Great vid. Please do more of these
Didn’t even realize that it was Aaron at first. I still have a pic of you wearing a FSU shirt on campus.
Good dude.
Great stuff bro. We need more content like this. Die hards wanna get smarter at the game frfr. Thanks!
From a long time NFL fan who is new to college football I taught he was under pressure all day long, it was great having the game over here in my hometown, college ball is really exciting, Georgia Techs D line was very good, FSU where a massive disappointment, the fans where very confident in Dublin leading up to it, and very quiet last night in the city
@@swieri2003 they were shell shocked I'm sure, we expected to run all over GT and use DJs arm to stretch the field deep to keep GT honest, but the coaching staff seemed to forget about the stretching the field part and it cost us. The defense did the opposite, they continued to use our typical strategy we use against spread teams, but GT had no intention of throwing the ball and the staff never made the adjustment to load the box like they did against us.
College football more exciting than pro, watch some SEC games
We tried to tell y'all. Same ol Story against BC. He can't get into a track meet and win the game. He's not dynamic and can't throw a tight spiral
@@James-i2git’s 1:45 AM over here, I had to watch this out of curiosity, he looks very very average. What college was he in before FSU? And why did he move?
@@swieri2003 Clemson and Oregon State. Failed miserably at Clemson. Was average at OSU in a very less than average, defensively speaking, conference
I didn't think the game was on DJ, it was on Mike's play calling Adam Fuller and the play calling on Defense failure to commit to stopping the run by any means necessary trying to light box it all game long was detrimental and cost FSU the game Mike was too slow to realize Tech was loading the box and needed to call more passes especially more deep passes
Coache's know that DJ is not accurate down the field. This a performance where DJ had a high level of confidence. When he loses confindence he can't throw it in the ocean. As the pressure of a few losses mount you will see him miss 10 yard throws. It can be painful to watch - I did it for 2 years when he was at Clemson.
@@jgmullins1 yeah i feel like they are just now about to walk through the two year nightmare that we did. The first step is excusing terrible QB play. "HE isn't that bad," or "he wasn't the problem". Yep you are at step one. Step two is complaining that they do not let him just air it out. Step three is realizing why coaches who know more than you DONT let him air it out as he throws incompletions and interceptions like a kid playing pickup ball. Step 4 is coming to terms with the bust of a QB you have who looks SO good during practice but has the yips week in and week out in games. Step 5 is he moves on and you pick up the pieces while his dad complains about your program.
@@historianswag8517as an FSU fan, I'm starting to believe what your saying...I can absolutely see exactly that happening. You put it so gently, lol. But for now I'm gonna live in ignorance and hope for the best.... GO NOLES!
I agreed, FSU looked boring in all categories. Even as a Canes fan I can say that FSU is normally exciting to watch...not the case for this game. They needed to commit to stopping or limiting the run game and never did, plus the offense was extremely vanilla and never really tried anything to get a boost. The kicker hit a bomb tho at least that's a bright spot
Mike norvell is a terrible coach & play caller. DJ is on his 3rd school in 4 years, tells you enough about him.
Came across my feed and I said to myself, "Is that.. Aaron Murray?" Loved the breakdown Mr. Murray.
this was really nice. i would definitely watch future breakdowns of DJ Uiagalelei after each game if you decide to do that
kind of validates what i felt watching the game. overall he wasn't great, nor was he bad. he missed a few throws and reads, and made a couple nice throws late in the 4th on 4th downs. felt like Mike Norvell didn't open the offense up until the 4th quarter when it was do-or-die time, which i think has led to many scapegoating DJ as the reason FSU lost
kind of shocking to hear, but you're now the second one i've heard say it since yesterday's game: last year's oregon state had better offensive talent around DJ than this year's FSU team
hopefully DJ can learn from the game and continue growing into this system/offense. regardless, Norvell has some serious questions in regards to game planning, play calling, substitution packages, clock management/2-minute drives, high school recruiting/transfer portal, coaching staff retention, etc. that embarrassment of a loss to gt puts everything on the table now. is Norvell capable of making the correct and necessary decisions? i am much less confident today now than i was 36 hours ago
Did you have to subscribe to a service to get the all 22. I love watching film but all 22 is typically a charge especially for NFL. Great quick breakdown.
