I fractured my right hip and wrist. After 5 months I'm transferring from a walker to a quad cane. Your demonstration and explanation is the best. As a senior I really appreciate it. Thank you so much.👍
Just received my quad cane and I'm eager to begin getting around. Please let me know how I can change the position of the foot because MY RIGHT LEFT is the weakest and I need to use the cane with my left hand. Thanks you very much for your prompt response. Pearl
Good question @pearlie9851. If you are using an aluminum quad cane which is the most common, there is a ball bearing coming through the hole in the middle section of the quad cane. Loosen the knob near the base of the quad cane. Then press the ball in and turn the foot around. There should be another ball bearing that will pop out once the foot is facing the other side. Tighten the know again. You can now use this on the other side. I hope this helps.
Good question Kevin. You can watch my video on how to get up from the floor after knee replacement. I think that will give you a good idea. Hope this helps.
I know what you mean @jttitus-zg7mf. Turn the feet of the quad cane to the other side. That will solve the problem. I will make a note to create a video showing this.

How do you get yourself up from the ground with the quad cane if you fall on the floor

If I keep the feet of the cane close to my side, I end up tripping on one as it is in the way when walking
