I knew Oud and fragrances in general were really big there but I wasn’t prepared for the amount of fragrance everywhere you turn. Rich intoxicating incense, woods and resins were burned or perfume sprayed everywhere. I can close my eyes and give it a whiff and I’m taken right back. It smells exactly like the shops. It is indeed a stout strength and hangs on for hours. I’m curious your thoughts on The Amir versus No1
Great video Jon. Glad you’ve enjoyed the Amir. The label art is great and I’m pretty sure it was the ultra talented Kaleb of Aylsworth Razors who did the labels for both Amir and Highlander.
This is based on Montale Black Aoud cologne. The strongest fragrance ever made. I got 2ml sample and mixed it with 100ml alcohol and it is still the strongest cologne I own by far. One spray of my mix will smell up entire house for a week. Needs to be mixed with at least a gallon of alcohol. Aoud and roses. I bet she used a sample to make 100lbs of soap.

The Amir is not a dupe it is a custom blend.

Do you often shaving against the grain?
Yes, I typically do unless I have irritation in an area, in which case I will just stick with a with the grain pass!