It's annoying because this is the camera angle I want to watch
He’ll never tell you bro
GREAT breakdown!
Cant wait to see this for Jackson Arnold, Nico and other highly anticipated qbs
Really good Aaron!! Thanks for the analysis 🎉
Aaron, I was at the Game. American, working in Ireland, and a VIP invite. Tech was the Home Team, so I was among the Georgia Tech supporters. Yup I touched the Heisman Trophy, they flew over with them, Shook the hand of Atlanta Mayor Dickens, and was among them when they won. They went Bananas. You would make a fantastic Coach. Your wisdom is beyond reproach. In the real World, it doesn't happen like that. The Game was Incredible. A Great Game. The Hype before was ''How bad FSU, was going to beat them''. 4/5 to 1 in favour of FSU supporters, but everybody attached to Georgia Tech University and their Football Program, including Ex NFL players, were there, they went to win it and they did. Dublin Mayor Geoghegan, predicted a Tech Victory, and got Hell for it, for two days, Their band did a mini pep rally at his house, and then a big one in a nearby 'Oscar Wilde'' park. At the Game, everyone was out of their comfort Zone. A Lot of pressure on young men. It was the luck of the draw, really, at the end. Your wisdom is beyond reproach, and thanks for upload.
Great breakdown. Looking forward to more of these!
Thanks for watching!
Feed me more. Love the breakdowns. Especially from someone who's been there done that.
Thanks for watching!
Love this kind of breakdown. More of these would be awesome.
More to come!
Outstanding! Please do one from the FSU vs BC game to see if there was improvements made.
There will be definite improvements on offense defense probably not which will be a huge issue again
Great breakdown, and no yelling or bashing. Refreshing watch.
Thank you!
I’m def a football nerd but love this content. Love to see u and t bob to both do one. Cause I’m still most impressed with whatever that gt online did.

Liked, subscribed. Thanks Aaron -- excellent analysis. Thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. Hope you're doing well! (PS Go Noles, but wow, your Dawgs are the standard these days!)
Thanks for the sub!
Thanks for this... added alot of clarity
I'll go ahead and subscribe in anticipation of you doing some sweet Nico break downs this year.
Plenty coming your way!
@@SnapsCFB_ that was a great break down looking forward to it!
Man this was awesome! You’ve got to do more of these!
More to come!
Finally a quality breakdown.
@snaps What are your thoughts on the receivers route running? I know DJU missed some throws.
Enjoyed this. In closing, DJ sux. Bench him and give Brock experience for next season.
😂 DJ is mid but the coaches did him no favors
@@teedotfoster thats true DJ is a bad qb but norvell is such an overrated mediocre coach
Great breakdown!!! You’ll be a coach within 24-months
Great stuff, on the play where DJ's throwing the ball to the RB in the flat on a blitz on fourth down, I had like a sort of multi part question, mostly surrounding the wide out on that side.
So it looks like what happens is his DB slips off him while the safety occupies him, he obliges by blocking him about 8-10 yards downfield, and that leaves the corner free to make the tackle on the RB. The throw might have been better, and the RB might have done a better job dealing with a single tackler (gotta make at least one guy miss), but is there any blame to be put on the wide out here? My understanding it that as soon as the QB releases the ball, all contact penalties on the outside are nullified, allowing wide receivers to block downfield. Was there a point there where you could see the wide out stopping up short (it wasn't a very long 4th down if I recall, 4th and 2 maybe), and helping block on the play, or even chipping his corner more? It seems like the receiver was just ignoring the corner, blocking downfield well past the first down marker, and the corner had free run to slam into the RB. Where maybe if he'd chipped or tried to block you're forcing the safety to recognize that and make the tackle, but from a few yards deeper giving the RB time to make the first down. These are things I saw a lot specifically from Miami receivers in 2016-2017 during the Richt era, and his teams did always seem to have WRs who emphasized blocking skills like this (recognition and the ability to hold a block without...well holding).
