    I always hear empire say "get out of here", "you're gone", but honestly this is the 1st time I hear an umpire say "get the fuck out of here" damn 😂

    0:00 Incorrect call. Pitch was 1.24 inches down and borderline on the outside corner.
    0:51 Incorrect call, in my opinion. Check swings are always tough. Excellent situation handling after the call with Maddon, giving him every chance to stay if he wanted to.
    1:33 Correct call. About 2/3 inch of ball had the zone.
    3:12 Correct call. He watched the ball, then tried to head it like a soccer ball. This is clearly intentional interference with a thrown ball that, while funny, is still illegal.
    4:35 Incorrect call, in my opinion. To me, this is even tougher than the earlier call. Forced to make a decision, I'd say swing.
    5:25 Incorrect call. Half the ball was in the zone. The situation handling here is excellent. Getting to hear it is the biggest benefit of not having fans in the stadium.
    6:54 Borderline call. Frankly could go either way. It was within 1/2 an inch.
    7:06 Correct call. The call leading to the ejection was correct. The first two calls in the clip were not.
    8:34 Correct call. Clear swing.
    9:26 Borderline call. 1/8 inch of ball had zone, well within margin of error.
    10:04 Correct call. Shoemaker got a TON of chances to stay in the game.
    11:15 Correct call.
    12:18 Correct call. The ball got stuck in the base of the wall. It couldn't possibly have stopped on a dime otherwise.
    13:46 Incorrect call. Pitch was down.
    14:02 Correct call. Votto had a bad night and took it out on the umpire.

      @@soccerndog3785 Are you talking about the first clip in this video where Maddon gets ejected? That game?
      Edit: There are multiple Angels' games in this video. It's not the game from the first video because the umpire got 121/126 calls correct for 96.03%. He only missed two pitches by more than an inch, one by 1.31 inches the other by 1.77 inches.

      good question, ive always wondered if they go work out or sit in the locker room? But then ive heard of instances where players have intentionally got themselves thrown out because they had somewhere else theyd rather be, so i dont know. If i was in charge of the organisation i would probably make a rule that the players were to stay at the stadium when thrown out thereby eliminating doubt.

  • @paulcoffland8673
    @paulcoffland8673 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’d rather break bread with ISIS than an MLB umpire. To show how little credibility MLB has, they made Angel Hernandez a crew chief this year. Think about that: they made the person who is easily one of the two worst umpires in the league (Mike Easterbrook is right there with him) a crew chief. Not since Bob Davidson retired has there been an ump clearly worse than him. No ethics in baseball.

    From what I've seen the umpires need to be re schooled a lot of these pitches are not strikes they're calling strikes...

    • @billrobelen4948
      @billrobelen4948 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look at Close Call Sports channel. They show each ejection right after it occurs. They also usually but up MLB's own pitch data released after the games. In almost all of these cases the disputed pitches were either strikes, or were within the margin of error for the tracking equipment. The box on screen is very rarely accurate. They use one box for all batters, even though the height of the strike zone is different for each batter.

      The days of umpires calling balls and strikes are coming to an end. About times as these officials have HUGE egos, many of which are bigger than the players.
