Honestly if Skyjay didn’t shield and went for the side b at the very end, there would have been a game 5. But he predicted the limit neutral b so he shielded. Wish we saw a game 5 maybe he would’ve beat spargo again

I always wonder when there are matchups where Skyjay doesn't go for revenges as much. I'd love to hear him explain why it's not as useful even tho Sparg0 is constantly swinging at him with no breaks.
I agree, I think he should do more revenged specially at ledge against Clouds Up B. However, it is vereery unsafe if you miss it.
Yea I have to say I agree.
I main cloud and my good friend mains Incin, and honestly I struggle vs this match up because of revenge tech from Incin. Even as Cloud can’t just swing on him freely. I feel like all those up airs he could have capitalized more with his revenge.
I don't know why he didn't EVER revenge (esp in game 4) when getting spammed and juggled by the up air.
You get your revenge read like crazy if you go for it often, all it takes is throwing your timing off a little bit and the incineroar gets punished hard.
Revenge stays active for long but the startup is pretty slow; Cloud's up air is way faster and Skyjay was likely mashing down b while being juggled; he has said he does so in other instances. Not only that, but after being destroyed by Skyjay last tournament he learned when to stop a few frames before attacking incineroar to confirm he wouldn't revenge him.
This matchup does not look easy for Incin. Props to Sky for taking it that far!

Unlike Sonic, Cloud is only a slight lose for Incin. Sparg0 was definitely just the better player here. Fantastic set.

Sky didnt play well in this set he hesitated on so many big punishes that would of taken a stock and had alot of easy revenges he could of capitalized on. But none the less its harder then it looks and was a great set!

Yeah, he sucks so much. Playing against a top world player and whiffing a predictable move on a fast character while being under pressure of your last stock of the tournament and down in % and with your resource that goes off only on the next move and can be lost with time, %dmg or a grab, he clearly needs to step up his game.

@@lapotato9140 the comment puts things in a vacuum and I provided contest. Skyjay is the best incineroar out there, "he needs to stop whiffing the whips", maybe consider at what level he's playing with what character and against who. He could choose not to throw the whip there, sure. But he has 30s/36%/a grab time to take the stock in ONE move, else everything is probably lost there. It's an high risk high reward play and he lost the bet. Simple as that.
@@just_a_folk95 have you considered that improvement would inherently necessarily require him to either lose bets less of the time or at least put himself in less situations that call for that, REGARDLESS of skill level?
@@lapotato9140 that's another aspect and I agree with that. Though Incineroar is inherently a character that has to put itself at risk to properly shine. Just dismissing everything as "he needs to stop whiffing" when the guy goes last hit on his last stock vs a player of that caliber, at such a tournament with stakes, fatigue etc is downplaying at best.

Most deserved whiffed punish in smash history tbh. Spargo knows how to play cloud, not smash. Learn the difference. There's a reason why sparg0 secondaries don't exist. Fake player
