Excellent work, Trond. I've seen several of these little creepers in the trees around our house but I've never been fortunate enough to photograph one. I keep hoping........ Spring is here but it is around 40F in the mornings. Maybe it will warm up soon and the spring migration will get underway. Usually the last half of April and the first half of May is the best time to photograph the warblers coming through out area. But the leaves are out and growing and the birds are getting harder to see. Just have to pick a good spot and sit and wait, and then move on to the next spot and sit and wait.
Who ever came up with the name TREE CREEPER aint done never seen no tree creeper in the flesh. There ain't much creeping involved, Tree scamperer would be a much better name lol Lovely vid mate.

Awesome video, I can't believe that you just published video about treecreeper.. I've been capturing that little creature a whole day today here in Finland 😊 I waited an hour in under one tree to get photo under the treecreeper along the log.. 😅
The frame at 10:39 is my favourite Trond, with the warm orange light in the background! I have only photographed the treecreeper once and when I got home realised I had accidentally switched to jpeg and I'd blown the highlights. I was gutted! By the way, SNAP on the binoculars. The monarch m7's are really nice. It must be amazing to have the 45 megapixels on the Z9 as well for cropping into shots like that where the bird is further away. Keep it up mate, your videos are a source of constant inspiration.

I learned something today. We have a little bird called the brown creeper (Certhia americana) where I live in the USA. It looks and behaves just like your treecreeper. I researched and they are related. Not sure which yours is perhaps. Certhia familiaris (eurasian treecreeper). At any rate, they are related. I did not know there was a related bird in your part of the world. Always a good day when we learn something new.
Loved this video. Such a tiny bird, would be hard to spot so exciting to capture such good images. Reminds me of my efforts to capture tiny spotted pardalotes here in Australia.

Ciao Trond, nice video as always. How do you feel about hand helding the 600? While I saw that you started with the 500 before to have the 600, I went straight to the 600 FL instead of the 500 FL, and after 2 years, I started to struggle in some situations to handheld long time that beautiful but heavy 600. For me tripod and monopod is a no no choice, I hate them especially for my kind of photography hunt. So, I was thinking to downsize to the 500, keeping F4 as a must. But I'm conflicted because the 600FL is an incredible lens, allows me to heavy crop without almost any loss of details. And even those 100mm extra are gold most of the times. Did you see any difference in quality between the two? Cheers
It is okay. The FL version has a good weight. But still need to use good techniques to hand held it for longer period. No not optical. Only focal lenght. Witch I like a lot :)

We regularly get one at a feeding station nearby. It began just feeding on one tree and now feeds on fat all feeder. It also has found woodpecker stash of crushed nuts and can be seen feeding for 10 + minutes without moving. Great video again. Everyone tells a story.

Monopod is very convenient and useful in this of conditions.

Here in USA we call them Brown creeper and they always have the same behavior, starting always from bottom to top and around the tree 🐦👍🤗

Did you add an extender to your 600mm lens? I noticed you pulled something out of your bag and attached it to the camera then re-attached the lens.
