Christina was wrong to call a senior on another senior. Christina lacks empathy very much. Sydney Heron was a surgeon with experience unlike Christina. She should have respected that !
I think it is amazing how you would think that she is so sweet, upbeat and naive because she is so unlike Bailey but she is actually really fierce and can stand up for herself. I love Christina but in this episode, I am kinda glad that she got scolded by her. She clearly knows what she is doing.
What this showed was if Cristina doesn't respect someone then their decision must be wrong too if Bailey recommended the same treatment regardless of how Cristina felt she would have sucked it up. Cristina made this personal it is one of her many flaws.
I agree. She kind of reminded me of April Kepner....very sweet and bubbles and rainbows like you said....but even with April, when it came down to it, she was a hardcore surgeon who demanded respect from the big boys when she was in her OR. I didn't like April at first, but in the end, I respected her....as I did with Dr. Heron.
Alex knows how to 'play the game' it's not sucking up but to be the best you have to go what's best for the patient...And saving the leg is the best option...& sydney is right...The women isn't 80...she's in her late 20/early 30's...sorry work in a hospital so i get passionate about this stuff...
Except saving a leg by removing muscle doesn't help her in the long run. She won't be able to get back into sports with a leg that doesn't function properly, whereas a prosthetic can.
I would never be friends with someone like Yang in real life. lol She is self-obsessed, narcissistic and selfish. The two redeeming qualities in her is 1) Her love for Meredith 2) Her passion for success (but not necessarily medicine). Truly Sandra Oh has done a marvelous job with the character. Bravo!
I think too i can't be friend someone who doesn't respect other she like medicine but she lack compassion grat knowledge of medicine makes u a best practicener but compassion and kindness with good knowledge of medicine makes u a good doctor. Christina treat Izzy and George like a crap. Sandra oh do justice with character but the character is awful
@@maclanekeller8308Right? Who says that in front of a CHILD?! She just lost her father and now you want to take him apart like a puzzle? That’s just wrong.
I only started Grey's Anatomy and this episode made me officially hate Cristina. She was practically drooling to cut off that woman's leg instead of trying to find a different to way to save it. Cutting the leg is suppose to be the last result, not the first. She is completely selfish, narcissistic, and uncompassionate. Then she complains to her boyfriend like a whiny spoiled child. I am so glad that Cristina and Burke got put in their place. Burke was unprofessional.
"Trying to save a patient from death is pretty compassionate!" I disagree. The rule of healthcare/medicine, after pledging to do no harm, should be to maintain the highest quality of life possible. Otherwise, what's the point?

The thing is Cristina would never dare to question Bailey if Bailey had made the same call that Sydney had made (if Bailey was there she more than likely would have) Cristina was just being spoiled here and undermining and this is probably one of the only times that I didn't agree with her or feel bad for her.
Love how Sydney said she was a huge fan of Burke’s but yet she didn’t recognize him lol. Surely she’s seen a picture of him on website, including the hospital’s, with his mask on and off?! 😂
honestly christina is forgetting she is only an intern and bailey's replacement is the resident. She knows what she is doing
This is a lesson. Never think that nice people cannot stand up for the selves. Never take advantage of there cheerfulness.
Syd was a beast. She not only professionally humiliated Cristina but she also put Burke in his place too.

She put them both in their place with kindness and compassion

I liked the fact that she humiliated them both
she gave yang the ego check she desperately needed. her clapback was so satisfying
“Being in cardio thoracic surgery I wouldn’t think you seen any”
Translation: so you have chosen death

I’m with Yang on this one. The lack of education they provided the husband is kind of not right
Yeah but the option of at least trying to save BEFORE u amputate completely is better than amputating immediately.
Additionally, amputation is the last resort for necrotizing fasciitis. Yang is too eager in this case.
@@saff4997 lmao i’d rather have my leg

She is a great actress but the character is awful. Hell, all of the characters are awful but I love to hate most of them LOL

@@calystaacollida8387 i remember the time when she asked to cut off the patients skin in front of his little girl.
Cristina is arguably the best written and most interesting character, with the best actress. But is not someone you'd likely be friends with irl

She really humbled Cristina here
Heron was so professional. She reminded Yang to scrub back in again after that instrusion.

It irked me he didn’t apologize.
Christina was way out of line
She should have been disciplined for this

One of my favorite scenes in Grey’s!
yeah christina was soooo out of line here i kinda hate her for it chile
Little did she known alex became everything what she said about him

Girl she called an attending on a 4th year resident. Thats tots valid
i love cristina but was kinda glad she was put in her place
Win that fight Alex!
alex's reaction in 2:28 is the best
I worked so hard to find this video after I saw a 30 sec short with no info on the show.
She's very passive aggressive
I would say shes more assertive for herself

Ha! If Cristina is more compassionate than Alex then I’m Beyoncé...
Alex is always nice to his patients
Cristina was my least favorite of the OG interns always loved it when she got put in her place
Cristina didn't think for a second that Dr Heron was capable, but she didn't get to be a resident like Bailey for nothing.
Why didn't he tie his mask before entering the op theatre 😂😂😂
so what happened to the leg?
just because she is burkes gf ?????
I know right
Love how Sydney said she was a huge fan of Burke’s but yet she didn’t recognize him lol. Surely she’s seen a picture of him on website, including the hospital’s, with his mask on and off?! 😂
This is so unreal. A resident cannot do surgery on their own. They work with an attending
Senior residents do solo surgeries but under the approval of an attending
Mic drop!
ugh I can’t stand cristina🙄
Cristina was the worst
El personaje de Christina era arrogante
2:50 not only that but Yang just wanted to do the surgery. She didn’t care