You don't have a clue about football just stop talking utter nonsense. Dj is awful he can't make basic throws where the defense isn't even tightly challenging them. The dude has career of being a bum. Norvell is showing he's a dumb head coach and never shoukd have started this guy. He needs to find actual pocket passers like Winston was back in. The day. I can't stand norvells offense. Alot of it seems chaotic.
Also you wrote so much with very little understanding of football it's scary focus on your meme degree spineless zoomer
I think I figured out DJUs problem. Look at his throwing mechanics, pinpointing the arm motion specifically! He has a heavy and slow release! It’s like he’s throwing warm up passes. I saw no zip to his passes UNTIL the 4th quarter, and that’s when he was zipping it to three different receivers to take them downfield.
i kept yelling look at his windup he has to fix that
3 schools in 4 years, he lacks talent & accuracy. Didn’t pass eye test @ Clemson and it showed Saturday.
Instant sub, love this content
Thank you!
I need more of this in my life, AJ!
Great stuff, Aaron. Really appreciated! Would really like for you to take a quick look at Oregon State last year. DJU was 8th in the country in Yards per Catch last year, and basically late Top 40 in Efficiency. But then he had a twitchy, smallish WR who could get separation, plus a great TE (Velling), and Coach Smith was asking him to go downfield continually. Same QB, completely different systems. I like last year's offense for DJU better, and certainly could use more decisiveness in this year's O. Not sure it's a great match between FSU/DJU.
No one points out that dj was practicing in a giant brace leading up to the game and then looked unbelievably slow. How did i figure this out and no one else has?
YES! Keep doing this and how do you get the All 22 tape?
Excellent breakdown. I dont put the blame on dj for the loss.
Great job 👏
Ohhhh I love this sort of content.
Are you hiding a massive forehead bald spot?
Go noles thanks for analyzing
I don't know why everyone thought this team would be the same as last year's team. They are different. Their best players are gone to the NFL, they have a mediocre quarterback, the fire's gone.
alot of the tv ppl said that but i knew it was gunna be different ive been a fsu guy since 04 and yea DJU is not even close to speed as JT but he can at least scramble out of the pocket and get the first, but we just have good enough guys on that defense that can be good in the ACC, idk about the country but the conference yes, the best? idk maybe but i didnt expect what happened saturday. i was worried about the WRs and many of my podcasts FSU said they were worried about WRs and LBs and it showed. i think the only ppl that said this team was better was alot of the TV ppl. but honestly now alot of them wont pick us to win and thats fine we gotta earn it. but even thou verse and fiske and lovett are gone we still have good enough players to make good plays and win alot of games. we arent kansas or something where a few good players bring the team back and then they leave for the draft and the team ends up being dogshit and cant win anything without those players. mike has gotten high school guys and alot of portal guys to have a team that can still win. yes it wont be flashy but still.
Hey man awesome video
Great stuff. As a Noles fan I agree they have weak talent at WR and TE. Their real talent is in the freshmen. I think it is time to play their freshmen WRs.
There is a reason he went from Clemson, Oregon now FSU.
Oregon State* don’t compare OSU to that landfill in Eugene.
A A ron keep um coming...Go Dawgs!
Interesting and informative to learn a bit about how a qb thinks. . Thanks.
Any time!
Nice job bro.
Thanks!
DJ isn’t the guy for FSU. This is a rebuilding year.
he never was. people need to stop making excuses for him hes just a bad qb
@@enclave9614how could do anything if the defense doesn’t get stops. FSU defense was getting bullied since the first quarter.
16:39 right corner WR... MAKE THAT THROW BC ITS DEFINITELY THERE
spoiler alert, as a Clemson fan, He is not.
