I always tell young guys to start weight lifting if they aren't already. The sedentary life will just depress you and eventually kill you if you don't do something about it. Weight lifting is one of the best things you can do for your mental health.

Lifting weights is fine. But I believe that young men need to embrace physical activity in as many venues as possible. Look at the older men who are in shape and have never been to a gym. They cut grass, shovel snow, chop wood, walk everywhere, stand more, and carry more stuff. Young men yes lift weights but make moving a lifestyle. Stop sitting and eating crap.

Best advice I ever got was from my best friends father, who was far more masculine than my own. One day when we were like 11 my friend ran to his mom after his father told him no about something, 10 minutes later he has a sitdown with us and said when we got older "NO ONE IS GOING TO COME SAVE YOU", your mother wont always be there for you. Having an older sister who was a habitual liar allowed me to identify dishonest people as an adult. The pain she inflicted on others and herself drove me to be brutally honest bc it struck me as a way to avoid causing so many problems. With age i learned to be more diplomatic. I relate to the "brutally honest" quality and I also tend to be myself everywhere I go. It's about being merciful, benevolent, honest, having a high sense of self-control, and having a sense of honor. And not necessarily practicing these traits for others, but for yourself.

The way you described transforming aggression and competitiveness into positive energy resonates with the fundamental attribution error. I’ve seen clients who, when faced with their own aggressive tendencies, assumed they were simply “bad” people, instead of realizing it was how they were channeling their energy that mattered. Once we worked on redirecting that aggression toward personal growth and success, they began thriving. Your focus on using discipline and channeling masculine energy for good is exactly the kind of advice young men need to redefine their path. This video was truly inspiring!

Spiritually, masculine energy is simply energy that is to be EXPRESSED outward into the world. Well-adjusted humans (male, female, other) are a harmonious combination of BOTH masculine + feminine energy. Pedestalizing one over the other is counterproductive. We need BOTH of these energies to live successful and fulfilled lives. The imbalance is what's toxic. The use of any energy in low vibration is what's toxic. Think I might do a video sometime in the future further articulating what masculine energy is and how we might use it productively in our lives. Sounds like a wonderful series/conversation.

It is possible to be very masculine and also be empathic, but similarly it is quite possible to be very masculine and not at all empathic. There is no longer and men spaces available for men by men. The Gym - gone, in its place a plausibly deniable spandex thirst trap, you know it, I know it.
Workplace banter - in its place, an over policed sterile environment devoid of creativity due to constant feigning offense to wield power over others and character assassination.
Video games - in its place, see the most recent "Concord" game.
Action movies - in its place, girl bosses.
Boys playing - in its place medication because they're considered defective girls.

I don't really recognize your point of view. Find any blue or pink collar job and see how little power HR or anything has over banter and how offensive people's humor is. Go to a smaller gym instead of a chain and see the same normal people you see at any gym; a few young lads crowded around the bench, some old dude still kicking it and a few women doing leg exercises. I don't recognize the thirst trap at all. Maybe this is very dependent on nation and the culture, but as a Western European dude in his 20s I don't think it's all that bad. Like always there's the good and the bad. I feel like your perspective is grounded in the internet and not in real life. And you gotta have a good sense of humour , Women love to laugh But to be funny you have to be lucid and spontaneous to be original and inventive , which require confidence & security , which require a good vocabulary... This is what hetro men , in my experience, lack.

Work on yourself. Ignore women completely. Leave them to their sisterhood of backstabbing, cats, wine, and book club meetings.

If you're "ignoring women completely" you probably do need to work on yourself... There are plenty of good women in the world, and if you're dismissing them based solely on their gender, your twisted sense of masculinity is getting in the way of you making meaningful and valuable connections in your life with real people who are just as complex and worthy of respect as you are.

There is no one more misunderstood than Andrew Tate. I'd rather be Andrew Tate than being a Jordan Peterson or this guy, someone who has struggled his entire life with mental health issues. And yet we must replicate his way of living, he is the guy we must look to. Men obviously need to feel a certain about themselves and the world to be healthy in mind and body. And Andrew Tate is far better to look at than these wimps who act as divine repositories of masculine wisdom but struggling in their own lives. And where were they before Andrew started speaking up for men. Now all of a sudden everyone is a masculinity expert by criticizing Tate when men were there suffering and they were all quiet.
