There's this one Todd Bowles blitz that would be insane to see in Madden. Coach Bowles has Calijah Kancey and YaYa Diaby at linebacker positions . . . blitzing. He tried it the year before, but had Vita Vea blitzing. That didn't work; but, last year, when I saw him do this with Calijah and YaYa . . . that really worked. That ball came out of the Qb's hands . . . real quick!

Agree, that’s how physic based tackling should be. Where you hit, angle, moment, weight, etc should determine the success right. Gamers are used to landing hit sticks but M25 has added more realistic elements. I embrace that change.
Maaann...I've been a Madden critic for well over a decade but they FINALLY figured gameplay out if the beta is any indication. The warping and suction animations are seemingly all gone. The catching, running, interactions, and motion really looks fluid and finally current gen. I love the fact you can disguise coverages now and the pre-snap movement on defense is finally true to life and they don't look like robots or are sniffing each other's asses anymore in alignment. Many areas of the game need to take these same leaps next year (especially superstar mode, halftime, etc.).

As far as the physics, the player ratings, the tackling...now I'm an old school football fan, I love the running game, hardnosed smashmouth football. It's been years since we've had a Madden game where you could have Jerome Bettis, Eddie George, Earl Campbell, Derrick Henry, Peyton Hillis, Mike Alstott. So if those physics and things make big brushing backs a thing again, then I'm in. Madden running game for years has only been about speed. If you don't have a really fast RB, enjoy your 2.5 yards per carry.
I played the new madden beta and you can tell college football 25 definitely has madden stepping it up gameplay is definitely faster and more animations, defense is smarter and playbooks are true to their actual team play books and also certain QBs have there actual pre snap like in real life alot of details in this years game excited for this and CFB 25

