The popping only occurs when the throttle is completey shut on engine overrun / deceleration and its caused by the idle air/fuel screw being slightly closed (wound in) too much. You can eliminate it by not closing the throttle fully when you shut it or adjust the air/fuel screw out (counter clockwise) a little bit at a time until it goes away or greatly reduces. Some people dont even bother with it.
I read that they pop even with the stock exhaust but you just can't hear it with all the chambers. I got a screaming demon exhaust from AUS for $400 on offer, with 3 removable baffles for different levels of bogan. I keep it on the quiet one and it's just enough of an improvement to stop it sounding like a wet fart but not annoy anyone. Definitely feels like it can breath a bit easier but who knows.

Dan - that is "tits" !!! - Never heard of that being done before - very clever. In my opinion, that's not expensive at all.... Great upgrade. I also think you'll notice a fuel mileage increase as the bike will run better & be less restricted - Not done watching yet, but getting there !!!

Yea I could on occasion hear mine pop with the stock can not really noticable though. I have seen that pipe it looks and sounds good 👍