Great job,Go NOLES 🔥🏈🏆
He's got to make that throw. RB was also open. 23:54
Toafili is the only one that’s been there since the beginning that has been the biggest contributor to the team. He has to take charge in the locker room. These new guys don’t have the testicular fortitude.
Douglas has been there as long as Toafili
@@briot1455 he hasn’t made the plays Lawrence has. He has the right to step up too though.
Yeah, it looks like he made a poor blocking adjustments. The problem is that he's a 6th year senior making these poor decisions. 22:37
I see no passion, no desire, no leadership, no competitive will to win. The complete opposite of Travis.
Cap. It more defensive issues for fsu than offensive
@@Callmejodye I do t disagree, but the whole team needs to badly want to win, to be winners. No one is going to hand it to them. They looked like they thought it was still a practice and not a game, lack of aggression, being fired up.
@@Mmmmchocolate but DJ is why the game was close. The issues I seen with DJ is speed and accuracy issues. But that defensive needed to stop that GT run badly. And Boston College has a mobile quarterback. So it could look the same as last week
@@Callmejodye don’t disagree. Still, mental attitude is very important. Travis got his team motivated, pushed them to be their best. Someone needs to lead on both sides of the ball, to drive them to want to get theirs. I don’t see his demeanor as conveying that attitude in the least. He looks half dead out there.
A good QB leads that seam route inside for a TD. 15:44
FSU and Warchant sold the OL/DL dominance and DJ's passing and running. Both were lies. We bought the hype and were shocked at how ineffective the team was against a prepared team. FSU is going to lose 4 more games. Back to the Cheez-its Bowl.
Also don’t forget it was Heavy ran! Which is why GT attacked with the run.
I think he just needs to work on protection and blitz identification and taking what is given if he can fix this he could have a good season he is obviously not a great Qb but can win you some games
Nole fan here I don’t think this game was on DJ the coaches didn’t give him the best opportunities during the game. The defense is were the problem is
Not gonna lie, DJ Uiagalele played a solid, consistent match that any 3.9 star quarterback who payed attention during three years of elite coaching and development would be proud of. Im confident that his size and ability to make a living completing ten foot passes will land him a 4th or 5th round draft on an NFL practice team with the option of stymieing his college coaches by actually developing into a quick decision making, good pass making quarterback in the pros. It has been tough going for the guy who was sensationally miscategorized as a blue chip player, and i think its unfair that everyone constantly expects 5 star game changing (positive) results from DJ. The real fault and criticism lies with formerly elite teams who built their offenses around an unvetted, non elite, glacially developing player.
@@_Yep_Yep_ I don't think anyone is expecting stardom type play from DJ at this point, we thought he was brought in specifically to bridge us a yr to our more talented future prospects we have on the roster, they should have enough seasoning by next yr to take the reigns. This yr he was brought in as a veteran who has played actual games that have mattered, to manage the games as planned to mostly run the ball and mix in the deep ball with his strong albeit maybe inaccurate arm, but the the thinking was he has a nice arm something JT didn't have so we should be able to stretch the field and keep ppl from doing exactly what GT did on Sat, load the box.
Stop making excuses for him, hes a bad qb on his 3rd team already and still has the same issues he had day 1. deer in the headlights out there. His best completion rate in a year was 62% for crying out loud
@@enclave9614lol
@@enclave9614 you clearly didn't watch the football game, you just looked at the stat line for an excuse to dive in on DJ the game plan clearly wasn't to try winning on DJs arm FSU coaches didn't adjust until it was too late
I always laugh when I hear a critical remark, like they could had done it better. He is young, a first start against a solid defense. I think he will get a lot better. How many times have we seen elite QB's miss passes or throw one not on the money? FSU QB position is not the one that needs a lot of improvement. With their fairly easy schedule, they will have a good record. They better be glad they are not in a conference like the SEC.
Yo is this Aaron Murray from UGA?
It is!
