Dagen you are the man I can't believe how many songs you know how to play! And ya Schecters are some of the best guitars out there in my opinion that's why i own 8 Schecter guitars myself lol!
That acoustic tone on an electric guitar is so good.. What a versatile guitar.. Imagine playing through the fire and flames with the acoustic tone😆😆 You really can😆😆
There you have it folks the " Dagan Show". Another great video man, you make it look easy. I'm trying to pick-up guitar at 54 years old. Just hoping I can learn to play some decent metal riffing before I get too old. Lol
I don't know why I'm always surprised when you pull out the deep cut Mayer! This video have come out at a better time, considering I just learned of it's existence the other day. Another killer video and a seriously cool guitar I'm considering picking up!
I believe it also has a coil tap feature on the tone knob. And 2 output jacks so you can play acoustic and electric at the same time, and with the right foot pedal, blend between the 2 in real time, without touching the toggle switch. It’s literally 2 separate guitars in one.
Y'all have no idea how much I want that acoustic feature in a C-VI hellraiser. Imagine a 30" scale guitar you can play as a bass, an electric, and an acoustic at the flip of a switch.
I just put a fishman triple play express on my schecter catseye which also has the fishman power bridge. Electric tones, acoustic tones, synths, ...accordion 😂😂😂🎉
Hey Dagan! Have you ever done a review on the Schecter c-1 custom? I realize that it's out of production. Just curious on your take. There's not a whole lot of information on it online.
Hi Dagan! I play on my church worship team, so cutting edge shredding just doesn't fit, however, the acoustic tones will work nicely and was wondering if you thought this guitar could still deliver some great "sweet" and crunchy electric tones for worship? Or, are these pickups just too bold for that?
Cheers for that Dagan @@PMTVUK. If that's the case, you might want to consider recording it. It's definitely got no.1 hit written all over it. Thanks mate!
It is indeed a very good and versatile guitar. But I think that these brands who build "hybrid" electrics (with piezo pickup) should definitely collaborate with specialist brands like Godin to produce much more convincing acoustic sounds out of these guitars ... even though they're pretty expensive (well over 1000) they still all have that typical "plastic" piezo acoustic sound, same comment for the "PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo" as a matter of fact.
@@JohnShalamskas I'm talking about stage tone when the only support you have is the PA system and don't have the comfort to carry a whole lot of stuff (like amp + couple of pedals). You know, the "regular little gig". So it's always better when the hybrid guitar has it all "on-board". Line 6 had it with its Variax "thing", but it's discontinued.
Awesome video and guitar! What is the name of the song you’re playing in the beginning? I’ve heard you strum it a few times and it sounds so familiar but I can’t figure it out!
I was bummed out when I failed to order one of those Alex Lifeson Epiphones before they were all gone. But I just found a used Shecter C1 E/A guitar for 500 bucks, about half the price of the Epiphone. I can't find many used Epiphones on the market, and the ones that I did find were hundreds of dollars more than when new. Almost went for a used PRS Hollowbody II, but the price is over a grand, and tone is not 500 dollars better than the Shecter.
The bad part about Schecter they do not come with a case or gig-bag, you have to order one and wait for months to arrive. They just do not fit very well in non branded cases.
Wonderful guitar…Just a shame it doesn't have dual output jacks, so switching to just the piezo turns off the regular output…Same applies (even more so) to the more expensive version.
The stereo output jack with a stereo splitter cable allows you to split the signals from piezo and magnetic pickups. Run magnetic pickups into left channel input of an HX Stomp, piezo into right channel input. Split the paths inside the Stomp, panned to full left on top path and full right on bottom path. Run an acoustic guitar IR - EQ - compressor - tube preamp on the right (bottom) path. Run an amp + cab on the top path. Add reverb after the 2 signals merge.
Exactly what I plan to do with my C1 EA! Just got my HX Stomp yesterday and I’ve checked out how to split the input using the A/B path. Running the piezo thru an acoustic guitar IR should really bump up its realism. Instead of y splitter cables, I’ve got a Lekato TRS stereo wireless transmitter and receiver to separate the magnetic from the piezo pickups. I’m just waiting on SW to finish modding my C1 EA. They’re installing a 6-way Freeway pickup selector switch. This will give me 3 additional settings - series out of phase, parallel in phase, and parallel half out of phase. Then double those 6 with the split coil, and man, this should be one really versatile guitar. Especially going thru a Tonex One and an HX Stomp!
I love my Schecters. 10 years on and no real complaints.
They're great guitars!
i'm with you...been playing these for a long time now, and never disappointed...this guitar is actually my next purchase- what a flex machine...
Dagan you can make any guitar absolutely sing! Please can you make a video on your favorite riffs and/or your practice routine?
We have a couple of videos already on the channel of Dagan's Favourite Riffs 🤘 Give it a search on PMTVUK ⚡️
@@PMTVUK this is excellent! On it now
The Cat's eye finish has a flame maple top. The one seen here is a vintage Pelham blue
I like that , great color ! I just bought a c1 exotic in February and it's fantastic!
Nice!
are you running an acoustic amp?

Tuesday's Gone sounded great, made me realize how much i miss Ronnie Van Zant ...............................Thanks !
I really want one of these but haven't checked the price yet
It’s a pretty fair price
Now this guitar would be the absolutely perfect pick for playing holy wars live..😅
Dagan, I' m sorry but I believe those are pasadena pickups ..not diamond pickups anymore
The cat's eye one has the diamond pups
Amazing grace….
.... how sweet the sound?
The guitar is great but Dagan’s playing is what makes it 👍
🙌🤘

I just wish they made it in a gloss black.

Hi Dagan, what do you think about this Schecter vs PRS SE Piezzo?which one impressed you much? Thanks
Awesome stuff Dagan. What is the song at the beginning? Cheers mate.
Just some chords I always play, sounds like something but I have no idea what! ha

Just use the acoustic-only output (from the stereo jack) into your favorite acoustic IR.

Tc body rez pedal. It's found in their larger pedals as well but can be bought as a single effect.

He's got no idea! It's just something he plays quite a bit! It does sound familiar though, if anyone has any ideas let us know!
@@PMTVUK Whatever it is, it's a beautiful tune! Really showed off that piezo with it! Much love from the USA!
That model would make more sense with a shorter scale length & 22 frets. C-1’s can be had either way. Cult Classic.
What is your acoustic amp?
Just straight up into a PA system! Nothing in between 👌
"keep it nice down there"
This is great, but I think my Alex lifeson epiphone is the best guitar ever made! This is a close contender though!
Oh dear you ain’t been around too long.

I have a regular double electric guitar Mono case so I can transport two guitars…are you saying this won’t fit in that?

That come southpaw?
A beautiful sounding guitar, very versatile, but I would have to sell a kidney to be able to afford one;(
We offer some awesome finance deals too! Check them out on our website 🤘
Look around for a used one, I just snagged one with a case included for $499.
Shut up and take my money
does anyone else care what the acoustic amp he is playing is... us bothersome songwriters. Help a rhythm guitarist out and do tell sir. thanks, BTH
Your not good at playing acoustic?
