And, indeed, that's what it would take for me to know that something wasn't correctly done, as that's how much even way, way less I know about the subject. hey, glad you're expanding into glass, I am a soft glass and boro worker for over a decade < this is a alt account name for gaming > I also do jewelry. but, PLEASE MOVE YOUR LINES FROM OUT OF IN FRONT OF YOUR TORCH, you're only using a small flame not as much of a threat though stringer can fly off onto the lines, but you have your Gas lines directly in front of your torch, That is a Major safety issue < no fear or judgement we all start out how we do, but for SAFETY , Move those Lines ASAP. With that said I love all the videos you have been making and the stuff you make, so keep it up. just saw this video though and I do not normally comment & for your safety and household move the lines , Much love & Peace & Happy creating.

@@backtoearthcreations Yeah, no worries, have fun melting. you might want to use a cement backer board piece cut out in front of your station to protect the wall as well from any flying stuff.
I thought I was the only one spitting out a ton of issues, I haven’t started my glass blowing journey yet but I’ve worked around welding,cutting torches and I saw a lot of no-no’s

Three beads is a great idea, especially if one is larger (like a focal) and the other two are a matched pair. I always liked having a focal for a necklace and a matching pair for earrings. A five bead set is most ideal, if four of them are matching pairs/sizes since you could put a pair either side of the focal and a pair for earrings. Also great for bracelet making too!
Excellent video Von! I love how you make your stringer, I never did it that way but your way is very nice! I always just used pliers on one end to pull, so always ended up with a little funky end but just used those for frit or whatever later on. Your way the stringer is quite lovely and clean/consistent on both ends, excellent!

This was fantastic and the high tech "filter" for the camera is genius. What is a "stringer" used for? Ahh - to make it thinner to get different effects for bead making.

@@backtoearthcreations good I’m glad, no hate intended. I’m just a safety nut and I spotted some concerning stuff. I saw other comments and i noticed you acknowledged them. I hope you took some time to do a couple more safety checks on ur work bench. Thanks for all the good advice in the video!
