    I genuinely think so many Ken players would drop him with those jinrai changes. Not like it's the biggest nerf, but Ken players would cry from the rooftops at not having a safe pressure ender to buffer into.

    For Jamie, maybe they can do something like G?
    G can do some of his power up moves by doing EX move at 0 level, so a Jamie that can breakdance / Dive Kick or Command Grab by spending Drive Meter could be a good idea or completely broken ? I don't known.

      One of the best ideas I heard in a while and it's still too much for Jamie looool. But don't feel bad none of us know what should be done with Jamie. We're just waiting for the day Capcom accepts to make him Top tier.

      As a Jamie main, I wish getting him to 4 drinks was actually worth all the oki/neutral sacrifice. He should become like Jealous Rage A.B.A. and becomes an absolute offense monster if he's gonna lose the powerup at Round Start anyway.
      OR...for every Drink he has he gets a half-bar of Super at the next Round Start, so at least getting all those drinks in don't go completely to waste.

      I'm hoping they just revert the scaling on 5HK back to season 1 - selfishly I'm much better at executing that one than the 2HP combo.
      Getting the fastest walk back again would be nice too.

      What are you talking about? Chun has been the target of numerous dumb nerfs since SF4. It's not even that she's nerfed, but the things that made her good in the past are gone now and have been stolen by buttface Cammy particularly her walkspeed and her Hazanshu's ability to counter projectiles, apply pressure and use in combos are now in Cammy's Quick Spin Knuckle.

    Hey Kimberly main here. I don't want her to have an invincible ex Tatsu because as of right now she could convert it into LV2 and a disgusting mid screen +4 strike/throw afterwards. That is way too much.
    Instead i would love if they would walk further down the 234LP road. It was buffed so it can be used as a footsies tool and gives a followup with good spacing but it still has horrible scaling. Cancelling into LV3 almost seems like a waste.
    234LP should reward you more if you place it well, whiff punish with it or use it as a trade tech followup. Maybe Capcom can dial back some of that scaling

    With Gief’s mp target combo the thing still whiffs on second hit at unreasonable ranges if it becomes more unsafe the consistency on hit to get a full confirm needs to be buffed AGAIN to make it confirm more consistently rather than really guessing if it’s gonna connect or not

    For Ryu this is definitely a selfish useless buff but I wish they would make air EX Tatsu launch higher so he can land a level 1 after it. Currently,no matter what you do after a big combo using that as an ender the enemy launches too far and hits the ground too fast for it to connect so as a combo junkie I'd like more fun for him

    4:02 Maybe if they use Broskis idea, they already have the drink animation from the drink follow up after the HK -> back HK -> long delay punch target combo at LVL 4 drink. It's only 2 frames longer than regular drink, but also moves you back. I think they can either keep it like that but maybe make it 60 frames (right now it's 52) just to justify the fact that once that activates, it's like a mini command backlash that give jamie two drinks. And even when he is at LVL 4 drink, will literally be a 1 drive gauge bar command backdash, as he will probably recover one bar from the two he spent on the EX.
    Edit: TBH idk cause theres a lot layers on this move. Just an example, a 60 FRAME BACKDASH sounds usless, keep in mind Ed's backdash from charged flicker is only 31 frames so imagine double that. Again it is 2 drinks but idk, just buff Jamie 🙏

    Man that AKI change is sorely needed. The hitbox for her HP Lash is so wonky it's insane, not even on jump-ins either. Sometimes it'll shave Giefs chest hair and he'll be fine but then on some Devil's Reverse entries it'll hit Bison on the head in a different timeline. That is if it hits him at all.

    agree with the juri nerf, but something I was thinking about for her (and by extension Lily) is if you PC her light fuha (or any fuha but this is mainly a lk fuha nerf) then she should lose the stock. Juri will just do LK fuha over and over and even if they get hit by like a 4 frame they don’t care, they are still rewarded with a stock even if they mispace. Ig it’d be a more a system mechanic thing cause I think if you can get punish countered on a stock mechanic (juri fuha and lily M/H wind stock vs Ryu denjin and Jamie drink leaving them counter hit state) then they should lose the stock.
    Ps, congrats on getting in capcom cup my goat!!
    edit: also as Gief player id take the 5MP tc change even tho being -6 is really funny but it would still need to be fixed cause it still drops the 2nd and 3rd hits at certain spacing and it’s still infuriating. Also make tundra storming a fuha stop her from getting a stock cause that’s be deserved

    Jamie can’t frame trap with his rekka. You can literally react to the recovery animation of the first hit and still punish because you can’t delay the second hit any meaningful amount.

