Awesome video my friend! I rebuilt this same motor in my 90 5.0. Brings back some good memories. It a great motor with a lot of potential HP. I vote for paint...Ford Blue!
Awesome brother good luck to you, I'm actually doing the exact same thing to my 95 5.0, Same color as yours by the way she sit for awhile, and apparently head gaskets were bad, that's what I hoping. It hydro locked on me one day stayed running! Lol drove about mile back home. Took chunk outta cylinder 7 but not past the oil ring so I think I'm good to go after hone
Good luck on your project! Glad you will be getting the old girl back on the road again. Also always cool seeing and hearing others with this paint color, I sure don't see it often! Thanks for stopping by
I believe it was a t40 sized torx bit. I just welded it on the end of a long steel rod and used vice grips to loosen it. Could also use long bit extensions if you have those
@@Backyardwrenching1243 thanks! Any idea of how to remove the distributor if motor is seized? *keeper bolt is removed* distributor will not budge with penetrating lube, heat or minimal force.

Thank you for watching! Next parts coming soon!
What did you use to remove the torx bolt on the upper intake? Have a 302 project of my own.

@@HPruitt92 it’s likely just stuck in from corrosion and age. It just pulls straight out, it may take some force.
Paint it Ford blue
I did !!
