my concern is "will EA/Madden call hold when the oline is holding the dline and linebackers passrushing?"
Beyond that, I'm kind of excited about them putting in plays they see teams using in the NFL. There's this one Todd Bowles blitz that would be insane to see in Madden.
Coach Bowles has Calijah Kancey and YaYa Diaby at linebacker positions . . . blitzing. He tried it the year before, but had Vita Vea blitzing. That didn't work; but, last year, when I saw him do this with Calijah and YaYa . . . that really worked. That ball came out of the Qb's hands . . . real quick!
Pre snap animations look great. Love the preplay movement and realism in the beta
Ive been playing every mode since June 14 it feels like Madden 09 and 12 with the movement Sharper redefined overall same Madden just new visual presentation and menu in my opinion graphics look better I guess hit sticks look better

your complaints about the hit stick being harder honestly sound like compliments. It should be difficult and have risk/reward. like the juking adjustments they've made. this honestly has me really excited
Playing the beta has me excited. The lighting and color look so much better than 24. The play call screen looks a little weird to me but could just be a beta thing.

Agree, that’s how physic based tackling should be. Where you hit, angle, moment, weight, etc should determine the success right. Gamers are used to landing hit sticks but M25 has added more realistic elements. I embrace that change.

Maaann...I've been a Madden critic for well over a decade but they FINALLY figured gameplay out if the beta is any indication. The warping and suction animations are seemingly all gone. The catching, running, interactions, and motion really looks fluid and finally current gen.
I love the fact you can disguise coverages now and the pre-snap movement on defense is finally true to life and they don't look like robots or are sniffing each other's asses anymore in alignment.
Many areas of the game need to take these same leaps next year (especially superstar mode, halftime, etc.).

I played the new madden beta and you can tell college football 25 definitely has madden stepping it up gameplay is definitely faster and more animations, defense is smarter and playbooks are true to their actual team play books and also certain QBs have there actual pre snap like in real life alot of details in this years game excited for this and CFB 25

Love the beta gameplay wise, the DBs are knocking the ball out of WR hands post catch, inplayed a snow game and it was a noticeable difference from 24, the game is definitely smoother, i love the addition of sliding just half the oline as well, this year gonna be 🔥 with ea college football and madden 25. Very excited this year no dought

I think the signature styles thing will make a massive difference in terms of how the gameplay looks if it’s actually implemented like they describe

I also noticed you can pump up the crowd again when controlling a DB
“In the games there were a lot of broken tackles.” And that, mate, is why I had stopped playing sports games back in 2011. Especially CFB and Madden. It was just never realistic enough for me. Can’t tell you how many times I saw a CPU QB throw a pass out in the flat, especially in CFB, to some WR and they went full Walter Payton to the end zone or a low rating QB went Tom Brady in the clutch. Pissed me off to no end, so I put those games down. But both Madden and CFB 25 are looking like what I’ve been waiting for all along. I’m really excited for them.
I know you talked about the hit sticking but I did notice you can adjust the physics in the settings if you want to lean more towards ratings and attributes or if you want it more towards weight
I’ve enjoyed the beta and I’m normally very hard on madden. The tackling is much better a lot less animation driven. Feels like they really went back to the physics of like the ignite engine but more polished
I’m not spending 140 on both games, just don’t have the cash. NCAA is the one I’ma go with. Honestly I’m done with Madden entirely but I fw Eric and miss hearing his voice sometimes lol

i played beta and preordered it and i can say tons of bugs but i did enjoy it and it is i think going to be one of the best maddens we have had in 10 years

As far as the physics, the player ratings, the tackling...now I'm an old school football fan, I love the running game, hardnosed smashmouth football. It's been years since we've had a Madden game where you could have Jerome Bettis, Eddie George, Earl Campbell, Derrick Henry, Peyton Hillis, Mike Alstott. So if those physics and things make big brushing backs a thing again, then I'm in. Madden running game for years has only been about speed. If you don't have a really fast RB, enjoy your 2.5 yards per carry.
I have been enjoying the beta, I like the tackling and hit stick. The running is good also. The hit stick is def harder but if you land a good one it is nice. I hit stick a player on the sideline and dude flew like 10 yards out of bounds I have never seen that before it was cool.

I have the beta and it's definitely different, the braching between tackles are noticeable. Devin Singletary ran way different than CM. Pacheco does his angry run and it's accurate. Wouldn't say it's a drastic difference from 24 but it's very noticeable. The presentation is better for sure, gameplay is an upgrade overall.
hey eric a big thing for me is celebrations and the "flow" of it, last year when you score your player moves like a robot and just the same animations, so how does it look ?

