Talking about the glider slamming down on the leading edge reminds me of something I saw in SIV, a pilot coming down under reserve didn’t disable his wing and it tomahawked the water leading edge first, it blew out a hole probably 2-3 feet across in the top surface of his glider, literally sounded like a bomb going off. It was a light weight glider, but still that just shows how much air pressure is coming into the cell openings.
You didn’t mention keeping the fabric dry. If flying at the beach, you get salt water on it accidentally. Rinse all parts in fresh water. If caught in rain, or landing late when dew has formed. Dry the wing at home by unpacking it and draping it all over your living room, with the added benefit of pissing off your spouse 😂 The worst thing you could do to the fabric is to pack it wet and leave it that way. Mould will form and destroy the coating and porosity.
Just got mine back from inspection. So far I’ve only wrapped mine up on grass. I’m still waiting for decent weather to give those game changers a try.

What is the best way to fold a glider to send for inspection?

Can I take my wing to a laundromat? Washing it in one of those big ole washers?