    FYI Ken TC into first hit Medium Jinrai is a currently safejump, so making the move -5 would low key be a tangible nerf depending on how they did it. To make Jinrai -5, they’d either have to:
    a.) Take away 2f recovery and kill the safejump (Can still manually time it)
    b.) Add 2f blockstun and kill the frame trap (Can still manually delay it)
    c.) Add 2f blockstun but make the low followup 1-2f slower and kill some Heavy Jinrai loops
    d.) Add 2f blockstun but change the cancel timing so Medium Jinrai is cancelable 1-2f later and possibly kill the EX Jinrai -> Medium Jinrai loop (I’m not actually sure how tight the heavy followup is after EX Jinrai but iirc you currently can’t delay the followup for that route so widening the gap might make it stop working)
    Of these, b is probably the most sensible since delaying the low followup is an important skill for Ken’s mixup game anyway, but low key adding exactly 1f blockstun and making Medium Jinrai -6 instead of -5 might actually be better

    Dhalsim needs float hurtbox fixed to match the visuals. Currently you can be floating well above the guy's head, and you can get hit by di, and so many things that don't visually connect.

    The Blanka change going against system mechanics fits the character honestly. He is the only character with a divekick who can do it from a back jump. Lily used to be able to but they considered that a bug and removed it, so it's only Blanka that can break the rules.

    To remove throw loops, all they need to do is give you 4f wakeup throw protection. It's very unlikely that it would happen in this patch, but if they don't want to go through and regulate frames and distances of every character, this would be the lazy way.

      3f, not 4f. 3f lets you mash 4f buttons on wakeup to beat throw loops, 4f makes meaty throws always whiff even outside of throw loop situations

    So my opinion on the patch is as follows and I’ll go alphabetically.
    AKI: Fine as is but she might get buffed.
    Akuma: I think he’s too popular of a character and too respected by Capcom but even if he does get nerfed to a degree he’ll still be doing massive damage, sorry guys.
    Blanka: Maybe slight buff.
    Cammy: She’s a pain in the ass to fight against but my one complaint is that her Cannon Strike can come out real fast to where my eyes can’t process it. She might get slightly nerfed but not enough to make a difference.
    Chun Li: Largely untouched.
    Dee Jay: Untouched
    Dhalsim: Untouched
    Ed: He’s probably getting nerfed significantly in regard to meter gain after Level 2.
    E Honda: Big Buff.
    Guile: Slight Nerf but not enough to make a difference.
    Jamie: He’s getting some buffs.
    JP: Maybe untouched but who knows.
    Juri: I’m largely spiteful towards this character because I don’t like her playstyle at all and she’s easily my most hated matchup by far. I would love to see Capcom break her legs but realistically she’s not getting touched.
    Ken: Too popular of a character so I expect he’ll survive this one.
    Kimberly: Also a nightmarish matchup for me but I could see her getting buffed.
    Lily: I would like to see Condor Spire be punishable on block because that move always messes me up but not enough people play the character so I could see her staying the same.
    Luke: He’s getting buffed.
    Manon: I would love to see her get buffed and I think she will get buffed.
    Marisa: She needs to get buffed and I think she will.
    M. Bison: I don’t think he’s getting nerfed but I do think he’s getting some buffs with him being the new Giant Attack fight. I may be wrong but if not God help us all.
    Rashid: He might stay the same but I’m not sure.
    Ryu: He’s getting some buffs not enough to make a difference though. I wish he wasn’t so Drive Gauge heavy.
    Terry: Guy just came out so I could see him remaining untouched or getting buffed. He’s fun as a character though.
    Zangief: I would love to see Gief get some buffs because he’s fun to watch at a high level but realistically I think he’s going to be unchanged this go around.
    That was hard to think about. Balancing a fighting game is hard guys.
    The realistic thing is with most of the roster being in Capcom Cup in a few months a lot of these characters might have some slight adjustments but not enough to make a noticeable difference.

    Every jamie player has a different idea for him lol, but we all agree something would be nice. Ex drink is a pretty common idea, but longer animation would make it useless. Normal drink after a knockdown is still not super safe, especially against fast DRs; longer animation just means it’s never getting used.
    My dream is that dive kick and bakkai are not locked behind drinks but the ex versions are. That or the moves get improved someway with the drinks. There’s no reason for these to be locked behind drinks when Cammy has better versions of those moves with no resources.

    May I also suggest one system change that during combos EX specials force the same drive cooldown that DRC does so you can't do 2 ex in a combo and then go into oki with like 3.5 bars still online.

    4:30 His level two should allow him to hold two drink stocks after use at max after the install is done. Or some sort of adjustment with the level two it would help with his pacing throughout the rounds. Idk

    The only thing that makes me worried about the rashid change is that its possible that he doesnt get anything after m spike > lvl2 if they neutral get up. An increase in speed might mean you can't push them out of the way to get the strike throw mix. But maybe it can be worked around idk

    For Jaimie they need to give him 2 things to make him relevant:
    - Remove the damage nerf on level 0 and 1 ( start at 100% and starts getting buffed at level 3)
    - Let him keep some of his drinks next round ( 4 drinks becomes 2 in the next round, 2 and 3 drinks become 1 and other cases he starts at 0 because he sobered up in the meantime)

      I don't like the first change. Yeah it's a buff, but it encourages Jamie to drink less. I'd rather unique characters lean into their unique mechanics

    I want lily st LP or cr LP to combo into LK spire without wind, she has to combo into DP or EX spire if she doesn't have wind right now off a light hit, and it doesnt work consistently depending on spacing, if the enemy is crouching, if you do 3 hits etc
    lights into a knockdown shouldn't be a metered or hard to gauge if itll hit option IMO, i think every character can do this pretty trivially except her and maybe zangief(?)