Aaron i met a cousin of yours from RI that just got married to the volleyball coach. I drove both of them to the airport after their honeymoon the other day. We were talking about sports and she told me she was your cousin
He should have been 10 of 10 , but RB dropped one that hit him right in the sweet spot . He missed 1 TD , but he didn't lose game. Defense got gashed all game long . D line had zero penetration. GT out played them and finished ....
Good ball. Maybe better placement and it's a TD. 29:39
Nice job, i wish the viewing experience was all 22 but also I legitimately thought the quarterbwck was a turd because i could not see the terrible catcher corps play
Not inly could he have led the outside vert inside for a TD, but he had.the backside dig open. 15:44
You also got the slot running a slant here. 8:21
I was hoping FSU got Cam Ward who is a better passer and better runner as well but they ended up with DJU. I free 6-7 wins this year
I’m a FSU fan. GT looks good. We look like crap. I hope GT wins a championship
Definitely should have throne the dagger. 15:14
Good stuff here 28:48
Can someone TDLR it for me? Was he good, bad, or meh?
bad as he always has been
You got two guys open here, possibly the third deep. 27:45
Yeah, DJ, as usual a couple of drives short of a big time q.b., is lacking, but the vaunted defensive line of FSU lacks more. Or at least against Tech, it did. So maybe Georgia Tech is really that good.??
I think the defensive game plan failed the DLine and they underestimated Techs Oline
This goes to show it was not all DJ
Congrats GT. It shows that all of fsu's transfers were "not" starters at the other schools and that norvell is an average coach.
The guy loses EVERYWHERE he goes. At a certain point, you have to ask yourself what the common denominator is.
A lot of these throws be should have made were to guys who are probably the fastest on the field and could have definitely ran away from guys after the catch.
Yeah TE shpuld have stayed outside that LBer here 3:02
He missed too many open opportunities
The OL trips on itself here or it might have worked 10:01
Sorry DjU is overhyped Dude was well orotected at Clemson terrible checkdown process Terrible decision process, any pressure at all hes deer in the headlites
yep, his best career completion rate is 62%. Dude is supossed to be a pocket qb but his accuracy is awful & he just cannot move at all
Another open dig by 6. 28:31
He had time if he waits tge motion dig is open in second window. 16:42
Rodriguez Thomas Hall Ronald Davis Eric
That dagger/post play is trash imo. Everything is deep and it’s congested. FSU receivers are about 2 steps slow to make that work work.
5:38 was a tipped ball
Overrated quarterback.
Jeer the spear
The offense has no leader someone has to be a leader dj ain't it he don't have the spirit to be a nole Travis knew he had skill and showed them anything for the win
From a Clemson fan HAHA
This loss wasn’t on Dj U he is a average Qb with good talent can be productive I think he is a qb that will get you 8 or 9 wins but not winning Acc with him
Yeah just throw it. 25:49
Unfortunately, DJ just hasn’t been good anywhere he’s been. He just doesn’t see the field.
The man doesn’t have the weapons he need or the calls from the coach
@@Callmejodye I understand that. However, this is his third team and the results are the same. He’s just not a good QB.
@@ericcomfort6228 the game was close because of him. Literally fsu defense slacked the whole game but they not getting the blame.
King was the better QB. DJU was not well protected but not confident either.
You said you were breaking down top QB's.. what did I miss. This guy sucked last year, and he still sucks
At OSU last year, he was 8th in the country in Yards per Catch. So maybe yesterday was on someone other than DJU?
@@epifunny1 couldn’t you be attributed to receivers?
@@jmiyagi12345yeah FSU lost pretty much all their talent last year
The stuff he sucked at can be fixed. Mostly getting the ball out faster & just being decisive.
@@teedotfoster I disagree, he's on his 3rd team and still has the same issues he had day 1: Panics, inaccurate, cannot move at all in the pocket, awkward throwing mechanics.
Let's be real the only reason this guy is still talked about is because he was a 5* coming out of HS
DJ is struggling yet again against and inferior team on paper at home this time. We told y'all, but I guess you just had to see it for yourself twice now.
