HF should send you a new one. Then weld the old one for a spare. Best of both worlds. LOL Good luck.

Haha... That's what I'm hoping for too.

Nice work how old is your machine? I've got a kellfri trencher brilliant machine similar to the HF. Mine almost 18months old and I broke the arm that holds the bottom cylinder that operates the side to side swing.
Very safe machine though I did come off over the front once a slope into a ditch.but no fear of machine turning over even though I've had it on the side of a hedge. Good videos showing what these machines can really do thanks

It is only like 6 months old. I love the machine. Just broke a weld and my brother has a guy who is is going to weld it back and stronger. I wanted to use tech support but this option is easier.

Dang!!!! You run that thing like a BOSS!!! I have brush I need cleared... you convinced me to buy one of these!!
How many hours to run it like you are here???

I appreciate it. That is maybe 4 to 5 hours. It is slow but does get the job done. I have nothing bad to say about it because if you expected something to eat through everything then lots of money needs to be spent. I hope that helps some.

Thanks for the video! I'm considering purchasing one of these. Good to see it can dig through rocky ground because that is all I have on my property! I had a few questions for ya. Were you able to fix the outrigger? Are parts for the machine easy to get? Roughly how many total hours do you have on your machine? Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me!

I did not go through Harbor Freight because my brother had a mechanic welder from his shop make me a stronger one. I have not started digging again yet but will this or next week. I appreciate you! and hope to advance on those answers soon.

@@ColoradoCamperman I appreciate it. Yeah this thing isn't meant for this much abuse haha. But it'll get it anyway.

@@ColoradoCamperman It has it's limits but it will do everything you would expect it to do. I've been very impressed for the money.

Yes they are brilliant machines and safe too you could go up and down your slope easy I wouldn't have a track digger now if offered one. The only thing wrong with the trencher is it can't swivel round so if you wanted to turn in that track it's very hard. I noticed that you have thinner wheels than mine which are fatter I think maybe that's better as thinner would go through mud easier. I've also put 4wheels on mine to tow around the land so only have to take one set off no need to tilt to one side. Not good to move forward with just wheels though as it runs away ☺️

It definitely doesn't do what some more purposeful machines could do, having some limitations. But for the money and it is fun to run, I can't complain at all.

The one reason I use mine so much, lower center of gravity

i really hate it when the legs break ...lol.... after rewelding it back together a few times, we finally just grabbed up some 1/2-inch flat stock and reinforced the heck out of everything that even looked a little suspicious .... I won't say it is indestructible now. Still, I think the cylinders may wear out before I have any more outrigger problems ..... here is a tip ... the cylinder pivot pins need greasing every three hours ... in fact, it doesn't hurt to grease the whole thing every three hours ...... I found out the hard way that the eyes on the rams will break off if not regularly lubricated..... they get extremely hot if you don't grease them and they will weaken over time to the point that they break right off

Kinda Ike the northern tool version nortrac 15 hp electric start nearly 4 gpm pump and faster.

      @potjoutdoors3368  2 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm sure that thing is a beast. That's almost double the hp and electric start is sweet. When I bought this it was on sale for $2999 and there was a $500 off coupon too. They messed my order up so I got it for the $2499 and they waved the freight cost. You can upgrade the pump and motor on this one. But so far I'm happy with it's performance.

You need a thumb for moving rocks.
Did you think it would not break? You get what you pay for.

I do need a thumb. I did and agree you get what you pay for. I have done way more to this thing than what is is advertised for and can do. I didn't think it would break but I just kept digging and didn't care. It is has been amazing for what I made it do.
