I don't see how AEW has that much money going out and can still be profitable. $15 million for essentially 15 minutes per week is a big spend when your weekly revenues aren't keeping that pace. They only generate about $100-150 million, and I can't imagine that number is trending upward. Maybe you "have to" re-sign MJF if you're AEW, but if they were able to truly get their other high-priced talent to start generating clicks, TV viewers, ticket sales, and merch sales - they wouldn't need to pay one guy that much to pull the whole wagon. That's how Hogan got paid until the 90's, comparatively to the rest of the WWF roster. But he was paid proportionate to how much he was drawing compared to everyone else. Vince also made 3 or 4 times on Hulkamania t-shirts whatever he was paying Hogan as a salary/cut. 🤷

I was disappointed to see him show back up on AEW, but only because I feel that Max will never achieve his true potential as an entertainer (he is *way* more than just a wrestler) until he goes to WWE/Endeavor. MJF has incredible potential. But potential doesn't always buy the groceries. Does he deserve $15,000,000.00 for what he's done so far? I don't think so. But I don't think anyone is worth that per year if they're not making my company grow exponentially. He is the best overall talent on that roster, but I don't think many of those people should be earning more than a couple hundred grand per year for their contributions. Look at how many people are under contract with that company. I honestly don't know who came up with the $2 billion value of the company at Forbes, but I'd like to know how they got there. It's been 5 years and that company has not become profitable.

My thinking is the 15 million a year could be just a storyline. Now he can say in character that.

I did my best to kinda copy his promo style so that’s why you’ll see a few WWE references and I think and feel that it’s great because it’s something not seen done a wrestler naming stuff from other promotions.
Now hypothetically if I was HHH and we went to WWE his debut would be at Wrestlemania and he come out to the main event title match and stop the baby face from winning then beat up the heal. ( the ref has taken a bump and is knocked out at this time ) he gets on the microphone and says.
“ For anyone who doesn’t know me I’m MJF that’s Maxwell Jacob Freedom and I’m hear for two reasons. One for the o only championship that matters in it professional wrestling and so all the pathetic morons have something that really matters to talk about. Now hit my music. “
Now unfortunately the title match ends because both wrestle can’t make the 10 count when the ref gets back up. But a rematch is scheduled for the next premium live event and whoever wins wins clean. MJF wins the intercontinental or US title defend it till before the Royal rumble enters the Royal rubble batch and wins and at wrestlemania wins the universal championship.
To add the reason the two wrestlers in the main event of wrestlemania would already have been wrestling for over 30-40 minutes with the commentating team mentioning the time and how there starting to look to exhausted to keep going and both would have a work injury in the match and both miss a high risk move about 5 minutes before MJF interferes so it also looks like he picked the best time to have then from not having someone at there peak performance AKA beating someone when there down.
That cannot be good for morale backstage. Tony has dropped the ball on sooooo many people. I do not see money in MJF. I do disagree WWE has a better product in the sense AEW has better matches every week. WWE is riding on 6 decades as a company and multiple buyouts of other companies. AEW bought out one company and is six years old at best rn. People can try to debate it, but it's truth.