    I think for Ed, only Medium Psycho Flicker should get the DI nerf
    With regular throw spacing in corner, Light Flicker does not connect. As well as this, you have to meaty Flicker *insanely* precisely in order for it to beat DI on wakeup. *And* with the existence of PP, or waiting to EX DP after Ed drags you in, his options on wakeup, while still strong, are fairly limited as is.
    With only nerfing Medium, he has to be a lot riskier from extended ranges, which would add to the guessing games and actually be more fun to play with.
    I definitely don't disagree with the punish, but hurting his light and ex psycho flicker in neutral and making him even weaker to DI than he already is would be awful to play with. Honestly I'd rather get rid of the Dream Combo than have to deal with randomly Drive Impacting players being rewarded with a third to even half of my health just for trying to play in my range. The amount of times I lose games from whiffing a DP or my opponent using DI against my high commitment hit confirms is infuriating.

      Both those games are great! I promise not everyone thinks they aren't "real" fighting games but the overall SF community is great and the game is super fun when you get into it, especially the drive system.

    I'm not expecting anything huge like throw loops being removed or any character to be destroyed. As a Marisa players, only thing I want for her is for scutum to not leave her in a mix up when she lands it. Let her get a light confirm on hit even if they scale it.

    As a Manon player I feel like your ed change would be huge. Getting in against a flicker spamming ed is pain. They’d at least have to represent the back sway cancel

    13:53 I've been playing Deejay more lately and the only change I'd want for him this patch is less pushback on 2LK. He's very weak to people just walking out of his pressure right now since 5LP>2LK>2LP doesn't work without drive rush and he doesn't have a cancellable 2MK

    I understand the fact that throw loops exist because if they not, wake up parry will be to strong, especially for casuals when are the most concern from Capcom.
    And balancing the parry is the way to go for remove throw loops, but they ALREADY DID THIS with the nerf to parry recovery and throwable range.
    Chun li for example, have a real throw loop if the opponent wake up parry because of the increase on recovery and range box of the parry, so i dont understand why they dont remove this already.

    As a Chun player, a buff I’ve been wanting is to give OD hazanshu a 2 frame faster startup so that 4hp will naturally combo into it. This is because right now OD hazanshu is pretty useless unless you’re using it for fireballs, but even then it’s not that good. Then again, I’m not really sure if this would be too strong or if she really needs it cause she isn’t that bad right now. Capcom will probably end up doing something like letting the second part of OD legs to cancel into lvl 3 however.

    to get rid of throw loops, its very easy, KOF has been doing it for many years, that is wake up chars to gain a few frames of throw inv. i suppose capcom can make that normal throws only, command throws still works

    Tbh, I'd rather have less pushback on Manon's lp, than being able to do counterhit into medium. Realistically the dream buff is a 6-frame medium, which is the best of both worlds, and a consistently good punish to drive reversal, but I'll legit just take the pushback buff if I couldn't be greedy lol.

    And as predicted, Cammy got basically her best neutral button nerfed in exactly the same way Karin's was, instantly eliminating Punk as a threat, by design. The only real surprise here is that they did this at the beginning of the year, rather than waiting until two days before Capcom Cup to nerf Cammy.

    Kimberly - Oh God. I hate this change, but you also got a point. The amount of SA1 I bait is ridiculous. I think this would only increase if it was "cheaper".
    Ken - I really like this change. It's not an outright nerf, but it gives you more way to interact with his offense. That's kinda what they did with Bison though. Reducing pushback makes it so that he can't create spacing traps as easy as he could before, but it doesn't make the special move any less stupid.
    Marisa - Changing Gladius like that kinda neuters Scutum though. Scutum having an extra point of armor isn't something so important that would still make it the preferred reversal. I would say that a better change for her is making charged jHP and jHK cause tumbling state on hit. It's still too small, but at least makes previous change make sense.
    Ed - I agree, but how come more Eds doesn't use this? EW, Leshar, Momochi, Tachikawa, Brine, they all just dash and go for a throw. This option is bonkers, but for some reason no one uses it...
    Bison - Still top tier after this, but good changes honestly. I think he also needs scaling on sHP. That thing is way too safe and almost always guarantees a bomb plant on any hit.

      regarding kimberly, if she doesn't get invul reversal then they should remove Rashid's invul DP for consistency. They're both mix up heavy character but then kimberly has lower dmg, no invul DP, no utility level 2, makes no sense imo

    Keep your eyes peeled for buffs to (checks Japanese CPT qualifiers) Akuma and Ken, nerfs to all the legitimate threats like Cammy, Aki, Blanka, Ed and Zangief (sorry Itazan), and no improvements to any low tier characters that somehow made it to CC anyway, even if they legitimately need them, like Manon.
