There's no reason to run punch dodge on arc anymore. Prismatic just does it way better. To me, arc hunter is now pretty much stuck on its own unique strongest thing; Raiden flux arc staff with the blind/jolt kit. It has become my new top pick for arc surge gm now because you can deal vs all champions very easely and the playstyle represents the general playstyle in a gm, which is stay long range, build up super and then you go crazy These days, I spam ascension everywhere (would be even better if galvanized armor was a thing), jolt everything and get lots of ionic traces. Although this gm in particular you can't really do it since it's so open field and threshers are there. But birthplace last week... I went crazy
@@kupo6905 this is a problem though isnt it. you run punch dodge on prismatic . I'm explaining to the viewers why i used double bomber and marksman dodge. So are you saying you want the kit to be good only on prismatic? How would you personally balance prismatic vs light classes?
@Chablo91 No, I thought that people were telling you to run gambler on arc when, as I said, there's no reason to run that anymore. Even if they meant getting tempest strike back, that aspect is bad for what it does. I use ascension since it's the only option left (and it allows the super to stun overload). But in this gm in particular, I can't do that since it's too open field and being in the air for so long will make you killed, thus running bomber/outreach on a low dodge cd is 100% justified Now when it comes to prismatic vs normal subclasses, I think at this point we're in a situation where either prismatic should get nerfed in general (which nobody wants, obviously) or the better pick, make normal subclasses unique enough to use them (example void hunter for invisibility uptime). Arc hunter is left with a very strong super build combined with a kit that excels in jolt and blind, but it feels bad when its old popular dodge punch build got powercrept and even nerfed because of prismatic (combination blow nerf was meant to target prismatic, but it also negatively affects arc). Which begs the question; should prismatic get pve nerfs seperately, not affecting the normal subclasses? Imo, it would be better this way
@@kupo6905oh i see dude. No it was from the past people nitpicking on dodges. What about some light mechanics. Or two super bars maybe for light subclasses. They could buff fragments on light subclasses sure but is that enough to move the needle. Either that or some transcendence feature on light subclasses but with some spin on it.

Have you tried a galanor/star eater silkstrike prismatic build? I feel like it would play and behave very similarly to this one but with more frequent supers which dont have quite the same damage output (but star eater gets you closer). Woven mail on orb, high damage supers, frequent supers, and if you run a kinetic tremors hung jury or blast furnace you can build transdendence very quickly for grenade/melee spam to sever everything and cause ignitions and have even more control over the battlefield. Nice video! The new roaming super changes are a blast, and arc staff palm strike is rly good to elim yellow bars rn.

It is a hard GM, I was doing this with random groups and got so many wipes, thresher is the worst. Did get clears with all classes, but finding good weapon combos for oscilation is not easy.
Good question here is my findings. Its never worth it to use blight ranger solo anytime, the damage it does is a fraction of what a roaming super could do. If you want a arc build that's interesting. Try lucky raspberry it really does cook you can also run it on a prismatic hunter and it really does great things with good jolt damage constant arc bolt spam with cure on nades on the fragments that prismatic can run .
Thanks dude appreciated response. That's what I figured. But I was kinda hoping the damage would be enough to justify turn on and off constantly. To increase its neutral game uptime if that makes sense? And yes I've seen and tried Prismatic raspberry it's AMAZING paired with buried bloodline.
You may have explained this in your first run, but what is the damage reduction for the modifier? I tried using shotguns with my mates last night but we weren’t comfortable playing that way and it caused us to wipe a couple of times and then give up. But maybe we should have played like normal and just taken the damage reduction
35 percent i believe. You can choose to overcome it by using kinetic tremors etc and grand overture or play into the mod with smgs and such. I think grand o is really the easiest clear you can do.
I farmed for the SMG yesterday. The RNG loot pool will not give me that gun with that perk. Ppl want RNG but do they actually? For me give me mods literally miles better
As many times as I've tried the spine build, I've never seen the value. It's fun, but it has next to zero survivability, especially solo. The only time it was okay was during boss dps with a well and demo rocket, or vow with the raid mods. Again, it's fun, but not having a good way to heal on solar hunter sucks. Maybe adding buried bloodline for devour might help. Ophidia does is almost the same build since it's also just constant ignitions but from infinite knives, and it let's you take the healing granade for some survivability. Still not sure about it for solo play though.
Its flat out just not that good. As fun as the playback loop is. Its just too slow with no damage. You can throw like 5 tripmines at a champ it won't kill. If we add dragons breath that adds some value. You could go buried to add some survivability like you say
