Such a great performance by these lovely ladies! That sweet lap Steele sound.... played marvelously my favorite slide Queen Megan! And Rebecca rockin a mean 6 string and that heavenly bluesy voice! That's the real deal...
My wife and I love these girls and they have so much fun performing I can't say enough about them. And they are very kind to old guys. Go see them when you can.
That was so awesome. The more I hear the more I like. One of the best bands this century. I’m going to enjoy growing old to this fantastic music. Such great voices and absolutely incredible guitar playing.
Hot and nasty players , both these girls are the real deal Holyfield , and they were kind enough when I saw them to meet everyone after the show to sign my cd fro me , been spinning their music ever since ! They are my new favorites along with The Marcus King Band ! Hope they come back to my town soon !
Just discovered Marcus King back in December. He's fabulous. The band's songs remind me of Tedeschi-Trucks/Allman Brothers. They are that good. Oh, yes...the Lovell sisters are wonderful.
They did 2 free shows at Brew Brothers. Friday and Saturday nights. I came to town to see them. They were also at the TEDx at the University of Nevada that day.
Have you seen them perform live? I saw them perform live about three weeks ago in Monterey. Wish they had played this song, but they did so many other great ones that I didn't notice. Megan came out into the audience and did an extended solo. It was absolutely fabulous! She is a very deep shade of stunning blue. It was one of the best live shows I've ever seen!
YES! I recorded this! I got so lucky. They were at Ted Talks in Reno that day and I went to it. Then I went to their show that night. It was free. I'd never seen them before but had heard a lot about them. I can't believe they were just in Monterey! These women get around and NON STOP. They are amazing and a lot of fun!
@@sierramoon That's very cool, ace! I would have loved to have seen them at a Ted Talk. Was thinking of driving to Reno to see them for this show, but didn't. Wish I had after seeing this. I met them after the show at the MJF. Talked to them a bit. They seemed to like my impressions of them as we talked. They are very cool people and really love their fans. They're young and they love what they do.
@@audiophileman7047 Where do you live? I live near Auburn. Long drive but I really wanted to see them and go to the Ted Talk. I spent the night there. They played two nights at Brew Brothers (small venue) and both shows were free!
@@sierramoon From where I live in Northern Cali, it takes about three hours to drive to Reno. Next time you see them perform, if you haven't already, see if they will sign something for you. I got them to sign a copy of their latest album Venom & Faith. They invited their fans to come see them after the show. Rebecca said, "Come see us. We don't bite too hard." She's funny. They're both very bright people too.
Megan isn't playing the Dobro here though... she's playing lapsteel for which a family friend helped her build an extension in the shape of a Dobro so she could play it standing up instead of having to play it sitting down
Oh, this is GREAT!!! Title = "Black Echo." Thank you for posting this. The more they play this song, the better it gets. Megan's lap steel is essentially a 'dobro' electrified for a rocking 'edge.' She tunes it like a dobro and had an attachment built to fit like a dobro when she plays it standing up. Love the performance and your video, as well. Is Megan's shirt inside out?
Thank you, Julie! I am a relatively new fan. I just learned about them about 6 months ago from friends who are major music lovers. They were also at TEDx in Reno that day. I posted a video from that and Rebecca does a bit of explaining about their music. Not the greatest video because people kept walking in front of me and I couldn't stand up or move up! Not the right venue, LOL. They are on a Blues Cruise right now with Sixthman company on Norwegian. Ever been on one of their cruises? I just got back from their Cayamo cruise which was fabulous. LOTS of collaborating between artists. LP was on Cayamo in 2010 or 11 I believe. Anyhow thanks again for the name of the song. It was a great small venue and so cool when Megan came up to me!!!!
@@sierramoon I watched your TEDx video - love "Mad as a Hatter," but it's just not the same without Rebecca on mandolin. I got to meet them in Lexington, back in December. They really are the nicest people I've ever met. I had them play tic tac toe on my guitar with sharps and flats, instead of X's and O's. I don't tell anybody who won, but the winner wrote "FAIR + SQUARE" and the other one wrote "BOO!" - so funny. If you have time, check out my playlist. It is "LARKIN POE ONLY." Got lots of old and obscure songs there, 2 songs that I posted from Lex, and I try to change it up pretty often. It's what I'm listening to.
Nice to see Megan go a bit wild, not unusual for Rebecca but Megan is usually so sedate. I live it that they wear ordinary clothes all the time and don't feel the need to 'glam up' that so many artists seem to think is essential. Both are beautiful women with no need for embellishment, they stand on their own and are outstanding. Rebecca seems so full of joy and mischief, I bet she is a hoot to be around.
I was hoping that eventually Megan would gyrate to the great blues players ways and do a crowd walk... Albert Collins, the late great Michael Ironman Burks,
Thank you Larkin Poe for all your good things you have done ❤❤❤
❤ I do not wanna go on without LOVE
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH❤❤❤
Megan did this at our first concert. She came right up to us and played for a long time like in this video. They have the greatest concerts.

