I feel like the reason people consider Chien-Pao to be a bad deck is because they tend to overlook other ways to play the deck that might not sound "correct", but actually might be for them. Because I still run Palkia and Skaters' Park in my Chien-Pao list (not to mention I went into a league challenge with it, undefeated, and made some upsets) I see myself often flying under the radar. Also, in my case, I believe PokeStop to be a rather RNG based stadium and if your deck has anything that comes down to chance (especially of discarding an Irida or two) that just might be what sets it back. There's also Iron Hands ex whose ultimate weakness is its retreat cost and that it's another two prizer besides Chien-Pao ex. I'm also generally more comfortable with the build I have right now. So, if you want to prove Chien-Pao ex as a good archetype, just play what works for you and make whatever changes you see fit. If something doesn't work for you, it just might not be what suits you best. At the end of the day, it's all about what your goals are as a player.
You did great man! Was happy to see a fellow Chien Pao make it to Day 2! I was the one who said hi a couple times following your Chien Pao footsteps! Ended the day 5-3-1.
I saw you several times but you seemed to be talking to someone else who just came up and i didnt want to interrupt. I just wanted to day i enjoy your vlogs. Maybe next regionals. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I will make a video explaining the strategy but basically you always want to take 2 prizes with the deck with Pao or hands, and sometimes you can't like with Rad zard or a clean baby gardy
Honestly I thought you were gonna make top 8 this one..with a field of 20% zard & most of them cut Avery, that’s like THE meta game for chien pao. It was a tough event tho forsure

It was great meeting at SAN.
I almost played chien-pao but ultimately stuck with rapid. Got 128 as well and was hoping to get a match against you lol
I got top 128 as well. Crazy that because of so many people your record would send you in or out of a whole point payout bracket. 2252 masters.
Yo shout out! Met you at San Antonio! Yay for the video!

Thanks! I will make a video explaining the strategy but basically you always want to take 2 prizes with the deck with Pao or hands, and sometimes you can't like with Rad zard or a clean baby gardy
