Whelen WPS-4004 Tornado Siren Test | Wail + Ambience | Ball State University, Muncie, IN | 2/12/21

Went up to Muncie for the first time in almost a year, to this newly installed 4004 in the Ball State system. Sometime last year they switched from 30 seconds of Alert to 30 seconds of wail, however today they went for a little more than a minute of wail. This siren replaced an SD-10 that was part of the county system at some point, but was disconnected sometime in the 2010s. it was taken down sometime between September and January.
Ball State University tests their sirens with the rest of Delaware County, every Friday at 11AM
This siren is located at Mitchell Early Childhood and Family Center in Muncie, Indiana.

I love how the firmware on this ESC-2030 is set to long sweep down to 500Hz on the final wind down when the cancel is applied. Not too many of them do that.