Anyone else get the beta? The QB Scramble is insane. Definitely going to need a spy. I was playing with the Eagles as Jalen hurts. He had 2 rushes for 50yds.
I got the beta on Thursday or Friday i forget what actual day and i have it until Sunday. Game play feels good but of course superstar mode is the most bare bone shit ive ever seen
I’m definitely not impressed. Changing your coverage shell is cool but I can see it messing up the alignment and giving up one play touchdowns. Dbs give up inside routes way too easy

I’m not the biggest madden fan but after playing the betta I can honestly say this game might be the best one they made in YEARS

I ran right up the middle with my Qb earlier I can’t remember the last time I did that

Are there going to be any more gameplay trailers or deep dives? Specifically an actual game, not just 4 second clips like the deep dive.
I played the Madden 25 beta and it feels better. Wish Franchise was unlocked that’s all I care about. But love how the presentation looks. Wish I got to change the commentary. Forgot about the new kickoff rule easier to score kick return TDs and it’s easy for me at least to make the CPU fumble off kickoffs
I've heard the presentation is largely the same. Caught a couple leaks and it does look pretty basic. You think it's better?
I’m playing the beta now and of course it has some glitches but this might be the best madden in years!! Also the new kickoff rules are crazy but I can say it’s gonna be a lot of returned kicks. Kickoff/kickoff return is gonna be a big part this year. Also QB mannerisms are in the game including Dak’s “HERE WE GO” and Jalen Hurts kinda crouched stance when he is in shotgun.
I honestly totally forgot about the new kickoff rules until playing the beta as well! Definitely strange having to get used to it but awesome to have the potential for a lot of good kick returns! The grass and turf look more realistic as well and the lighting looks hella better!

Also, Lamar Jackson's hand towel movement is what he does before the snap and the way he claps real fast when the play clock is running out.
i just hope we get the vibes of kick offs playoffs and better presentation i want to feel like im home or at game before the game start thats what i care for now

Revamp coverages. WRs got all the catching animations. DBs hardly got any pass deflecting animations. The most we get is the DB letting the receiver catch the ball and just a bump in the back

I played madden 25 early and ngl the hit stick in madden 25 will be totally different like u jus can’t flick up for hit stick u gotta actually time it and if u miss I’m getting 3-5+ yards
The later part of this video got me really excited I really enjoy the authenticity. NBA2K it was how players wore their uniforms and then it was tattoos that made that character that person it was cool seeing a new tattoo on a player before you seen that tattoo on that player on TV or in live. If you went to a real game then I think recently they started adding walk up animation and things like that so 2K has been getting pretty authentic with each player. You can add those animations to your own player which makes it even cooler.
Hearing that Madden is doing something similar is very cool especially a tattoos come in now. A lot of players and football are way too covered up to see tattoos, but still cool nonetheless . I tweet it last year to EA to add Jalen hurts stance either the option to select in your career mode. I hope they give us more flexibility to add players unique, stances, cadences, etc. I’m a cowboy fan so I would love Dax here we go, but Jalen hurts dance. It’s just so cool. I’ll say just make you look powerful and intimidating when you squat down like that to be a quarterback.

I just tried Madden 24 a month ago, and I noticed the penalties were never called in that game (even with everything 100). Has that been improved in 25 from what you played? I also noticed playing as a FS that unless I audibled to put me in a hook or playing man on a receiver, I never got any opportunities for an INT or even a defensive play. Has that been improved to involve more of the back from what you played?

In the deta the play call menu showing the plays are always messed up in the betas like the routes are all super skinny and stretched out where I can’t see the end but other than that I like it alot
Does college football also have the boom tech or is that only for madden?
Franchise mode, can u see if they have added editing on attributes by commissioners. And it would show in transactions such as if a commissioner has edited a player giving him a plus one on speed, awareness. Adding the attribute edits will expose all the commissioners that are not being honest.
When playing 24 does anyone else never hit stick because it never works? I don’t think I’ve ever tackled someone with a hit stick

Is there any information on whether or not we will be able to Port players from our NCAA dynasty to Madden this year? Same as we used to be able to do
You can’t port it over anymore due to them using college players likeness. Technically since the college players are not a part of the NFLPA it would be a legal issue..what’s even more annoying is we can’t even port players even when it’s a few years down the road and all the actual players are gone. Big L but I understand why EA did it.
They need a offensive “fall type” type of tackles . Every encounter is like they are fighting for more yards or don’t want to go down … I want to be able to almost “slide” like I conceded to the tackle like slot of nfl players do

I stopped using hit stick in 24. I play on all madden and they break the tackle 94% of the time. So I just use conservative tackle.

Imo hit stick should be difficult to land. I actually thought 24 was pretty solid in that regard tho. As for cfb broken tackles, if you watch a lot of cfb on Saturdays, there are tons of broken tackles. I'll have to at least see some gameplay but I think broken tackles are way more prevalent in the college game, so that doesn't particularly bother me, as long as guys with elite tackle ratings don't whiff a bunch.
My Christmas list for madden and ncaa football is to bring the halftime highlights of other games back that would be great!🙂

They need to make there throw motions more accurate for the QBs
What about hair tho are they properly showing hair in helmets or is my guy gonna have a hairstyle with dreads down to his neck but when I put a helmet on they disappear

Man Backbreaker was underrated asf, it was rag doll like but it was decent. Now they need to bring back Blitz, personally saying these companies can team up and really make good football game other than a Madden title
My biggest gripe since M22 has been Ball-Carrier movement looking unrealistic. The way players sprinted looked bad imo. I'd love the ability to assign running styles to any player, kinda like passing styles.
If you go to M21 Next Gen, lower the threshold to 0 and give that a whirl, you'll realize that game has pretty good movement from a user and visual standpoint.
This 100% the running styles and the way they look while running has been a very big issue for me as well
I liked M24 gameplay after they roomed it a little. Now it looks even better. I'm looking to have fun with both games this year.

Played the beta. The wheel route is no longer a hot route for the RB. The corner route is now a standard hot route. Gonna be corner routes all day IMO
