Fun fact: the Ms Ruby rhythm fight is MEANT to be in sync with the music but on the HD collection it shamefully isn't so it makes it even more difficult than it's supposed to be.
Ohhhh that makes so much more sense! I never got to play the Sly Franchise growing up so I went in blind. It was a terrific boss, but definitely caught me off guard. 😂
Man I have amazing memories of this series. My godfather gave my brother and me a ps2 with this game as one of the many games we got. And it was a game that brought us closer to my dad. We worked our way to Miz Ruby and I was the only one who figured out what to do and was why we kept going after my dad gave up. Then it happened on panda king, before we took turns taking a wack at the final chapter. Honestly cherished memories, all of the sly games.
Wow, what an awesome memory! Thank you for sharing. 🙂 I love hearing these stories, as I have many myself with my older cousin. Those were the days, something that'll forever be cherished as we get older. 🥲
The Sly Cooper series is one of my all time faves. I look forward to you hopefully continuing the games! Sly 2 is my all time fave out of the games so I'm super stoked! I hope you enjoy them as much as I always have!
A fantastic franchise! I'm glad I took the time to finally play it. I appreciate it man, can't wait to get through some other titles and finish the franchise off. 😄 I'll keep that in mind, must be good if it's your favourite! I'm sure I will, the first game was so much fun! Really felt like I was back in the PS2 era playing this. 😁
Ah, Sly Cooper. Gotta love that guy. I just finally platinumed Sly 3 a couple weeks ago. Took me way longer than was necessary but I did it. Before that I replayed Sly 2 for fun. And I really did have the time of my life. Playing games hadn't felt that FUN in too long. Instead they've kind of turned into a grind fest of sorts, so it was super nice to just kick back, relax and have fun with my favorite raccoon.
Oh awesome! I still need to play the other games. I love that feeling, always such a great time revisiting some of the older games we grew up with. They have such a charm to them! 😁🙏
@@MICHEALKARLIS The other two games in the trilogy especially are well worth your time! Sly 2 is pretty much a fan favorite. I hope you'll have a blast whenever you get around to playing them.
Great video man! Just the other day I started playing through the trilogy! im super excited to make a video on it, the Sly games really are super underrated!!
I appreciate it man, thank you! 🩵 Hell yeah! I'll be keeping an eye out for the video man, really fell in love with this franchise after playing the first game! 😄
I remember China being the most enjoyable location I explored through during my first playthrough of this game. You should try out the Jak and Daxter games next, considering you've already done Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper.
China was a brilliant map! I was bothered by the last two bottle placements though. 😂 Yes!! I've got it on the list, I'd love to revisit all of them together. Might have to plan that one soon! 😁
Good luck with getting platinum on all three games. I myself have platinumed the first two and I'm working on the third title. Though if you're going to platinum Thieves in time I hope you have at least two sixaxis controller just in case
Ooh mate, enjoying your Plat content! If you’re looking for an absolutely BRILLIANT PS3 game to work on, Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition will not steer you wrong.
Really appreciate it brother! 🩵 Honestly, I've never taken the time to look into Dragon Age, but I'll be down to try anything. I'll have to keep it in mind, thank you for the recommendation! 🥳
I've heard that! My close friend suggested for me to play 2, as it's the best in the series. I've got a big video planned in a few months, I might have to add it to the list. 😁
PS2 version or sanzarus remastered version? Sanzaru screwed up the synchronization of the music and Ms Ruby blast dodging making it harder than it originally was, which was still hard but the music helped give you a rhythm to better the timing of the dodging.
@@MICHEALKARLIS yeah it usually takes me atleast 30 minutes of attempts. Friend of mine recently gave me a trick to make it easier. Start smashing the crap out of the button she wants until the next button. Rinse and repeat still isnt the easiest fight.
If you want to play the others I'd see if you can do it on the ps2. Like you did with Futurama's achievements. The ps3 version has some bugs that, last I checked, haven't been ironed out in the later games. Loading screen crashes, and audio cutting out and requiring a restart in 2 and 3 being the big ones. Also, Ruby's boss fight is easier in the original. For some reason the ps3 version messed with the timing by a fraction of a second. Making the symbols slightly off beat.
I might consider that. Playing games through Retro Achievements, it's most certainly possible. I didn't have any bugs with the first game, but I haven't played the other two yet, so that might still happen. Thank you for the heads up! I have heard this! It was a great boss, but yep, I can definitely agree it wasn't so easy either haha. Thank you for checking out the video! 🙏
From memory, on the US PSN store you can purchase the Sly Collection digitally. For some reason, Europe (PAL) doesn't have it on the PSN store. So, unfortunately it has to be purchased in physical form.

you really should do the whole franchise, they're all amazing games!
I mostly certainly will now after this terrific game! I can't wait. I'm sure the other games in the franchise are just as good. 😁
Except 4
This is my favorite game series I played growing up. Especially the third one. Love Sly to death.
I can see why, it was so much fun! I really need to tackle the other games. I really enjoyed the first one. 😁

I've heard so many good things about Sly 2. I loved the first game, so I'll be super keen to get to it this year if I can. 😁
