30:36 "We" Chris. The hell are you talking about, you weren't involved, you were passed out on a couch with Josh. You took no part in the prank, there's no "we" here
That might be left over from an earlier draft of the game when Chris WAS involved. I don’t know the details, but I know there’s beta footage or something that shows Chris in the room with the prank. There’s also the fan theory that Chris’s role in the prank was to keep Josh distracted, but that was debunked by the game’s creators and further shown to not be the case with this remake’s version of the prologue where it was shown with the pictures and graffiti on his face that he’s been passed out for a while.
The reply above me is right, Chris was originally in on the prank but they removed it. However they kept all Chris's dialogue that implies he's part of it
So... funny thing. If Josh's prank had been real, he might just have killed Chris. Firing a blank from a gun, right up against your face can do SERIOUS amounts of damage. *edit* Also so proud of the community for not spoiling the Josh thing!
@@jontyguha3504 That's the point I'm making. Josh didn't want to kill them, but one of the things he's planning on, driving Chris to shoot himself with a blank at point blank range instead of Ashley, would directly lead to at the minimum life altering facial injuries, and possibly death.
Josh said very beginning he wanna spend some quality time now I guess its some revenge time...but poor Sam and Chris they weren't part of the prank but Josh dragged them anyway into his psychotic game
10:15 Of course Josh liked Sam, I mean, who wouldn't? She's so lovely! 17:35 Eeeeeheheheheh... 30:58 Yes, they could have tried (gasp) communication, but then we wouldn't have a game :P I feel like most horror games/books/films could have been avoided if people would just communicate with each other. 46:00 I'm absolutely the same in games, got to check every nook & cranny for every clue & easter egg! 55:25 oh, I ADORE your moment of revelation, the look on your face! 1:02:05 Insert your own "the real horror is the inadequacies of the American healthcare system" joke :P
In regards to there being something between Josh and Sam, there's not like an ACTUAL relationship you can get before things start going down, but you can get their relationship bar like higher than that of the couples if you pick the right options when they're getting the hot water working. (At least in the OG, haven't seen if they've changed it).
Omg I love your investment in the story 😂 Even though you found a lot of clues and figured it out, your reaction was still incredible lol As much as I love this game, Josh focusing so much of his torture on Chris and Sam, when they weren't involved in the prank, is definitely a weak part of the narrative for me. It just doesn't make any sense. But still, it's a very intriguing mystery to solve and I'm so glad you've been having fun with it 😄
This remake sorta rectifies some of the focus on Sam, because Hannah’s new diary entry added in this remake mentions Sam might’ve been involved with the note that was left for her because the sketch of Hannah was drawn by Sam. Which, obviously Josh read that diary and drew the conclusion that Sam WAS involved more than she actually was. He doesn’t know what ACTUALLY happened - he was passed out, and everyone was probably trying to save face once Josh found out, so he couldn’t really trust any of them. Plus, in Josh’s mind, he never actually hurt Chris. He thought he was doing Chris a FAVOR by giving him and Ashley the push they needed to confess their feelings for each other. If nobody gets (physically) hurt, what’s the harm, right? Of course, he’s not thinking about the psychological damage his “prank” is doing. Now, the fact that he sends Jessica and Mike off, the two most guilty of the prank, with seemingly nothing planned for them is the part that does seem weak narratively. Maybe he’s just so angry at them that he doesn’t want to even look at them for a revenge prank? Or maybe he thought he could convince the others to help him out for a “grand finale” prank on the two of them when they returned from the guest cabin but that plan got derailed by certain events.
@@LJA116 I'm personally not a fan of the Remake making Sam look a tad more complicit in the prank, but my feelings aside, you're right her drawing being used for the letter probably makes her look like a participant to Josh. I have a feeling the group took her picture without telling Sam, but that not confirmed one way or the other. I can also see what you mean about making Chris and Ashley go through "something traumatic to send them into each other's arms" and seeing it as a "favor" to them considering Josh's mental state. But yeah, I've always wondered if other events didn't interfere, would he have had something planned for the others. I would think so, especially for Mike, Emily, & Jess, considering their huge roles in what happened to his sisters.
Honestly I always doubled it on "he was passed out and probably thought everyone he didn't see was in on it" in the original game. But considering Hannah's diary mentions Sam and her drawing in the remake, he probably automatically assumed Sam was in on it from the beginning, even if it could be a simple "Jess asked Sam to draw Hannah not knowing what she was using it for", Josh wouldn't have known that, because Josh was not present. He could've even assumed that Sam and Chris WERE there but were hiding in a place not caught on Matt's video, since I want to assume the footage he uses to taunt Ashley and Chris came from Matt or at least the recorder he used. Ultimately it's a case of him not being aware of the full story because he wasn't there to see it, and because he was mentally ill and off his meds, and possibly just couldn't pinpoint who was and wasn't in on it.
Btw you didn't get the message recorder clue because you didn't listen fully to the message where it shows josh talking at the end ! Which I think wouldve got you all the mystery man clue. But you still have done an amazing job so far
Your doing great lol. You play how you want to play so explore to your hearts content. I think that snowglobe you found is an easter egg. There was an Until Dawn VR game that was like a rollar coaster shooting gallery. (weird choice to use Until Dawn for it) So I think that snowglobe has the actual "ride" inside it. Which if I am right is pretty cool. I never played it, I just know about it as its one of the earliest VR title's. Only 4 hours left Until Dawn lol
It was always obvious that the masked man was Josh. The reveal is not even a reveal. The game gave it all away before. It isn't a twist at all. The og version of the game had many things implying to it and they even added more things or clues in the Remake to ruin the fun and mystery. It got more boring. They messed up the game mystery even more
You didn't played the original game did you? All of this is in the original, this happens if you can escape from the psycho with Sam, in which Ellen did, if you not, and I guess you did not, you never get those clues !!
The next episode is ALREADY up for Club Tropicana Patreons! (Emily's and Chris' fate!)
I appreciate your support

You understand this story so well!! You’re one of the first people I’ve seen be so invested love watching this playthrough
You're so delightfully perceptive!!!
That's why I love your reactions, you pick up A LOT effortlessly.
Ashley getting punched is still one of the most funny moments in the game.
You basically had the entire plot solved by episode 1 or 2.

I mean, if we're going to be pedantic most of them survive almost impossible falls with no big issues including Mike, Jess, Emily etc.
Josh didn't wanna kill them...he just did prank with everyone through his psychotic game to get revenge

Some people don't wanna see that until the end.
