Very cool video and thoughts. I agree finding a spot that one can return to over and over again can be very interesting and educational. Different times, seasons, weather, day/night, lighting… Each unique. I really like that gas station. I’m not sure why, but I’ve noticed that photographers have always had a strong attraction to the decrepit, the abandoned, the falling down, and the withering/weathering away. That sign there is amazing. Every time you showed it in this video, I read it as “Wax Car Pets.” I’m not sure any kind of pets, not even car pets, would enjoy a waxing. Stay cool and dry!
I really enjoyed this video. I need to do more of this, spend more time at a location that I find instead of just walking around once and taking a few photos. I also like the idea of revisiting at different times of day or year. Thank you for the tips and I appreciate the channel.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words- and yes it sometimes feels repetitive to go to the same place but I find I get better and better at photographing something over and over. It’s a good way to learn about your subject
I’ve been taking pictures of my neighborhood on walks with the dog the past couple of years and although it’s the same 1/4 mile, I always seem to find a new shot, angle, or light that makes me want to press the shutter.
I enjoyed this, and the rain through the car window worked
