Dr. Ariela Orkaby is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of Frailty Research in the Division of Aging at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Associate Director for Research Training in the New England Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center at the Boston Veterans Administration. Dr. Orkaby is the founder of the American Geriatrics Society Cardiovascular Diseases in Aging Section. Dr. Orkaby leads the Research group for the American College of Cardiology, Geriatrics Cardiology Section.
Dr. Orkaby's research focuses on frailty in cardiovascular disease prevention, with particular attention to the role of evidenced based medications in older adults who have often been excluded from clinical trials.
