Mods just make things more fun but do hope the DD2 team can consider tweaking or implement stuff later on. I sometimes find myself saying DD1 did this way better than DD2.
They released the survey about what ppl want from a dlc and what needs to change so maybe answer that so that if we get a rerelease like dark arisen u might see the changes we want
I think once the performance gets fixed and the qol updates gets sprinkled in, the story will be the most important problem to fix, and I don’t know if they can do that at this point
They really fumbled that football by not adding a hard mode or making NG+ more difficult. It took awhile for the first game to get hard mode (speedrun mode was kinda fun too) but they should have taken it into consideration when making dd2
eh honestly a lot of these just seem like things you’d install to bypass playing the game lol, instantly fast traveling anywhere, having infinite inventory space and on demand vocation changes and the ability to completely bypass the loss gauge just seems like trading substance for convenience lol. that customizable difficulty one seems awesome though, too bad i’m on console and have to wait for a hard mode lol 😭
Literally this. All the mods ive seen have been nothing but the complaints from people who basically wanted to play a different game entirely. Only thing I want is a hard mode, that by itself would make everything better imo
@@AMtoDGsame, fast travel isn’t even hard as you can get from city to city by Oxcart really quickly, it’s just that out in the field sometimes it takes a while to travel, which is part of what makes it fun that you’re actually adventuring. There just needs to be more enemies and difficulty, levitation and drop rates is kinda weird to mod in imo.
Is there a mod to bring back pause combos from DD1? I'm not usually into mods but True Warfarer is what I thought Warfarer would be and what I thought DD2 would be long before we saw gameplay (I was hoping for a vocation switch mechanic on the d-pad, like the Style Switch mechanic). This plus a harder ng+ would be perfect. The lock on isn't needed and probably f-s things up, DD1 and DD2 basically perfected how automatic lock on should work. Plus this mod uses the L3 on/off lock on I don't want to see anymore, since it's janky. A normal lock on, shoulder button with lock-on as long as the button is pressed would be something different.
Yea got True Warfarer as soon as I unlocked it havent looked back since Only use 3 weaps and a staff for levitating and no meister skills, so my playstyle is not too different from the vanilla but it nice to have the options. The greyed out skills in the vanilla just made it feel incomplete to me. Smaller lantern is a must as well
I'll just wait patiently for the High Gicel and High Fulmination mod.. And maybe, just maybe, a massive variety of new monsters. Btw, did they make a mod yet where you can equip more than 4 skills?
They have made a few mods that allows more than 4 skills. You just have to hit a button to swap between skill sets. Not great if you play with a controller, but fine if you play K&M.
Thunder mine could be used as a base for fulmination and im pretty sure wights can cast glicel so the spell is already on the game, its a matter of time.
Still holding out hope for a mod that allows Pawns to appear in the Rift with transmogrified appearances. Seeing the same meta gear on 90% of all Pawns (5% in starter gear) is such a downer.
@@Golghrom I'm much less concerned about cheat mods personally; there's not near enough mod users to exclusively flood the Rift with "cheat" Pawns, and there are even limits on what the Rift even allows to enter the Pawn pool in the first place. Plus, the actual gameplay is single player in every way that matters and it's all PvE anyway. And if you think about it? Technically the Custom Difficulty mod is a "cheat mod" because it actively adjusts the stats of enemies you encounter.. which is what the majority of long-term DD2 players have been asking for, and I most certainly want. I say let the mods run wild, the cream will rise to the top and we'll all be the better for it with more options to play.
I don't think it's possible. Only players with the same mod installed will see the effect. There's no way a modder can force all players to download the mod just for this. The only way is for the devs to implement an official transmog system and add it in as an update. This way, all the players' game will get the files if they update it.
Great video rift, as a ps5 player, all I can say is 😢. These mods are great though, really interested in seeing what the next few updates will be over the year, definitely hoping for a December release for dragon princess, felt like ddda had a better story than dd2, but once the dlc come out maybe that will improve and change the story, other than that dd2 is everything my 9 year old self wished for all those year ago when my older brother bought me a copy of dd for the ps3 lol, funny thing is that I didn’t play it on my ps3 until ddda dropped on the ps4 and then I was like, what the heck is wrong with me this game is badass haha. Still waiting on that motorcycle dlc btw.
I didn't like the custom difficulty tweaks mod because all it did was make enemies tanky and hard hitting. You can adjust it a bit, but it's the same lazy "difficulty" design many devs do for "hard mode". No improved AI, higher level variants, or anything like that. I hope the devs will add an official hard mode that doesn't make tanky hard hitting mobs, but with similar things I mentioned.
True new game + series of mods changes AI, resistances, etc. Check it out, it's difficult in a very fulfilling way. Not perfect, but very good compared to base game
@@ClickStab If the mod you're talking about is New Game Plus - True Difficulty, then yes, I tried and hated it. There's no fun in it when drakes nearly one-shot you and takes no damage to magic unless it hits the heart. The pawns don't know this and aims magic wherever. I also thought undead being extra tanky to mostly everything except holy, liches being resistant to holy damage, and griffins being resistant to fire was overkill. It's like this modder forgot there's no holy enchant in DD 2 and feathers are flammable. From what I've seen, there are only 3 weapons with holy damage: dagger, mage staff, and fighter mace. You shouldn't. In DD1 your pawn got banned from the rift if you modded their stats or vocation into an arisen-only vocation so I imagine it works the same in DD2. I haven't read about it or tested myself though so don't take my word for it 100%.
I'm not sure if you will get banned immediately, but maybe their anti-cheat system will probably catch you sooner or later for using cheat mods like adjusting pawn stats etc. During the beginning of my initial playthrough, I saw a pawn that was my level, but his Arisen was only level 2. I was level 33 at the time. There's no way a pawn can out-level the Arisen by that much unless cheats were used. I added the pawn as a favorite just to see what will happen to it. The pawn vanished from my list a few days later. The cheater either got caught and banned, or deleted the save file.
As long as the mod only alters local files and doesn't alter your pawns base stats, you are good to go. If you want to be really safe just turn off all your mods before resting at the inn or house.
