I did some research, and this game was intended for release on the DREAMCAST, as a sequel to Princess Crown on the Sega Saturn. But no one wanted it, because apparently no one had taste.
For anyone that didn't know, there is a secret area in this first stage! In the area where you find the first bones of a dead adventurer, in the wall right in the middle of the room, you can break that wall and go inside for some extra shiny loot!
Roland looks kind of like Kars. Anyone else see it? In answer to Ogre, no gold cannot rust. It's resistant to oxidation, which along with its almost limitless ability to stretch and the ease to which it can be shaped led to its use in jewelry and art. A gold statue will retain its stability and value basically forever.
You'd think they'd have streamlined the shop/guild thing with multiple characters. Like, keep the system basically the same, but if Naka presses a button it switches everything over to Ogre so Ogre can have a turn selling/guilding and stuff. Instead of having to leave the area and come back. The characters can all still be treated separately, it just streamlines the process of playing together.
Gold itself cannot oxidize, or rust. *Pure* gold does turn brown, but it's a little different, I think... Gold-plating can wear away and sort of turn green on ya, because the gold is usually mixed with a few other things to get it to be gold-plating. My advise: never get gold-plated glasses or jewelery; Just looks bad after a while and I, personally, break out from the resulting green gunk if I keep it on for too long. >.>;;; Interesting loot system. Uuuuum, methinks a sum-up of what you did while looking at loot will be fine... if that's what you were descriptin' about in the description. :B ... Damn this game is gorgeous. I... I might be attracted to this game. Physically. :S
If it's turning green, it was either just brass to start with or the gold plating has worn off and there's brass under it. Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, looks a lot like gold and is often slipped in as gold plating by less reputable establishments. You're probably allergic to copper oxides.
Hopefully you guys remember to set your shortcuts for items if you haven't already, or talk about them? I don't know if you guys remembered them or know about them, as you can set those in the Equipment menu for your characters by pressing left/right on the dpad. Makes using items soooo much easier.
i'm curious do the enemies scale in power if you have less players (ie.. less players means easier enemies) or are they all the same strength no matter what
From seeing this and other people playing it, I get the impression that this game is 50% menu navigation, 40% rough-housing in town, and 10% actual combat.
Gold will "rust" (oxidize and fall apart) in a 1:3 mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acids (which is why you shouldn't go swimming in aqua regia in your gold armor).
Not sure if you noticed Naka, but in the description you put "but it's also a good potion" when it should be "portion". Just thought to let you know. :D
The music is strikingly similar to Baten Kaitos, at least to my ear. In particular, the music while talking to Samuel sounds a lot like the theme from Diadem.
I may just watch this for Dojimas voice haha One question though, is this the extent of Naka and Ogre's combat abilities? It usually isnt very fast with beat'em ups
While awesome, I got a feeling this game is gonna run LONG. Yknow I'm actually majorly okay with that too, this crap is amazeballs. I so want this game!
Now, the real question... Why not? It's probably a valence electron thing, like gold and oxygen's outer shells aren't very compatible, so no reaction. I don't know the numbers, so look 'em up yourselves, lazy bums.
Brandon Brown Actually, gold doesn't rust because rust is "iron-oxide". Gold, however, can oxidize. Oxidized gold looses it's luster and can be polished off with water and baking soda. Also, gold is a very soft metal. I wonder, what is the armor actually made of?
www(dot)merriam-webster(dot)com/dictionary/corrode "to slowly break apart and destroy (metal, an object, etc.) through a chemical process" That's what corrosion is.
ExplosionRadius Not if you take University chemistry. Corrosion is a chemical change in (usually) a metal. Rusting is the change from metallic Iron to Ionic Iron(III) plus a bit of oxygen. Corrosion of copper is the same, changing from metallic copper to an ionic form, with some other compounds. They are not actually destroyed. Dissolving is the process by which one compound, or element is broken down to base atoms/molecules/ions and absorbed in another substance, like water or oil, floating around between the atoms of the solvent.
Those runes in the background are taunting me... Keep in the menu stuff. I like to know what's going on so I don't get confused later on. Though if it goes on for a longer time I can understand you wanting to cut it a bit.
Aw, poop. I'm sure people have said this repeatedly, but in the room with the first set of bones, you could have smashed the wall in with the trashed portrait and got super money.

