This is the most amazing map, when you get a heavy thunderstorm the road actually floods then clears up after the rain. The attention to detail is second to none, like your deck chair in your garden disappears in the winter and returns in the spring even the chess set too, snowmen when it snows and gone again when the weather gets better. Can't imagine the amount of hours and hard work that went into this map. Will be making a donation to OxygenDavid as I would have willingly paid for a map such as this.
You can clear all the rubble from the sheds next to the chickens/horses by going into the construction menu and then delete it. Gives you lots of extra storage space.
The mulcher you chose has a better working width, but it is way slower than the slightly smaller one. So it takes you longer to finisch the field than using the faster one.
This was a pretty obvious choice, but normally thats why I keep things on metric. WorkingSpeed kmph* workwidth m * (1 km / 1000 m) * (100 hectares / 1 km^2) = Working Area hectares per hour, or more specifically WS * WW * 0.1. Very easy way to figure out how fast a piece of equipment can do a field when you know its size (Additional Field Info mod). Figuring out the acres per hour will definitely require a piece of paper and a calculator, lol.
I think the Speedmax is even better, since it is a lot easier to maneuver with it, even if it is slightly smaller. But yes, they are both better than the 6 meter mulcher.

Living in the US, I prefer playing American maps in farm sim, but Calmsden is a truly exceptional map. I am really enjoying playing the map, and watching your videos.

I'm playing mid and small equipment.

There is a collectible located at the house next to the main intersection; it is near the dumpster, but cannot be collected as the "Open Animal" dialogue (for the sheep pasture) appears. 2. I'm having a problem with removing junk. There is an area marked "Clear junk from Barns" but, according to the map, it is a fill point and not a trigger. Anyone else having this problem?
Not sure if you've figured it out yet, but to remove the junk from the sheds you have to go into the construction menu and "demolish" the blue generator trailer thing right where the trigger icon is. The good thing about removing it is that not only does it clear the sheds near the chickens it also empties the sheds at the cow farm, giving you more storage space there too.
The best time to roll is right after plowing/cultivating, so you can push smaller stones back down and then use the destoner to get rid of the rest. Just dump the stones on the side and use the telehandler to load them in a trailer and take them off to the rock crusher.
Great episodes. Have you thought about using GPS? It would actually help finish a field faster and it's a feature most farmers use nowadays, so it's nothing unusual for the game, so to speak.
In field number 3, the reason the worker stopped at the one particular spot was because the map creator left some items underground and the workers see it as an obstruction. Thanks to DJGOHAM for looking under the map. P.S. the items are a charger and tool box. 😂
Wow, I never noticed the (slightly) dynamic clouds like what were in the time-lapse in the rain. Also, I never paid attention to the sounds of the rain. Quite soothing and relaxing
A nice video again. As a difference, I drilled canola to F3 after plowing it, plowed F6 after harvesting (:)) and prepared it for maize silage for cows, I drilled F2 wheat. Let's see what will happen :)
I think your game looks better through your recording and on TH-cam than my game does on my own PC. I wish I could sort out the settings. Something is definitely not working properly. But alas, Calmsden looks beautiful. I'm happy for all of you Brits that you have this map. :)
Roller type mulchers have a faster working speed, so they are actually faster in the job despite being a bit narrower. Also, the red one can be attached in the front of the tractor the same time you have a subsoiler, disc harrow or other suitable width tool in the rear. Subsoiler brings up big rocks, whereas plough brings up only small ones. So after ploughing you can use a roller to get rid of the stones. Ploughing is still slower though. A good trick when rolling is to do it in a different direction from sowing. It leaves a similar pattern, but it does it in the direction you go.
in real life at least where i live, rollers are used to flatten the field and push the rocks down for crops that are short, that way the header of the combine can get low and not hit any rock or lumps of dirt.
you should get a stone picker. to pick all the stones up from your fields. then you should store the stones some where. so instead of selling every time the stone picker is full, you can sell much more each time. maybe in a dedicated trailer. or some place at the farm. in a corner or in a field, or in a barn. so that way you sell more than 10 thousand liters at a time. its just another way to bring in some money. so the oportunity dosent go to waste
I got to stone to lime production and am currently stone picking all the field on Calmsden, it is excruciating, but will have enough lime to last me the play through on this map.

One collectible Lay at rest at the water edge on the lake between field 30 ,32 ,33.head down the western side right by the water u find the cartridge near some wooden Structs supporting hint it on a island below the train tracks where u found quest of the emerald duck also I reckon u should get the winery on the series of haut beyleron as it only need the grapes too instead of making raisin and grape juice all the time make some wine u got the grapes for it get the winery production.
Rolling that whole field, much of it the rain and machinery looks clean. Bad, real bad. Need to Dirt mod asap. And ending up in TH-cam processing hell really isn't anything you can do. Usually only re-uploading seems to work.
If you use a plough you will only get small stones which you can role into the ground, when a sub spoiler and spader bring up the big stones which as you know require a stone picker.
You own the BGA mate, so make sure to get 600k silage in there per year, keeping it running 24x7. On easy this will net you $600k per year, nicely getting paid hourly. You can easily get this if you mow the fields in the forest.
Not sure if you are aware of this or not, I just found out by accident, but the fake straw and junk can be removed from where you are storing your bales. Go to the construction screen and click on the fake bales or the junk in the other bale shed by your house and it gives you the option to remove junk from sheds. Thought I would pass that tip on. Love your stream and I am loving this map, I'm also playing through it right now.
Yeah I always wondered why you'd sleep in until 0900 every morning on HB map (I can't spell that 🤣) I'm ALWAYS up at 0500, get things arranged best I can before sunlight, then let the chaos commence. I really like this map, it's massive for one thing. And yes, 3 day months is the very least, at least for the first 2 months so you can get your harvests and drilling in before the deadline. Out of you, Chainsaw and myself, Chainsaw did the smartest move and harvested the wheat field first, then the barley THEN baled up straw. I had the same problem with uploading dagger. I waited for an hour and it was still on 95%. It was just glitched and was frozen and had to restart my uploading but luckily, my videos only take about 10 minutes to upload! Love the video though! Keep up the great work!
Hi, you don't need to lift the rolls up when reversing it's actually really bad for the soil having just those two wheels holing all that weight on fresh worked soil. The only thing is if the rolls had paddles then you would have to lift the paddles.

