    If every person on earth would listen to a little Thrice, the world would be a better place.

    I think Disarmed is one of those tracks that doesn't get the love that it deserves. I thought this was one of the best tracks on Major/Minor, way underappreciated. The acoustic is great as all Thrice songs are done acoustically.

      Me thrice :P Always loved this track since the first time I heard it!
      Not underappreciated in our eyes though apparently! I feel like everything Dustin and/or Thrice touches is pure gold IMO!!!

    Thrice is still the shit. And Dustin was ALWAYS very spiritual/religious, since day one (even when they did 'Paper Tigers', which is probably still my favorite track to this day) . So it's not his beliefs that have changed his and/or their style... but the fact they've continued to grow & mature as a band overall. They started Thrice in /High School, so OF COURSE they're going to change as they all get older & mature. I don't necessarily listen to all the same stuff everyday that I did 15-20 years ago either (at least not as often)

    I saw Thrice for the first and only time a few years ago in Boston. They've hands-down been my biggest inspiration for creating and expressing myself through art. After that show, I got the chance to bother Dustin behind the venue as he was loading up to go home. I doubt he'd remember me, but I just getting that chance to speak to my idol and shake his hand and personally thank him for his gift to mankind changed my life for the better.
    I miss Thrice so much.

    Dustin I cried for the first time in four years when I saw your hiatus notice. For the five years I've had you my favourite band, you've released albums like chapters of my life, every year. I've grown up with you and you've grown up with me. It saddened me the most I never got to see you because I've never been able to afford to go to America.
    Please Thrice when you come back together (because how can you stay apart) come to Britain and I'll drive as far as I've got to.

    @ComeAllYouWeary Seeing comments like this makes me appreciate the fact that I live only a 30 minute drive away from my favorite bands (Thrice) home town and that I've been blessed to enjoy so many shows and met them all several times. This band has made and impact on me like you'd never believe. I hope you get to see them some day. Peace from California U.S.A

    Dustin has been a Christian from the beginning of Thrice. Many of his lyrics, including this one, reflect his beliefs.

    Can anyone give me the tab for this? This man inspired me to pick up acoustic guitar and I have been playing for a couple months. I have two Thrice covers down so far, Stare at the Sun and Under a Killing Moon both acoustic.

    I don't think you know what subtle means. He has always written honest music about things that are important to him; unless he starts preaching at any future potential Thrice shows you won't see much of a difference, besides natural progression.

    maybe if had gone to London on their FAREWELL TOUR you could have seen them without being a minge who 'can't afford to go to America' I saw them in both Glasgow and London on DIFFERENT occasions and I live in Northern IRELAND so if I got there you could have done too. Apathy doesnt deserve sympathy

    I know, but there is a difference between putting subtle references to biblical quotes on your lyrics and going on stage saying Jesus Christ is our saviour and we shall love him. The former is artistic while the latter is a borderline religious conversion attempt. So yeah, I don't think their music will ever be the same.

    • @illlivintv4213
      @illlivintv4213 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The latter is called praise and worship and has nothing to do with converting someone when you love and adore someone you sing about and to them

  • @exarhell
    @exarhell 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    As much as it bitters me, I don't think Thrice will ever be the same. I mean even if they get back together as a band, Dustin has already lost a part of his Thrice self in all that Mars Hill christian sect stuff. You know, running around playing pastor for a highly controversial religious group? I don't know. Something's gotta be off.

      EH, WRONG!!!

    Listen to what he's saying before the song here: QwWcpEKVzcI
    Preaching has nothing to do with art. At least not for me. I am a huge Thrice fan. I love their music. I just don't like Dustin's affiliation with Mars Hill. That's it. You don't have to be so defensive about it. I think Vheissu is filled with biblical references. This is not preaching, this is citing a set of ideas that are as old as civilization itself. But going out and talking explicitly about Jesus... It kind of ruins it for me.
