Nice breakdown of characters' fates. Good job. Personally, I was thinking about bots who didn't appear to die or were not confirmed to die in the Movie as simply living off-screen during the Season 3. Like, Cybertron is a big place and the setting became more centered on space, so they would be anywhere. Except, not confirmed, Huffer did actually die later. His was just quickly name-dropped and well…okay then ? No one knows who was in other graves in that mausoleum. But it was a genuine pleasure to see old bots in S3 like Warpath, Beachcomber, Seaspray and etc. Hooray for them Of course, it’s possible to explain it in-universe, but actually this whole thing is just a big headache to me. Some of these guys just show up one day out of nowhere and disappear into nowhere in the end. Some interesing guys just stopped existing and this is a shame. It is understandable when the story progresses and old characters get replaced with newer ones, but the cartoon pays little respect while “ retiring “ them. Actually, they get no respect I accept that you use an accumulated amount of content revolving around ( or after ) the Movie to track down the characters, but, storyboards / audio and the Movie itself is only legit source, after all. But your choice is okay. Each comic shows a different universe and continuity ( like the most extreme example is Lugnut particanting in battle ). But it is kinda nice to see all these things together and compare them ( although the Marvel version wasn’t here ) Thanks for your video !
Thanks. Yeah the truth is we don't know and likely never will. I didn't use the Marvel adaptation as it didn't really bring anything different to the table unlike the IDW version. I made sure I said "can" be confirmed dead and not to say that they are dead following the movie as we don't know.
@@teaandtoys As I figured out about Marvel, too, yeah Also, in compasion, Decepticons get a better deal out of their situation. Majority of members are seen ( for a few exceptions ) and fans know where they went. Shockwave was killed and other Combiner teams were fighting somewhere else apparently. Maybe because ‘Cons' have less characters. Probably, yes
@@Timeliner2004TFyes a strange one only Shockwave and Reflector are confirmed dead in the IDW adaptation (the former in storyboards aswell). With Thundercracker considered dead as per 'Starscreams Ghost' episode, by extension you could include Skywarp and the Insecticon in that even though in early S3 episode the Insecticon are everywhere and even some (Shrapnel) written into the script of 'Fight and Flee' 🤦🏻
@@teaandtoys In the case of these Insecticons, some of them may be explained as remnants from clone swarm ( until they are voiceless ). And about Fight Or Flee, maybe Soundwave get possessed by ghost of Shrapnel for a moment, heheh ( but, no, it’s just funny joke )
@@Timeliner2004TFyeah the Insecticons are another dilemma created post movie (heck they're all at the coronation scene and appear on junkion) I'm sure in one of the episodes but would need to check to be certain, that once the main Insecticons are defeated the clone fall and 'die' but I guess there is another argument that as their bodies were used to create Sweeps/Cyclonus that their remnant could be keeping any potential clones alive. even though there's no evidence (on screen) that clones were used during the attack on Autobot City.
The Australian comic was reprinted in one of the IDW "Best Of" issues that they did prior to them losing the license. I know because I ordered it specifically because it was in it.
Hasbro wanted all the 84 bots dead except jazz, bumblebee and cliffjumper Megatron was gonna get a upgrade regardless Statdcream, thundercracker, skywarp and shockwave.was suppised to die Skywarp, thundercracker andbthe insecticions was never meant to be reinformatted Cyclonus, scourge and the sweeps was suppised to come from.dead generics
