Given that some of the geometry in the square doesn't render in big run, I wouldn't be surprised if ambiance is added when that's fixed, otherwise I'll be very disappointed

It’s because Inkblot is canonically VERY close to Inkopolis Plaza. During the Wahoo World Big Run, we couldn’t go to Inkopolis, so we couldn’t hear it. We couldn’t hear this in Anarchy Alley during either of the Big Runs, however when/if we finally have one in the Splatlands, we’ll probably be able to hear it in Splatsville, and Inkopolis will have the treatment that Splatsville has been getting

The fact that no military ever responds to this literal invasion is probably the scariest part or if all, because it means you have to rely on a bunch of company employees to defend the city.

They’re most likely gonna make another DLC for Splatoon, and I REAAAALLLY want it to be horror. Ever since even the boss room screams back in Splatoon 1, with the lore and everything there’s always been this terrifying feeling of horror with Splatoon and I would absolutely love to see it come to fruition.
As nice as that would be, nintendo is VERY good at making subtle horror in kid-friendly games without scaring the kids away, and perhaps that is enough, because I find a lot of joy in the slow dawning dread of finding horror in such games. That said, they definitely have the capability of making a good true horror game!

It feels so eerie listening to what sounds like a fight against an onslaught of monsters right on the outskirts of city limits. The fact that you can hear the roaring and explosions almost feels like a disaster is barrelling towards you.

I once had a dream where they did a sort of Halloween big run thing... it was actually kinda scary. the sky was white instead of red and there was a new king salmonid that was covered in blisters and boils. The boss salmonids were fucked up too idk why.

In the Salmon Run Lobby, there is a TV that has four screens playing on it. If you look closely, you can see Splatsville. But, you can also see grey figures with green clothing by the river behind Salmon Run on it. The grey figures are also by Sheldon’s shop, the Splatsville stairs, Harmony’s shop, and the doors that go to the Turf War lobby. And what if… The grey figures were SALMONIDS!!! Okay so for those of you don't know why we fight these salmons it's because thanks to Grizz and creating griscoe and us the player characters. Are actively stealing their golden eggs and killing them they've been frenzied to attack the city. Just telling this so people understand why it's kind of our fault, also I have a small feeling griz will eventually come back down to earth you still very much alive by the way. The stinger actually has a little theme like the fish stick so it was probably that and not it's pots breaking

The Splatoon world feels so much more alive than basically any other Nintendo property, all these little details really add up
