    If only morons breed, only morons will lead. We need high functioning children and this family fits the model. Good for them having such beautiful, bright kids. Women who wait to have children (past their 20's) will be disappointed in many cases.

    Anyone else grimace in anticipation when the little boy started to slide down the banister then feel relief when he stopped before hitting the end cap? lol

    Most men in the US and Europe could be infertile by 2050, according to a new study. ... Sperm count in men from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand declined by 50-60% between 1973 and 2011, according to a new study from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.Infertility is becoming a public health issue in Europe. Declining birth rates over the past 50 years mean that Europe is only producing 1.6 children per woman - hardly satisfactory to compete on the global stage against increasing populations of fit and able youth from the emerging economies of India and Africa and South America.A prominent reason for reduced fertility is the age-related decline in the number and quality of eggs as women in all European countries wait longer to have their first birth.Mass infertility is the 'logical conclusion' to the current patterns, according to one expert. "If the data on sperm counts is extrapolated to its logical conclusion,European men will have little or no reproductive capacity from 2060 onward," wrote Chris Barratt, Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the University of Dundee Europe Infertility testing and treatment market generated a revenue of $5874 million in 2016 and is anticipated to contribute $9874 million by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 6.01%. Europe has the largest market share of In-vitro fertilization market. Variation in skin color is the most noticeable of human polymorphisms. As visually dominant mammals, we readily notice differences in skin color in each other. As primates who uniquely use language to create categories, we readily give names to these differences. Since the mid-18th century, skin color has been the single most important physical trait used to define human groups. The prevalence of skin cancers is highest in lightly pigmented people who experience chronic or intense episodic exposures to strong UVR in places far from their ancestral homelands (MacKie et al., 2009). Skin cancers are mostly a consequence of modern human migrations and resulting mismatches between skin pigmentation and geography or lifestyle.dark skin pigmentation in humans had evolved primarily to prevent reduction of fertility due to the photolysis of folate present in cutaneous blood vessels (Jablonski and Chaplin, 2000). We presented evidence that folate depletion by UVR would precipitate folate deficiencies that would, in turn, lead to potentially fatal birth defects such as neural tube defects (NTDs). Dark skin pigmentation in humans evolved primarily to prevent reduction of fertility due to the photolysis of folate present in cutaneous blood vessels and destruction of DNA (Jablonski and Chaplin, 2000).Folate is important especially in rapidly dividing cells, such as those of the embryo and seminiferous tubules. Thus folate deficiencies caused by UVR would potentially affect both female and male fertility. Low folate levels cause derangements of folate-mediated 1-carbon metabolism that lead to serious diseases and birth defects. Folate deficiencies cause faulty DNA replication due to strand breaks caused by misincorporation of excessive uracil into DNA (Han et al., 2007; Stover, 2009). Studies from Africa have demonstrated that black people have higher vitamin B12 (cobalamin) levels than do white people. The dark skin of humans naturally arose because women who were darker skinned carried more normal fetuses to term than those who were light skinned. In dark skinned populations the MC1R locus is extremely conserved, suggesting powerful selective constraints which prevent sequence variation. No matter the phylogenetic relationships between dark skinned populations there is a consensus sequence which seems to have been selected for deep in the human past which remains the norm across these groups (i.e., though Melanesians and Africans are both very distantly related their dark skin is the end product of the same genetic architecture). But counterbalancing the need to block sunlight due to reduction in folate levels is the fact that vitamin D synthesis requires a minimum level of radiation to be catalyzed. Reduced vitamin D levels in caucasians not only result in bone deformations (i.e., rickets), but a heightened sensitivity to a host of diseases.

    The Beimischers (is that the name of the couple with 5 children?) look much happier and somehow more alive, more human, than the young childless couple. Especially Alina, the young lady who considers her career more important than having children, looks more a well-dressed and nicely made-up robot than like a real, living woman. Having children may impede your career, but it makes you a more realised human being.

      i guess its all about what you value the most in the end. its a matter of opinion. people on the otherside of the spectrum might see the mom as a "robot" cliche nuclear family mom. i dont see it that way but thats an opinion is my point.
      i agree with you, some people put things like career and money before family and whether being financially better is worth it is up to the individual in the end.

      timmy D= What matters ultimately, is what helps the nation? Educated, intelligent people having children, or non-educated ones having more children? The wealth that Alina enjoys is because previous generations did not postpone having children but had large(r) families. If she travels too much with her husband, one day she will not have a country to return to.

    Scientist should stop scaring women into hurrying and having kids. First they say the world is over populated, then certain countries are not having enough. Fertility is more to do with diet, stress and other environmental factors, not your "age". Many very young women now are unable to get pregnant. Thinking, caring and planning your kids like the young couple are doing is just fine. The couple with 5 are also very happy. Many people here in the USA aren't close to these two examples.

    The government should pay retirees a small stipend salary (below the minimum wage) to staff daycare facilities. You get reduced daycare costs for the government which would increase public spending capacity on the issue and at simultaneously give the elderly a fulfilling life and reduce public pension liabilities. A culmination of measures like this would at least slow the fertility crisis.

    I feel like yes, we need to work at having a great career. However, the economy can always change in the future and your wonderful career might mean nothing.We are so busy trying to do the correct thing that we often forget to live...what memories will you take to your grave? the 15 hour work days? that you gave your youthful years to
    major corporations just for the sake of writing them on your resume?

    Intelligent people realise that it is better to have a smaller, happier, healthier, educated, families. Good for Germany and even better for Russia ( Russia has actually decreased it's population). The world cannot sustain the growth seen elsewhere in the world. In Australia we have a baby bonus payment, which just encourages those who should least breed to do so.

      One question: Who is to finance their pensions?

    • @Riversleigh1
      @Riversleigh1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      people with less children are usually better off financially in old age plus modern economies have superannuation. Not many children support their parents. Financing retirement is a difficult reality no matter how many kids we have or where we live. Currently there is a shortage of age care facilities where I live but when the baby boomers are gone that situation will be different because of decreased demand and because we have compulsorily saved super for those who have worked.

      Who is competent to decide that one couple may have children and another may not? It is very presumptious to say that this or that person must not be "allowed to breed". And it resembles very much Nazi thinking.

    • @Riversleigh1
      @Riversleigh1 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I never said anyone else should decide if someone should have children and I am not talking about being allowed to breed. It's more about poverty. A child requires a huge portion of a parents resources to be raised well. If you have no time, or love, or shelter, or money, or food, or health care, or education to give then you should decide yourself not to breed until you can give those things. Resources are finite, if you can only raise one child well, then only have one not ten.

      Absolutely. Nearly all white women bred like mormon women 100 years plus ago. Once they got to involved in the corporate world. And feminism. They refused the traditional way women lived.
      And there went the population.

      France and the USA are not accurate... as they are counting imigration, With adjustment it drops to 1.9 just below the needed 2.1for population equilibrium. so the State survives but the Nation falters and it's ideology will go the way of the dodo bird "viva la raza, Pease be upon him ".
