You can use the Eye of Tzeentch on the warpsmith even when he can't shoot. This is because you don't select targets until after you've selected the unit to shoot. So the order of operations is thus:
-Select Warpsmith to shoot
-Choose to use Dark Pacts
-Select targets
-No viable targets
-End of shooting with Warpsmith
-Take dark pact roll (risking mortal wounds)
-Take Eye of Tzeentch roll
That way you can keep him safely in the back, generating command points.

Lord Beard you are able to use the Spartan in 40K, they have legends rules for it where you can still have your quad lascannons.
Beard, regarding the Dark Pacts rule, you make your attacks first, then roll leadership test. That way you don't lose any attacks from the unit.
he uses dark pack on out of sequence attacks too. you can use dark packs but you do not gain bonuses (sustain hits) there are units that get buffs when you do it (terminators) but not in this game.
@@simian872why you wouldn't? Dark pact isn't phase specific so every time you shoot or fight, regardless of phase, you can use it

This isn't phase specific.
Out of phase rule only prevents phase locked rules.

The Invictor bullrushes the Land Raider, opens a hatch, sees the frothing maniacs inside, quickly tries to close it back.
Except the tank is now riddled with bullet holes and there's Possessed running amock all over the place.

It is 12 shots. They are equipped with 2 guns with 6 shots each.

Apparently in the regular fluff the pressure tanks contain the boiling blood of murderers, which steam powers the daemon engine. Noice!

With the Helbrute and the god mark dark pacts, the rule say that if you get Sustained/Lethal Hits you then crit on 5+. So would you both lethal AND sustained on 5+ near the Helbrute?

The Mark says that you crit on a 5 if you get your associated buff.
And since you get both buffs, you automatically get the associated one. And the wording is that you trigger crits on 5+ (and both buffs key off of crits)
So you do both on a 5+

Infernal Rites is 2cp, not 1.
We filmed this on the assumption it should have been 1CP, like Armour of Contempt
As Infernal Rites is the only stratagem that cost 2cp it is most likely intended to be that way.
The only name for that lord of skulls is the Iron Giant. Anything less simply will not stand!!!!!

I think you mentioned this in a previous game assuming gw had made a mistake, but infernal rite is 2CP not 1 and it looks like its intentional since they havent addressed it.
This was filmed before the latest update, so was played on the assumption its a mistake. Which we still think it is 😅

just a late note, the repulsor has to either have a heavy bolter or the lascannon, and either the gatling cannon or the lastalon, can't have all 4

Mark of Khorne makes Lethal hits go off on 5+ in melee, Mark of Slannesh makes sustained hits go off on 5+ in melee

Always enjoyed your battle reports, easily my favorite just because you have fun and manage to explain the events of the game clearly. Not sure when the animations on the screen started, but I love them--super helpful in picking up what's changed on the battlefield from moment to moment. Thanks for making this fun!

Or did you consider it a typo, as with the cost of a stratagem on reducing ap?

I know I'm a little late to the party, but Venomcrawlers have 2x Excruciator Cannons thus making them have 12 attacks base, increasing by 2 each time they slay a unit due to Soul-Eater :).

Im not a fan of dark pacts and it's the first time I've ever considered a named character for 80% of my lists just cause at 1k Huron enables deep strike on big terminator squads.

I just started the hobby, but are aggressors legal like that? As far as I know, you can't use flamestorm gauntlet with fragstorm grenade launcher, or did I miss something?

Beard, i think maybe Smoke would have been the better start to use during that onslaught targeting your Land raider. Giveing it Cover save and Stealth. I don't know.
As an IW player, this army does things to me, does dark things to me. Also, how'd you smooth out the siege shield on the LoS? Looking at the pattern on the original shield you can make a pretty good looking IW skull design by smoothing out some of it in key areas.
Corroded Centaur - name candidate for big boy
Perhaps the name "The Coagulated Cauldron" or "Crusty" for short might work for the Lord of Skulls.

i may have missed something but i believe bard moved the repulsor and then advanced the bladeguard out and then charged with them. i dont believe that is allowed otherwise it would invalidate the land raiders rule as being special.