It was publishers that lacked taste.
pokechatter
That's what I meant.
This series is so awesome. Thank you both for doing a LP of it
It was also pretty neat attention to detail with Rannie that they took into note hes there so has health to look out for and own levels

*kills a harpy*
*watches it fall in slowmotion*
".. And Im gonna fuck that."
That slayed me! lmafo
Okay can I just say I really like that thief that's following you around?
"I got this! ... DONE~" How can you not adore his sing-songyness!
thank you so much for doing this series.
does any of the bones say death by snu-snu??

Description says "potion" as opposed to "portion". Really loving what I see, might have to pick this game up.

"guilding." What a verb. That is all.

Althenia? when did this become Lunar?

Well, it was only the intro dungeon. I wouldn't expect it to be long.
Gold will "rust" (oxidize and fall apart) in a 1:3 mixture of nitric and hydrochloric acids (which is why you shouldn't go swimming in aqua regia in your gold armor).
So... this game take place in the Lunar universe and all with the goddess Althena now?
Not sure if you noticed Naka, but in the description you put "but it's also a good potion" when it should be "portion". Just thought to let you know. :D
Naka, when you unlock online mode, i'd be honored to play along with you guys.
Does Rob Liefeld come to anyone else's mind when you see some of the profile images in the game?
No because these are all good drawings in addition to being physically impossible, thus giving the illusion of possibility.
The music is strikingly similar to Baten Kaitos, at least to my ear. In particular, the music while talking to Samuel sounds a lot like the theme from Diadem.
beating the crap out of each other at the start and/or end is certainly going to become a thing
I may just watch this for Dojimas voice haha
One question though, is this the extent of Naka and Ogre's combat abilities?
It usually isnt very fast with beat'em ups

Yknow I'm actually majorly okay with that too, this crap is amazeballs. I so want this game!
dang it naka, elemental power is one of my favourite abilities as the elf! oh well XD
To anyone curious:
No, gold does not rust.
Now, the real question... Why not? It's probably a valence electron thing, like gold and oxygen's outer shells aren't very compatible, so no reaction. I don't know the numbers, so look 'em up yourselves, lazy bums.

***** I think It's just gold-plated BRASS or something.
Tri-Edge sighting at 7:33! =O
Gold cannae rust. Only iron can rust. everything else Corrodes. Gold does not corrode.
Yes it does. Aqua regia dissolves it.

Aqua Regia DISSOLVES gold. It does not CORRODE it.

Gold can't tarnish or rust, but anything mixed with it (like copper) can. I suppose Ogre's armor could turn patina green on him.
That Dwarf is just a pile of muscle.... i am curious how he will fight XD
Idea on in menu stuff:
A. speed up + post comentary (Tricky and all)
or
B. Show before and after.
Those runes in the background are taunting me...
Keep in the menu stuff. I like to know what's going on so I don't get confused later on. Though if it goes on for a longer time I can understand you wanting to cut it a bit.
gold in fact can not rust or if it can it take a long time for it to
y u hurt Papi for Naka and Ogre?
No, gold doesn't rust, but it's a dumb idea to use it as armour, because it's a very weak metal.
+Digitalatom6 But it's a good paint for armour.
If the gold is magic it is fine to be used as armor cause magic
this is a sequel to odin sphere isn't it?
No, though it has the sameish art style. It's BASICALLY a sequel to Princess Crown, though.
It's made by the same company, so yeah it will look similar.
What about Borderlands series?
This game is that old? goddamn.
I dont get motion sick so i can just stare at it forever
As i´m sure you´v already been told gold does not rust, only iron rusts.HOWEVER is Ogre´s armor isnt realy gold, just gold painted then yes it will rust
The zubats are back aaaa no
Aw, poop. I'm sure people have said this repeatedly, but in the room with the first set of bones, you could have smashed the wall in with the trashed portrait and got super money.
I'm probably a little late, but no gold cannot rust.
gold does not rust... its probably answered by now
money is power...... HALEKULANI!!!!!
you should play monster hunter 3 ultimate
I doesn't need to be turn based to be an RPG IMO
Nice Yahtzee reference.
when ?
NakaXOgre is my OTP
hey naka, ogre
Personally, I don't like when you beat each other up. I think it's annoying. If anybody else agree with me, feel free to voice your concerns too.
"Stop having fun guys"
...that's not what I wanted to say. I think it's more my "don't hurt your friends" "OCD" kicking in and that's why I hate it.
...whatever
Wont watch it from here... they are making the game look bad, and i use to love to see this channel
nauth123 That much? Wow... :\