The sisters compliment each other splendidly. Sibling spirit rules over sibling squabbles.🙏
Yeah I wish Anne and Nancy Wilson of Heart would make up!
One of their best songs by far.
Thanks for this. Megan's playing is awesome.
I knew she was going to come off the stage by something that was said so I was ready!
Megan is such a Star Star!
The one and only Megan "Slide Queen" Lovell...
😊Megan is so reservedly cool.
Nothing better than seeing these two jam! Megan let loose on that lucky crowd, wish I was there! Love you ladies. 🤘🏼🖤🖤
This version is fantastic. I like when the whole band lets it go and this is one of those times.
I was SO LUCKY to be there. Fun show!
My wife and I love these girls and they have so much fun performing I can't say enough about them. And they are very kind to old guys. Go see them when you can.
Funny. Yes, the person who just posted said that they are always smiling. And I said what you just said! They are always having fun.
I hope they come to Arizona soon. They are tremendous.
These ladies are awesome.🥰
Great band and 5:05 it's always good to have a spare pick in your backpocket, Rebecca!!!
Wow! There’s no words they are truly remarkable. When they both get in their zone no one can touch them. Love these sisters 🇨🇦❤️😘😘They are badass
They ARE badass!
YESSSSSS. Play that thing!!

Ow lucky crowd 😍💞
wow 🤩. Who in thier right mind gives this a thumbs down! Brilliant.
Right? Ridiculous
The Lovell sisters AND beer. Who could ask for more ?
I love Megan!
They jammed the HELL out of that one. AWESOME
Megan is the Slide Queen,You Ladies are way Awesome
I think even Duane Allman would dig Megan's Slide playing! 😎
Love this performance.
Larkinmania is spreading fast.
Those women are EVERYWHERE and they do not slow down!

Megan cracks me up with bit of her dorky ways.. I love them both.. Big fan..
LOL yeah she's a pretty cool dork!
words fail me. Too cool
The boys in the band enjoyed this one. Much smiling.
Megan doing a Jimi Hendrix. Love it!
The music is Awesome......video is Fabulous! Thank You!
I was in the right place at the right time! Thanks!
This close up shows the real artistry of Megan.
They were here in town, and I didn't know!!! Man, I hope they come back!

Wow so cool, just love you ladies. Please keep it up. Wish you could make it to Boots n Hearts up here in Ontario!
I was there for this! :)
great version of this song !! they have it DOWN!!!
Yes! I LUCKED out. I was ready. Something was said so I knew she was going to come off stage. WOOT WOOT!
She did the same in Paris and OMG Best moment ever. I really love this proximity
I knew from a comment that Rebecca made that Megan was going to come off stage so I made sure I was ready. It was awesome.

Hi my friends ! Thanx ! C'mon in France, chez Paulette !!!

Again, Megan being chil and too cool for school!

The larkin Poe M&G tickets go fast, check their tour dates. Don't worry about being a Star Struck Babbling Buffoon, they'll be kind, I know.
That was awesome! Audio faded in places but great performance!

Is this an original Larkin Poe song?
Yes !
