I do not agree. It was put in the game for a reason, one of which was to suppress the enemy soldiers, provide covering support, and just remind players to play smarter by moving from cover to cover. In BF3, it was most effective because of the suppression penalty. BF1 has it as well, though not to the extreme, which BF3 had it but play it correctly, and you will be aiding your team win matches, especially in game modes like Breakthrough/Rush. So, in all, if it was not meant to be utilized, then it should not be placed in the game. Much like the Attack Chopper or Jets in BF3; get good at the game, and there'll always be a way to balance things out.
I get what you’re saying but this thing is a laser with unlimited ammo and a scope. I’ve got nothing against LMGs or suppression in general. You can see in the video how easy it was for me to pick people off at range