Can’t tell you how many times I saw a CPU QB throw a pass out in the flat, especially in CFB, to some WR and they went full Walter Payton to the end zone or a low rating QB went Tom Brady in the clutch. Pissed me off to no end, so I put those games down. But both Madden and CFB 25 are looking like what I’ve been waiting for all along. I’m really excited for them.
Love the beta gameplay wise, the DBs are knocking the ball out of WR hands post catch, inplayed a snow game and it was a noticeable difference from 24, the game is definitely smoother, i love the addition of sliding just half the oline as well, this year gonna be 🔥 with ea college football and madden 25. I’m definitely not impressed. Changing your coverage shell is cool but I can see it messing up the alignment and giving up one play touchdowns. Dbs give up inside routes way too easy
I have the beta and it's definitely different, the braching between tackles are noticeable. Devin Singletary ran way different than CM. Pacheco does his angry run and it's accurate. Wouldn't say it's a drastic difference from 24 but it's very noticeable. The presentation is better for sure, gameplay is an upgrade overall.
CFB 25 had got me hooked again after not playing a football game for over a decade. Will Madden 25 allow character transfers from CFB 25 road to glory? Also, do you think it would be worth buying if my last madden was madden 11?
I’m playing the beta now and of course it has some glitches but this might be the best madden in years!! Also the new kickoff rules are crazy but I can say it’s gonna be a lot of returned kicks. Kickoff/kickoff return is gonna be a big part this year. Also QB mannerisms are in the game including Dak’s “HERE WE GO” and Jalen Hurts kinda crouched stance when he is in shotgun.
I honestly totally forgot about the new kickoff rules until playing the beta as well! Definitely strange having to get used to it but awesome to have the potential for a lot of good kick returns! The grass and turf look more realistic as well and the lighting looks hella better!
I have been enjoying the beta, I like the tackling and hit stick. The running is good also. The hit stick is def harder but if you land a good one it is nice. I hit stick a player on the sideline and dude flew like 10 yards out of bounds I have never seen that before it was cool.
My biggest gripe since M22 has been Ball-Carrier movement looking unrealistic. The way players sprinted looked bad imo. I'd love the ability to assign running styles to any player, kinda like passing styles. If you go to M21 Next Gen, lower the threshold to 0 and give that a whirl, you'll realize that game has pretty good movement from a user and visual standpoint.
It’s looking and sounding cool. But one thing I hate that they haven’t touched on in too many years is the weather system and time of day. I would love a real time, time of day and then the ability to speed it up for some more dynamic lighting throughout the game. The rain has always looked horrible. It needs redone. These may be nitpicks, but for the overall atmosphere of the game… I think it would help. Snow should build up overtime. Little details that would mean a lot for the overall picture. The game also needs global illumination via raytracing with at least one bounce. Again, for the overall realism and to make the overall look of these materials pop. I think the players look great, the fields look great. The textures could be redone for the stadiums. Obviously, the biggest grape of most people is the presentation. Which is completely flat and lacks any dynamic feel. As others have stated over too many years, NFL 2K did it better over a decade ago. There is no excuse for EA’s lack of work in this area. What I wouldn’t do for them to license both John Madden and Howard Cosells voices for AI use. Especially Howard Cosell. Along with classic players and classic teams/ stadiums. I’m sure there’s a ton of stuff presentation wise that so many people would love to see. Dynamic crowds, weather that starts sunny, clouds up and rains and then clears throughout a game would be incredible. same thing with snow or anything else. anything to add to the ambience. Make it feel like you are either on the field or a fan in a real stadium on game day. I would also love to see a player choosable camera for gameplay or simply watching a game. When I go to sleep many nights, I turn on a AI controlled game and watch it. you can’t really change the cameras significantly for those games. You also can’t change the brightness and contrast… Something that has been a gripe of mine for the past 15 years. It always resets back to whatever setting EA originally programmed. Which makes me wonder why the setting is even there in the first place. They also need to stop pulling the controller when you’re watching a game. Which causes the game when the controller automatically turns itself off. Which sucks, when you’re just trying to watch a game and not handle the controller. I know these are all personal gripes that have nothing to do with gameplay. More so with presentation but I think it’s an important part of any game. They really haven’t upgraded for way too many years. Just having real time global illumination via raytracing, would make a huge difference. Real time time passage and weather would also be a huge gain for realism. We will see. I’m really excited for both the college and NFL game this year. Can’t wait to dig into both of them.
I know you talked about the hit sticking but I did notice you can adjust the physics in the settings if you want to lean more towards ratings and attributes or if you want it more towards weight
The later part of this video got me really excited I really enjoy the authenticity. NBA2K it was how players wore their uniforms and then it was tattoos that made that character that person it was cool seeing a new tattoo on a player before you seen that tattoo on that player on TV or in live. If you went to a real game then I think recently they started adding walk up animation and things like that so 2K has been getting pretty authentic with each player. You can add those animations to your own player which makes it even cooler. Hearing that Madden is doing something similar is very cool especially a tattoos come in now. A lot of players and football are way too covered up to see tattoos, but still cool nonetheless . I tweet it last year to EA to add Jalen hurts stance either the option to select in your career mode. I hope they give us more flexibility to add players unique, stances, cadences, etc. I’m a cowboy fan so I would love Dax here we go, but Jalen hurts dance. It’s just so cool. I’ll say just make you look powerful and intimidating when you squat down like that to be a quarterback. I have a gift card that expires this month and I am extremely tempted to pre-order that $150 EA college in Madden bundle actually cheaper on Xbox with Game Pass because you get a EA play discount I believe.
I played the Madden 25 beta and it feels better. Wish Franchise was unlocked that’s all I care about. But love how the presentation looks. Wish I got to change the commentary. Forgot about the new kickoff rule easier to score kick return TDs and it’s easy for me at least to make the CPU fumble off kickoffs

Imo hit stick should be difficult to land. I actually thought 24 was pretty solid in that regard tho. As for cfb broken tackles, if you watch a lot of cfb on Saturdays, there are tons of broken tackles. I'll have to at least see some gameplay but I think broken tackles are way more prevalent in the college game, so that doesn't particularly bother me, as long as guys with elite tackle ratings don't whiff a bunch.
Franchise mode, can u see if they have added editing on attributes by commissioners. And it would show in transactions such as if a commissioner has edited a player giving him a plus one on speed, awareness. Adding the attribute edits will expose all the commissioners that are not being honest.

