIRC you're guaranteed 1 alt art or Trainer (there arent any regular full art pokemon), 3 AR, 1 radiant, 1 SR textured energy, 3 V star and a bunch of regular V cards.
It also has a really cool reverse holo pattern.
