This is my dream setup with some shiny bbs wheels like biz had, that blue is my favourite close to the slick black, really makes these things pop. Thanks for sharing👍

Awesome build, too bad about the transmission problems! My dad had a 1992 Mazda MPV and I loved it.

    Peace bro….
Had my 94 back in the day and ran all over the city snow, sleet and rain.
Your video brought mad nostalgia. I’m on the hunt for another one. Please shoot me a message if you have any leads.

What you use to lower the mpv, cut coils? Coilovers?

    • @OSACC
      @OSACC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Back then I just cut the springs about an inch. I can't really remember, but knowing me being so inpatient either I couldn't find aftermarket lowered springs to fit it or it was over my budget for the month.

I seen someone use 95ish eclipse springs and got like 3 inches

Hey bro, thanks for reaching out. Cool that you found one for sale, they are very hard to find it seems like the people that have them don't wanna sell them. At any rate to answer your question fam, it really depends what's your main reason for buying any vehicle that's over ten years old. The first thing you should know is how many owners had the joint before you, that will key you in on what you'll have to do to maintain it. The best way to do that is to get a carfax which usually gives you the full history of pretty much any vehicle dating back to at least 1986. There's another brand similar to carfax an just almost just as good but they're less on the price...hopefully you can get this link: 3e0dafh7su5obw9mxlpofc6yfw.hop.clickbank.net
I created a checklist for buying used joints that I'm collecting to either keep or sell once I'm done customizing them.
      Pop the hood:
-Check the Oil -Best: Tea Colored.
No Good: chocolate shake colored and texture.
-Check the Coolant -Best: Clear Red, Purple or Green
      No Good: Black or Oily
-Check the Brake Fluid -Best: Clear, slightly Yellowish
      Ok: Tea Colored
      No Good: Strong Coffee Colored
-Check the Belts and Hoses: make sure their free of cracks
On your test drive, take it on the highway and don't be gentle. Accelarate hard, corner it sharp, and brake quickly. Make sure it's not shaking at high speed...That could signal a bad alignment, control arms, bushings, tie rods. If the pedal feels spongy while braking hard, that could mean it needs bleeding. If it's stiff and unyielding, it might be a bad brake booster. If the pedal shudders beneath your foot, it could need new rotors. If it's an automatic and it joins into gear when you accelerate evenly, the transmission is probably bad...that's the problem I had, and I've heard that's a big problem with those. If you happen to have or know a shop that is praised for actually fixing transmissions and not having any problems take it to them, if you don't leave that thing where you parked it.
The few questions you should ask to the seller:
When was the timing belt changed, if no belt and a chain timing, when where the gears that drive the belts changed? Those usually have to be changed at the 100,000 mile range and it's usually expensive up to about $3000 for starters,
Ask the seller if it's a used dealer if they'll give you a warranty on the timing belt/timing gears and on the transmission...at least a month to three month warranty. So bro, the bottom line is really why and how bad to you want this ride. Hoping it works out for you, please let me know how it turns out...I wanna know. Stay safe, and keep riding.

Hey Off, that was the first MPV I drove, the 4 X 4...it belong to a G that I ran errands for back then, it was brand new. He had it for about a year, I drove it for a few months...nothing bad to pass on about it, only good experiences.I can't remember it ever having a problem when he had it or when I drove it.
