I kinda find that a little more hilarious honestly to have basically everyone win a game after a whole heck of a lot of fighting back and forth, just for them to have to go through a whole new game just to determine who wins.

Infinitely better than the Millennium Star’s “coin flip” or as everyone else mentioned the dice roll. If everyone played that well to get an exact tie, then yeah, they all deserve to be called winners.
That fact that there is actually unique dialogue and not just a random player winning shows that Nintendo it still developing and making the Mario Party series even better!

I'm fine with ties. That said, imagine if there was one final sudden death mini-game involving a special 4-player version of Tricky Turntable. One round, ten seconds, three Bob-ombs, one Star, no music. Whoever gets the Star wins. Now THAT would be crazy.

A full 4 person tie is a little feasable if the last person at the last turn steps on the bowser tile and rolls the bowser revolution event to make all coins the same. Having star ties happen sometimes, not 4 way ties but everyone having the exact ammount of coins is more likely to happen via the bowser revolution.
