What should be projected on the moon? For me a good image would be Earth so that everybody can see how beautiful Earth is and that we should take good care of it.
Kate Upton Emerging from the water ahould be the first thing we project. Wars would stop, people would be happier, Kate Upton gets elevated to goddess status.
@@belackjeffrey the radius of the moon is just 1,737 Kms. You only need to project it on one face. From side to side, it should be 3,400 Kms. Count how many Kms of highway do you have in the world and count how many lamps you have on every 50meters of highway. Connect each lamp to a switch, each switch being a pixel, and connect all switches to a video processor. Place the lamps on geostacionary moon orbits, correct projection position with the orbital speed and angle. Shouldn't be hard to do, just time consuming.
I'm also new to this and would love to try it out. As a long time artist on video games and a 3D artist, It could be so much fun telling stories in a new ways. You mention Isadora - what about the tracking of ie a wall/canvas? Can things be done in ie. After effects and be projected? What does Isadora provide? Thanks for sharing.
I think live tracking is possible in Isadora - I don't have much experience with that side yet. I make most of my stuff in after effects. Isadora is good for the actual mapping part, setting everything up so it looks correct on whatever you're projecting onto. I tend to find it's best to render everything separately then just project it onto things, mapping with Isadora but you can do a lot of things live as well. Check out their forums for more info on the possibilities
Ian's Network There are times when none of the moons surface is lit, you get a half moon, crescent moon etc there are also times when it’s completely dark, that’s when they would project on it.

Came to comment exactly that :)
Yeah that's a brilliant suggestion to be honest.

This is our every day experience
I would like to see explosion of the moon

I am a person who is interested in projection mapping. What should I learn to learn this?
blender
Wow, unreal!
That guy trippin' if he thinks there will be something powerful enough to throw light onto the moon in the next century.
if you think about having multiple projectors in space doesnt seem impossible
@@fontexstudiosyeah lighting up a surface 1/4 the size of the earth

I’m going to use this to make my own magical land and prank people lol bye.
NO image should be on the moon
I'm the last person to say something should be banned, believe me (we need _less_ laws), but projecting an image onto the moon should be banned.
I agree. Why would we want to soil the beauty of the moon.
For fun.
