Thanks for the inspiration ❤️. I just thrifted some beige cotton khakis today and was thinking of pairing with my lighter clothes but had not thought to pair them with black. I think I try with black t shirt or blazer and black belt and my black square toe ballet flats.
I can’t wait to wear my autumn wardrobe, but we have two more months of hot (100+F) to very warm weather (80s-90sF) still to get through (California). Like most women, I think, autumn is my favorite “style season”. (I so easily overheat that summer is really just a period of endurance for me, I only wear linen). There’s just something irresistible about autumn’s rich colors, layers, tartans and checks, leather and suede, and two of my favorite things to wear: blazers and boots. I’m excited, some great colors are widely available this autumn, all browns, khaki greens and burgundies/maroons/oxbloods. Thanks, Sansha
I loved these outfits! 🥰 Wearing a crossbody bag with that pink shirtdress is a great way to create shape, as you said. I do this with a striped t-shirt dress that has no waist definition, when I don't want to wear a belt. Alternatively, I'll take the opportunity to add a pop of colour by wearing a red sling bag across my chest and matching pointed-toe slingback flats! Thanks for the great tips, as always, Sansha! ❤
Sansha, these are all great looks! As for the Shoulder Pad Black T-shirt, I think maybe a more subtly shaped shoulder pad might be even better looking. Amazon has quite the selection, but I bet you have a tailor who can find a pad that doesn’t create a ridge near the neckline. 😊
The items in the first outfit that you call burgundy look very brown in the video. Are they perhaps closer to maroon or oxblood, the more brownish versions of burgundy? Or it could just be the lighting. In any case, I love the outfit; this is casual done right, with style!
It’s definitely the lighting! The colour isn’t accurate on camera, but it’s somewhere between bordeaux and burgundy. There is a hint of purple in, and it’s such a gorgeous deep shade.
I envy your wide shoulders and narrow waist! You look so great in everything with your shape. I have narrow shoulders, and, although slim, a thicker waist, especially since menopause. That perhaps explains why that pink shirtdress looks so much better on you than on me. I got it in the same size, from your link, the ironing is a pain, isn’t it? I just couldn’t resist that light, cool pink color and a cotton shirtdress is always so versatile, they’re great for the equinoctial seasons (spring and autumn). Except for all that ironing - I don’t usually mind it, but it’s not fun when it’s really hot inside, even with my big fan going. That’s why I love silk shirt dresses, they don’t need ironing after the initial ironing to remove packing wrinkles, but it’s too warm to wear those right now (I buy every one that Lily Silk offers).🙂

I’m so glad you loved it! And yes, beige looks so good with lighter and darker colours……it’s so versatile 😊❤️

Great looks. You look adorable in the pink shirt dress.
Thanks Diane! It’s definitely an unusual colour for me but I love it😊❤️
