- I'm more a saloon/touring/TCR/GT3 fan with rallying thrown in but @nocommentaryjustgaming set me a challenge of having a crack at Le Mans Ultimate. These are my first impressions of LMU, good....and bad....

I'm an AC fanboy but I'm finding the FFB detail really good in LMU & you should try the Porsche GTE as very communicative.
biggest issue in terms of driving ive seen is lthe lack of tire screech when approaching the limit of grip. apparently this is for realism but i think its a bad decision. most of us dont have motion platforms and rely on both sound and ffb along with visual to work out how close to the limit we are.
the first race i did in the 296 mod challenge on lfm the car was missing tire screech and it felt very strange to drive. was glad the updated the sound for the following week
Yeah, the tire noise was a big issue, I had no clue i was losing grip when braking unless i looked at the tire diagram turning red!
First of all, well done on reaching your 100th video and thank you for accepting my friendly challenge! It was very interesting to know your opinion of each car class, and specially to know your thoughts playing the game with a steering wheel (like you know I play in a controller and its way to different). For the price, I think its a fair purchase in the moment, but I also agree with you about the game being in early acess...and being with constant changes each week pratically. LMP2 at the beginning it was not my favourite class, but right now I´m just love it, so if you invest a little time on those you will have good racing moments. Hypercars are not my strong, but the GTEAM (now LMGT3) are also great for start our "adventure" in the online mode. The handling its quite precise, it feels more heavy and its good to we have a feel of the game so we can move on to the faster cars.The sounds, I think we both share our opinions, they are one of the best things of the game, and the AI its also quite challenging and races quite clean, so its good not to te rammed constantly (and its also nice to see that they commit driving mistakes during races). If you feel like it, have a race or two with rain and let me know your thoughts about how the cars behave and the graphic details on those conditions. Once again, thank you!! Thanks for the challenge! The Ferrari sound I'd say is definitely not there yet, and I've driven the GT3 Evo IRL quite a lot. the LMP2, even having not driven one, feels very immersive and of the 3, my favourite to drive. I will give them a go, and yeah, rain would be a challenge. My best ACC result was actually in the rain at Road Atlanta, so should be fine....hahaha . Thanks for the kind comments as always!