Madden need to add the ability to evade tackles as a QB in the pocket. For example when you play with a QB like Josh Allen you should be able to press the L1/LB button to push a defender off you and if you play with a smaller QB like Russ Or Kyler When you Press L1/LB you should be able to duck under defenders with the right timing
I’ve enjoyed the beta and I’m normally very hard on madden. The tackling is much better a lot less animation driven. Feels like they really went back to the physics of like the ignite engine but more polished

I spoke about College that way mainly in response to all the skepticism that they just reskinned Madden. I like what they did for Madden too, but it's still just a continuation of what we've been playing with more stuff added, College feels like something brand new cause it has a lot of differences from the NFL.
I just tried Madden 24 a month ago, and I noticed the penalties were never called in that game (even with everything 100). Has that been improved in 25 from what you played? I also noticed playing as a FS that unless I audibled to put me in a hook or playing man on a receiver, I never got any opportunities for an INT or even a defensive play. Has that been improved to involve more of the back from what you played?
My only question is will they allow QB tackle animations even when the QB isnt being touched. Or will we be able to get releases with the defense in the QB face. Thats my only issue with the game hopefully the Olines will be better. I dontbplay Mut i just play head to head on All Madden against the cpu
Also I feel like the presentation still needs to be tweaked alil. Let’s get more cinematic moments before the snap of the ball like let’s have the QB walk up to the center guard. Also they need to work on the replay angles also it still have the same animations. Let’s add the touchdown celebration where the player walks up to the camera and shakes it or even post infront of the cameraman.

It shows you which guys are not being accounted for by your blockers, which is something you would know in real life too. It doesn't tell you who is blitzing, it just shows who is not accounted for in the event that he were to blitz.
CFB just a different animal. 11 years gone, way more teams and playbooks, more pageantry, and I love the faster game speed as well as the features like Wear & Tear. Definitely overall more excited for CFB if I had to choose just one.
I hope they don't have dynamic difficulty adjustment in Madden 25. Also, in Madden 24, I found no matter the sliders I used for all-pro, it was an automatic win for me. And when I played on all-madden, no matter what sliders I used. It was an automatic loss for me. I still enjoy simming all my games in madden 24 franchise mode. But I hope I can get back to acctually playing the games in Madden 25.

We on madden 25 and they have still yet yo add something so simple that would seriously enhance the feel look and realism of the game and thats dynamic weather and realistic rain, snow games so there is mud and skid marks from players falling and instant dirt on uniforms. Just that alone would make this game feel and look and play so real smh. But with that said I dont think madden will sell as great this year I expect numbers to fall because of college football ppl are going to play college more than they play madden thats my prediction and I hope thats the case

These may be nitpicks, but for the overall atmosphere of the game… I think it would help. Snow should build up overtime.
Little details that would mean a lot for the overall picture. The game also needs global illumination via raytracing with at least one bounce. Again, for the overall realism and to make the overall look of these materials pop. I think the players look great, the fields look great. The textures could be redone for the stadiums.
Obviously, the biggest grape of most people is the presentation. Which is completely flat and lacks any dynamic feel. As others have stated over too many years, NFL 2K did it better over a decade ago. There is no excuse for EA’s lack of work in this area. What I wouldn’t do for them to license both John Madden and Howard Cosells voices for AI use. Especially Howard Cosell. Along with classic players and classic teams/ stadiums.
I’m sure there’s a ton of stuff presentation wise that so many people would love to see. Dynamic crowds, weather that starts sunny, clouds up and rains and then clears throughout a game would be incredible. same thing with snow or anything else. anything to add to the ambience. Make it feel like you are either on the field or a fan in a real stadium on game day. I would also love to see a player choosable camera for gameplay or simply watching a game. When I go to sleep many nights, I turn on a AI controlled game and watch it. you can’t really change the cameras significantly for those games. You also can’t change the brightness and contrast…
Something that has been a gripe of mine for the past 15 years. It always resets back to whatever setting EA originally programmed. Which makes me wonder why the setting is even there in the first place. They also need to stop pulling the controller when you’re watching a game. Which causes the game when the controller automatically turns itself off. Which sucks, when you’re just trying to watch a game and not handle the controller.
I know these are all personal gripes that have nothing to do with gameplay. More so with presentation but I think it’s an important part of any game. They really haven’t upgraded for way too many years. Just having real time global illumination via raytracing, would make a huge difference. Real time time passage and weather would also be a huge gain for realism.
We will see. I’m really excited for both the college and NFL game this year. Can’t wait to dig into both of them.

