It may be annoying, but it is a testimony, not a freely told life story. The interviewer was looking for certain informations to be included in the testimony.

The memories are precious. He should have been allowed to talk as he was able to account in a detailed manner. If she wanted to get the important information, she should still wait for him to complete the topic. She just rudely interrupted him to ask a completely off the beat question to break his flow. She is the worst interviewer I have watched so far.

Out of the approx. 2.5 million people who were deported to various Nazi camps during 12 years of Nazi rule, Jews, Roma, Soviet prisoners of war, German dissidents etc., some 100 thousand survived, i.e. 4%. Tell the remaining 96% about "survivor camps". And there were the ghettos. My parents were children when they were forced into the Budapest ghetto. They starved, witnessed executions, saw close relatives die. When you were the same age your only problem was what to watch on tv. Any questions?

Mr Sinason's story suggests that there were many small details essential for his and his brother's survival. It could have gone wrong anytime. What if the German soldier in Paris did not give him the advice to leave the school? What if his aunt had no German passport without a "J" stamped into it?
So many people were involved in their rescue, from Spanish nuns and French officials to American organizations, but still I feel ashamed that Mr Sinason and his family, and many other innocent people, were not allowed to live their lives in peace in the first place. Luckily, he was out of Europe before the deportations and the mass murder gained momentum in Western Europe.

This is a Shoah project conducted by USC. The interviewers have specific information they need to get from each survivor. They have documented thousands of these testimonies. This interviewer is NOT rude, in a rush, silly, or otherwise. She sounds fine to me. I do not understand why on each of these testimonials someone always comments about the interviewers. thank you Mr Sinason for your invaluable testimony.

Sorry she was INDEED in a rush,Oftentimes he could not even finish answering her FIRST question before she barked out another question and another! It was BEYOND irritating to listen to her constant interruptions. Several times he had to gently tell her HE WOULD GET TO THAT PART OF HIS STORY WHEN HE GOT TO IT. She didn;t seem to get the hint. I have commented VERY positively on these very Shoah Project interviews about the interviewers when they do a good job. And when it is just kind of a BLAH job I dont say anything either. BUT when it becomes what can only be called ANNOYING , that is when *I* speak up as we see many others do on this thread and other Shoah Project threads as well.

Interviewer kept interrupting him in the middle of a sentence. He did not pause-- she cut him off midstream before he could finish the answer to his questions with another question. He was speaking about music and playing with his orchestra which gave him such pleasure, after all the trauma he had been through. So rude. And she kept asking him to spell words that any person should know how to spell, such as "Henry." She kept asking him to spell simple words, so he mischieviously asks "should I spell that?" I am so glad his whole family survived, brother, Mom and Dad which was a miracle. He lost half of his extended family.

I am also not sure, why she had him spell out Berlin and Germany in the beginning. This makes sense for less known places with difficult spelling, but seriously ….
