Wow! Man, I really need to step up my TH-cam game. This was like watching a masterclass 👏 I am just now switching my computerized holiday light shows over to projection mapping and, after watching this video, I'll be diving into your content to learn what I don't know. Thanks for the help!
i am glad it helped. last year i was busy making VJing videos. now i am planning to make more videos on projection mapping. keep ur eyes on this channel.
Thank you you. Fantastic video. I thought you were a resolume fan but not mad mapper. I'm very confused as to what software to learn now. Too many options and costly. I do set design for theatre and have been incorporating projection mapping in my shows. So far I've used madmapper for 2 shows but not sure that's the best option for live performances.
Great question, i can recommend with my biased opinion. If you are “dancy vj” go for resolume. If you love rocking as a “sitting vj”.. madmapper is where u go!
please make watchout videos, i am going to organize an event in a cathedral, I have visited few light shows and have been fascinated to introduce those elements to my events. Hence why collecting information from now for the November show. one silly question though, If i want to cover the whole inside surface of the cathedral then one projector is enough? but need to use a good software like watch out? Also what are the good quality reasonably priced projectors are there in the market for big shows like in a big shows and events?
thanks for your comment. here's my ans 1. i am watchout certified, i could make videos on watchout but my channel got too much attached to resolume despite ei want or not. maybe another channel for that lol 2. no silly question, its an imp one u asked. can you cover the whole area with one projector or not the answer lies with two factors. the area dimension you want to project, and the power for your projector. 3 yes decent priced projectors are good for certain dimensions. you can achieve bigger projection by using multiple of them. join my vj watsapp group for such question answers, full of creative ppl ike u and me: chat.whatsapp.com/FgHZ1hveWSBAsymEiXfiM6
Thank you for the video! I’m an visual artist and have been practicing MadMapper for a few days, the demo version. But it’s not letting me to save the project. Do you know any other softwares which will allow me to save the project? Excluding TouchDesign? TouchDesign is too complex!
Thanks for ur comment. Haha true abt touchdesigner, its a bit complicated, i also feel same. No, i don’t have any free alternatives that can achieve result like madmapper. I could suggest you millumin/vioso/resolume arena, but all are paid. In contrast, madmapper has rental scope, you can rent it for a month. The price seems pretty reasonable. I myself use the rented license when i have a project that requires MM. @@ZunayedSabbirAhmed do you know where I could talk to someone to get an inquiry as to what kind of projector I’ll need for a show. I know the distance is pretty important but fairly new to this
thank you. english is not my first language. i learned it from local schools/universities in my country. please ignore if i sound un-english words. i can not apologize for not knowing a language.

Yes! I need to project an image over a hemisphere and don't know where to start.
Start learning a projection mapping software. Madmapper, milumin, vioso, resolume recommend as intermediate level work
thank you sooooo much ily
than you for being aweome!
Great video! I come from a vfx background. Is there a heavy demand for projection mapping?
@@GrafxPlug demand depends on where u are living, mate. Since u are from vfx background, i certify, this will be way easier for you!
