That is a fantastic idea! I just finished the build of my camper shell (just posted the video the other day) and I opted for going with an external, all-in-one diesel heater because of the ticking. I like what you did with your install, especially the air intake/exhaust. I think I might eventually take it apart and do a permanent interior install, mounted sideways as you mentioned.
Excellent! Mine is minimal for sound, but this would make it that much better. I like all the cabinets you have in there, I haven’t got that far yet! Maybe this spring
I found a few things with mine, if I leave it off for a few days you have to refill the line from gravity drop. Moved the pump closer to the heater fixed that. Then I upgraded my pump to the $25 pump with the built in filter, well worth the money. Not having the option of moving the pump, the new pump solved the tick, tick, tick.
Nice! I'd estimate less than 5' of hose between my pump and heater. Maybe I'll look into that pump too. You've also just reminded me that I forgot to add the filter...
Plastic wrap and spray foam sound like a great idea! I'd certainly like to know the results of that one. As for the case, there's a touch of "cool factor" added to my pump storage with a perfectly sized case that was for a pistol that's long gone. 😞 Thanks for watching!

I had the old one in that location for two years. You're right; is nowhere near brittle plastic, but it's most certainly degraded and discoloured. When the weather warms, I think I'll paint this one to block the uv.

A very nice job!
Thanks for all of the info on solving the noise on the fuel pump!
Glad to help. Thanks for being here.

Wow, thanks!
Nice finish 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Subbed. As soon as my heater arrives, I will be doing an install vid. I really like your camper!!!
Thank you. I quite enjoy it.
I'd like to see yours when you're done!
Available now is a silicon fuel pump cover that makes the pump click almost inaudible, quieter than the blower.
Very cool! Never heard of it. Where'd you see that, on Amazon?
@@theknightcrossing yup, on Amazon, about $10.00, bon't buy the plastic ones.
Pray, please tell ..

I still have little things to tend to, but it's getting there.

Looks great 👍placement really gut 😀
Thanks 👍
Nice job
Thanks. I really enjoy it.
I did the exact same thing and it's silent 👍
I did an overnight trip a few days ago. I heard it while in bed, but I had to really listen for it. This is a huge success.
😂😂You sacrifice your sig case. I plan to do the same, but wrap the pump in plastic wrap than spray insulation foam. Nice video. Thanks