I know you talked about the hit sticking but I did notice you can adjust the physics in the settings if you want to lean more towards ratings and attributes or if you want it more towards weight
The later part of this video got me really excited I really enjoy the authenticity. NBA2K it was how players wore their uniforms and then it was tattoos that made that character that person it was cool seeing a new tattoo on a player before you seen that tattoo on that player on TV or in live. If you went to a real game then I think recently they started adding walk up animation and things like that so 2K has been getting pretty authentic with each player. You can add those animations to your own player which makes it even cooler.
Hearing that Madden is doing something similar is very cool especially a tattoos come in now. A lot of players and football are way too covered up to see tattoos, but still cool nonetheless . I tweet it last year to EA to add Jalen hurts stance either the option to select in your career mode. I hope they give us more flexibility to add players unique, stances, cadences, etc. I’m a cowboy fan so I would love Dax here we go, but Jalen hurts dance. It’s just so cool. I’ll say just make you look powerful and intimidating when you squat down like that to be a quarterback.

I played the Madden 25 beta and it feels better. Wish Franchise was unlocked that’s all I care about. But love how the presentation looks. Wish I got to change the commentary. Forgot about the new kickoff rule easier to score kick return TDs and it’s easy for me at least to make the CPU fumble off kickoffs

Imo hit stick should be difficult to land. I actually thought 24 was pretty solid in that regard tho. As for cfb broken tackles, if you watch a lot of cfb on Saturdays, there are tons of broken tackles. I'll have to at least see some gameplay but I think broken tackles are way more prevalent in the college game, so that doesn't particularly bother me, as long as guys with elite tackle ratings don't whiff a bunch.
Franchise mode, can u see if they have added editing on attributes by commissioners. And it would show in transactions such as if a commissioner has edited a player giving him a plus one on speed, awareness. Adding the attribute edits will expose all the commissioners that are not being honest.

Madden need to add the ability to evade tackles as a QB in the pocket. For example when you play with a QB like Josh Allen you should be able to press the L1/LB button to push a defender off you and if you play with a smaller QB like Russ Or Kyler When you Press L1/LB you should be able to duck under defenders with the right timing

I’ve enjoyed the beta and I’m normally very hard on madden. The tackling is much better a lot less animation driven. Feels like they really went back to the physics of like the ignite engine but more polished

I spoke about College that way mainly in response to all the skepticism that they just reskinned Madden. I like what they did for Madden too, but it's still just a continuation of what we've been playing with more stuff added, College feels like something brand new cause it has a lot of differences from the NFL.

I just tried Madden 24 a month ago, and I noticed the penalties were never called in that game (even with everything 100). Has that been improved in 25 from what you played? I also noticed playing as a FS that unless I audibled to put me in a hook or playing man on a receiver, I never got any opportunities for an INT or even a defensive play. Has that been improved to involve more of the back from what you played?

My only question is will they allow QB tackle animations even when the QB isnt being touched. Or will we be able to get releases with the defense in the QB face. They need a offensive “fall type” type of tackles . Every encounter is like they are fighting for more yards or don’t want to go down … I want to be able to almost “slide” like I conceded to the tackle like slot of nfl players do

It shows you which guys are not being accounted for by your blockers, which is something you would know in real life too. It doesn't tell you who is blitzing, it just shows who is not accounted for in the event that he were to blitz.

CFB just a different animal. 11 years gone, way more teams and playbooks, more pageantry, and I love the faster game speed as well as the features like Wear & Tear. Definitely overall more excited for CFB if I had to choose just one.

Why is there a Madden beta but no trailer?
I stopped using hit stick in 24. I play on all madden and they break the tackle 94% of the time. So I just use conservative tackle.
The pre play player movements on defense is way more realistic also. On the beta they mkve around.
I hope they don't have dynamic difficulty adjustment in Madden 25.
Also, in Madden 24, I found no matter the sliders I used for all-pro, it was an automatic win for me. And when I played on all-madden, no matter what sliders I used. It was an automatic loss for me.
I still enjoy simming all my games in madden 24 franchise mode. But I hope I can get back to acctually playing the games in Madden 25.

We on madden 25 and they have still yet yo add something so simple that would seriously enhance the feel look and realism of the game and thats dynamic weather and realistic rain, snow games so there is mud and skid marks from players falling and instant dirt on uniforms. Just that alone would make this game feel and look and play so real smh. But with that said I dont think madden will sell as great this year I expect numbers to fall because of college football ppl are going to play college more than they play madden thats my prediction and I hope thats the case

Eh. Just getting ncaa. I’ve bought madden the past 3-4ish years and I end up deleting it after I finish a year in franchise. Franchise doesn’t/hasn’t had much depth in it for me. It feels really empty. NCAA is going to be my thing this year. Such much more depth and content in dynasty vs franchise.