there is something like winter wheat and spring wheat. Most of the time a farmer prefers winter because it yields more, but when it's impossible to sow you can have no other choice then to use spring wheat (or spring barley)

With the rolling it really depends on soil type(light and heavy) as well as the roughness with stones and such. The better the condition the faster you can go but it’s never really much more than 12-13kph but obviously FS amplifies the speeds to make it not quite as dull
The mulcher that is just a tiny bit smaller than this one is better, because you can drive it at I think 12 mph instead of 7. So although it is smaller, you finish the job quicker.
Good work, you don't seem to use Autodrive or GPS steering or any other mods for that matter, curious to your reasoning, I find them very useful during busy times...

the winter crops planted 2019 and erly 2020 were verry bad yield. we planted wheat in january here in yorkshire and it only did 1 tonne/acre and it should have done 5 tonne/acre on a good year
Thanks for your response, as this is what I thought as the whole growing season would have been out of wack. Cereal crops are very particular on "when" they must be sown for optimum yield (with everything being equal that is)
@@DancerOfClouds its not so much when they are sown that affects the yield. it does affect when they get ripe tho. the later they are planted the later they ripen and can some times be a problem if there is bad weather later in the summer. if the wether conditions are right after planting you can get as good of a yield from winter wheat planted in febuary as you can if it was planted in october. it needs dry warm soil to be planted in so a farmer would usually plough to bring up warmer dryer soil and not too much rain after untill it gets 2 to 3 inch high then it needs a few good hard frosts or snow. after that when it warms up it can grow just as well as erlier planted wheat
Hi Daggerwin if you think about sailing one or both of your diesel tanks on your farms you can make a lot of cash. I think each one sales for about 800 thousand each. Thinks about it.
At 29:25, there is a faint rainbow, as you drive off. You can just catch a glimpse as you're spinning the camera around closing the gate. I've not noticed one in other maps.
Great video Daggerwin I found in field 3 where the AI worker stopped harvesting if you go under the field there are some objects that you can't get rid of just a heads up
Daggerwin i think you can remove al the junk around the shed where you put the hay bales, you go in the build mode and demolish them, i think you even get a small amount of money for it.
Seen a few comments on here about rolling speed; rolling after the crop is grown, the slower the better but obviously there is being unproductively slow, I normally aim for 9kph (5.5mph) but I know a lot of farms round me roll at 10 or 11kph (6/7mph)

Personally don't mulch, it doesn't add much to yield and they are small for the big fields. Same reasons fieldstone is turned off. Oxy got me good too with field 3. Forgot harvest schedule for wheat and poof, all rotten. At least I got 30k liters off the headlands.
I got the map day 1 it came out...great map, many large fields and well laid out. now the 'but'. the farm house on the map should removable so an entire farm could be together instead of farm here, farm house over there. that I could deal with, but with no sale points for oat and grapes it made it a no go for me. an update fixes those things for sure Id be back on it immediately.

The best muncher is the blue one that you have in your other series. My reason is that it’s considerably faster. And only 0.2 meters shorter

In my experience you only get the rolling bonus, when it is done directly after drilling (before the first grow stage).

Fs needs to have a terrain mechanic when it rains there's mud and so on none the less still love playing and watching the game

I am happy that Giants have made using front end loaders better, the loads hold better to the forks. Can't wait to see what logging offers now.

yeah, silage is the easiest way to make real money in FS.

Dagger there is a sleep trigger at the back of the house so you don't have to speed up time

Daggerwin, the Realspeed mod is out and such a good mod helps me get things done not unrealistically but just a little faster helps

the leasing is fine considering how much you make, inflation in one area means also in others.

Rainbow is very visible just after 25 minutes and quite a few times for the next several minutes.

Personally don't mulch, it doesn't add much to yield and they are small for the big fields. Same reasons fieldstone is turned off. Oxy got me good too with field 3. Forgot harvest schedule for wheat and poof, all rotten. At least I got 30k liters off the headlands.

I got the map day 1 it came out...great map, many large fields and well laid out. now the 'but'. the farm house on the map should removable so an entire farm could be together instead of farm here, farm house over there. that I could deal with, but with no sale points for oat and grapes it made it a no go for me. an update fixes those things for sure Id be back on it immediately.

subsoiling brings up bigger rocks than ploughing. the plough brings up rocks you can role back down

Oh by the way Courseplay is also out and may be in beta but has helped me greatly on no mans land as i dont really like square fields
The red mulcher imho is the best one even though you lose 0.4M you gain in speed.
The blue one is just as fast but only 0,2m smaller.
