Been at herald, not that far from the now, but I can tell you that the conventional wisdom when it comes to Dota goes straight out the window... And it is pure chaos and mayhem and randomness. But couldn't agree more with people commenting here already that this is the absolute best Dota content available...
Dude in low mmr, if u not lose lane to OD and stop him from snowballing potential, it’s a job well done. The mangoes saved him from od ult too. It’s next level stuff.
I like how oracle is being positively rewarded for this, so next game he’s gonna be like “ah he’s becoming morbidly obese from eating mangoes is a winning strategy”
OK so I ran into an Ogre Magi Pos4 in Turbo that did exactly this. It was one of the most oppressive lanes I've fought in a while. He always had mana and spammed his skills nonstop.
I remember in a previous patch I’d start with three Mangoes on Ogre Magi. I think Mangoes gave more HP regen back then, on top of Ogre’s natural tankiness
Mango build early (6 minimum) on heroes with high hp regeneration that also need mana to be effective like Ogre and Nyx is a pretty legit strategy, done it many times. They are also not good clarity users cause they are melee and want to be on the face of the enemy carry.
@@vitorluiz7538 mangoes are better, most of the time later when you have to get mana fast. you can only use 1 clarity at a time, and it is super slow. Spamming clarities during early game farming is obviously super good, though. don't want to go back to fountain, and miss cs
@@rastafari2k3 and Clarities are better when you need more mana for less gold and don’t mind gaining it slowly. Sometimes the game turns into a siege against high ground, and you can take your time with Clarities because the teams aren’t really fighting. (I’ll add that I’m also the psycho who keeps Shovel in my inventory at 50 minutes, so in the occasions I do need a Mango I usually have nine of them I’ve dug for free in the past 30 minutes.)
Just wanted to share, I played Timbersaw Offlane at 4.5k mmr around 2020. And my build was nothing but mangos. I didnt build reactive armor at all, instead I maxed Q and W and went full offensive. And it worked 80% of the time. It was especially effective against AM. Poor boy couldn't breathe without almost getting killed. But it was SEA server so i got alot of shit early game, but after i destroy the opposing offlane, my team calms down abit. I was listening to music in the background as I watched this video, and I have to say Foggy Mountain Breakdown was the perfect pairing for watching that absolutely ridiculous mid lane

No one was hurt as badly by the mango tree removal as this Oracle
he must be cry for a day because of it
It traumatized him
Ice frog froze his heart and tore out a part of his soul with that patch
Oww man i rmb mango tree, was a cool item
Fr tho, mango tree was fun
The stock price of mangoes are at an all time high thanks to this dude.
Mango industry skyrocketing
Feels like Ice frog needs to reduce the cost kd mango. So much demand
Mango to the moon!
Many people are saying this
Ever since mango trees were suddenyl cut off the supply can't keep with demand
The zoom in every time he uses a mango is perfect.

Love it when a new herald review comes, the best dota 2 content as entertainment.
2600 gold spent on mangoes before 10 mins, could actually buy midas and boots in that timeframe and not even be griefing as hard lol
He bought 22 mangos, not 40, that's 1,430 gold.
I’ve played with spursfan when I was herald, he did some very tilting stuff.
Okay but would you have like infinite mana, no, therefore mangoes were the best use of money.

Dear Oracle,
next time just start with 3 Sage's Masks. You can even turn them into Urn, Veil and Medaillion later on.

I wouldn start 5 mangos when they didn't stack on ogre
I always buy 2 sage mask to basilus, as cm, works everytime, sounds bad but it works...

You pick mango
You tell your team you are going to mango
The entire team shares limited consumables now to stop monsters like this, he was ahead of his time.

9 Mangos: 6.3 regen, 585g cost, and allow for desperate mana gains
